Mr, Mikes West Coast Grill Review

We went for dinner there tonight and we had a party of 12. Dinner was great service was great except for when waiter dropped my son's plate on him. But the meal was replaced quickly and it was a accident. All worked itself out. Definitely a great meal and would go back.

Amazing food. Lots of choices. The staff is very nice. Eventhough the price is a little bit high but once in a while is a great treat.

I have eaten here many times. Always good but you should make reservations for dining at dinner time.

Food was delicious. Had wings and Pickles... Butter chicken bowl was tasty...and the bruschetta was bomb. I'd fefinitely come back.

Weird portions sizes ...food was not great and expensive

Casual Steakhouse

Mr. Mike's a nice casual steakhouse located nearby Seaway mall on the parking premises.

The restaurant has a nice comfortable environment. It is a little bit on the ambient and loud side so if you're looking for a quiet restaurant this would not be one.

The restaurant is organized, friendly, clean and professional. Staff members are great and attentive.

There is a good selection of drinks with good pricing.

I had a sirloin steak ordered medium. This arrived rather closer to well done or medium well. Seasoning may have used a little bit more salt and pepper however, I was asked whether i needed table salt and pepper which i refused.

Well presented casual dish with 2 sides. Well proportioned as well.

Audible music was present at a good level, not too loud.

Overall good experience for a casual steakhouse.

Okay. We went 3 times to Mr. Mike's.
The first time we showed up with a few friends and it was quite busy. We got a booth for all of us (close to where some games are stored), but the atmosphere was a little noisy and I thought it was a little cold (okay, I belong to the people that are feeling cold easily). The noise was a bit too much, it was hard to have a conversation at the table.
I ordered the chicken butter bowl - it was good, but it could have been more.
The second time I went with my husband only. He really enjoyed his hamburger and was happy. I ordered the Classic Mikeburger with Sweetpotato Fries - the Burger was simply boring and my fries were partly black, so I didn't eat them.
The third time I went with my husband again. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and it was quite good. The salad came with a knife that was used - I assumed they only cut my chicken with it, but preferred not to use it.
My husband ordered something with chicken and cornbread and was very disappointed. It came with a little cornbread (he said it tasted more like carrots), a little coleslaw and two pieces of fried chicken wings. After that, he was still hungry. The price for that dish is also quite $$$.
The staff was always friendly, - but the last time we went I decided to finally say something, but even though it wasn't busy at all, the girl there didn't seem to be wanting to communicate with us.

We gave that place 3 chances, but there was always something. I didn't experience this with any other restaurant so far.

Tried my steak and my daughters. Both were no good. Only good thing is I got my money back for mine

Have come to this place twice in a week. Both times I have been greeted quickly by the friendly hostess'. Server came up quickly and took our order for drinks and food. The 'Mr Mike's Ale' was a great house beer. Food was very hot and tasty. We had great service on both nights but Colin, the bartender, was fantastic. Very attentive and friendly. Great experience and so glad we came here! Next time we are in town from Phoenix, will definitely come in.

Mallery was the greatest. The food was fantastic but I have to say mallery service was the icing on the cake I will definitely be back and tell all my friends about our experience. Gallery's customer service and her smile made our nite thank you for the great experience..

We enjoyed our last visit there. We are in the bar area and the noise level was pretty high. Had to shout to be understood so not great that way.

Excellent food. Service was terrible. We were seated promptly and then ignored for approximately 25 minutes. Another guest was seated and served drinks after us. We made eye contact with his server and she never came back. Went to find a server for drinks and order. Eventually found one and he got us drinks and said a server would be over to take our order. 10 minutes later I went to the bar to try to order and they sent a server to take it. The second star is because the food was very good and the games were a great idea. However a party of 4 with a 4year old and 6 year old when it is dinner time at 5:20 and they don't get fed until an hour later. The worst service I have ever seen. Perhaps we fell through the cracks but no drinks within 5 minutes and having to chase down a server repeatedly was not ok. We almost left but we would have had to start the process all over again somewhere else.

Amazing food and service. The Stuffed Mushrooms were amazing. The Srimpin' Steak was perfect, Cajun Chicken Salad. Really amazing. The Bugaboo Ribs were delicious. Highly recommended.

Food is ok. Overpriced for what you get. For the money I will just go to the Keg.

There was a lot of hype with this place, so the wife and I wanted to check it out and see if if it was worth it. We were impressed. The prices are slightly on the high side, but it s worth it for the quality and the portion size of food you get. We were both very satisfied with what we had, quite full, and the food was good quality and delicious, so we had very happy bellies. Our waitress was the right amount of fun and casual while still being professional. Offered us little samplers of the antler beer, exclusive to Mr. Mike s, in their own little tiny steins and we really enjoyed it and appreciated the suggestion with the testers...I forget which flavor we liked, but I think it was exactly what our waitress suggested before we even got the sample glasses. So we appreciated her experience and insight when ordering our different dishes and asked her opinion. Will definitely return.

I admire this restaurant! They provide superb meals, they have a nice menu, The chef in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I like a lot eating all their dishes. The food is always of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is very good too. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was discontended. Highly recommended.

Steak tasted like gummy play dough .No dressing on salad .veggies were raw .Soup bowl was fiery hot and when my wrist touched against it I got burned! Cheese was a gummy ball inside the soup .(but the waitress was nice) I heard her telling the cook about the problem with the salad and he argued with her. She said it was the second table that complained .I'll neverrrrr go again!!!!

Excellent dinner, and great service. Cori made sure we were well taken care of. Another great evening.

So happy to have indoor dining again. Mr Mike's has been one of our favorite restaurants since it opened. Their Antler beer is very good. Love the steak pasta and cajun chicken pasta. Love the fudge brownie dessert too but usually too full to have it.

Great place! Good atmosphere for dinning out in Welland. Our server Nate was excellent. He made us feel very welcomed and we will be back soon!

Overpriced in terms of food, prices are comparable to Kelsey s or Montana s but they should really be competing more with M.T Bellies. Atmosphere is good, seems like a good spot to have some drinks

Very good food at a reasonable price. The only downfall for me was that they don't offer espresso/latte or cappuccinos.

Was here after they first opened and everything was great if a bit pricey. Went again yesterday. Not too impressed. My mother ordered her steak well done. Came out med and was very tough. I ordered my steak med rare. Also came out med..too cooked for my liking. My nephew ordered the ribs...not much sauce and were very dry..didnt taste very fresh. They were not very busy yet we couldn't seem to find our waitress to grab some straws for our drinks. And again when we were ready to leave, no waitress around for 15 mins. All in all i think something has definitely changed with this place....just an update here. Since ny review Mikes steakhouse has sent me a 50 dollar gift card to make up for the experience. I am very pleased that they care and took the time to do this.

My family and I decided to dine in for one of our first outings since covid, we sat inside the dinning area and had Sheryl as our server. I must say our visit was incredible the food was amazing and everything came out to our specific needs! Sheryl was very interactive with our kids something you don t get very often anymore! Our son has never been so excited to see our server returning to the table, not only did she ask myself and wife about how our food was tasting she got down to our children s levels to ensure they were enjoying their food and ensuring they had everything needed! Haven t had this good of customer service in an extremely long time, and with covid we were not sure what to expect coming in. We will be returning very soon. 10/10 for us. Food and service were to die for.

I've eaten here a few times. Great food and attentive, good-humoured service, and fair prices. All this and a choice of pub atmosphere or a more sedate dining room. I've never had a bad experience here.

Had dinner with friends on the patio. Rain began and staff were quick to respond and provide extra shelter for us. Decent value for food and service provided.

Great and fast service. I had the bacon burger and friend had sirloin/shrimp dinner. My burger was delicious and friend loved his steak. I like the variety of food on the menu and price range.

Fantastic place to eat. Food was reasonable priced, though the food was absolutely great, good atmosphere. Bar on one side of you want to go in just for a drink, servers were really nice and patient, will definitely go back again. Thanks guys

Mr Mike's is a good stop for a change of pace. While not as 'dress up' and as expensive as the keg, Mr Mike's delivers the goods on the food side. Was unsure of having lunch here, but have certainly changed my opinion after having a recommendation and thoroughlt enjoying it. The menu seems well thought out and comprehensive, while sticking to a steakhouse kind of vibe. If you are looking for a good meal, reasonably priced. Give this a try, and I am betting it just might make your rotation of places you will find yourself going back to.

Great little place to eat in Welland located in front of the Seaway Mall very friendly staff and food is very tasty

Nice place, warm atmosphere.
Food was good but the steaks came under cooked. My medium on the medium well side was definitely medium which was still OK for me. On the other hand my wife's medium was rarer than rare and was sent back.
I will be back and still recommend.

Short wait on a busy night, delicious food cooked perfectly fast appetizers and amazing desserts. Not to mention the fast and attentive staff like our waitress Chantal F. Great job!

Every time I come here, regardless of the time (afternoon, dinner rush, late night) we always get the most amazing service and the food is cooked perfectly. I love all the options from gourmet steak dinners to simple grilled cheese, everything i ve teied has been phenomenal. They also have some really cool drink options!

It was just your run-of-the-mill general chain steakhouse it puts you in the mind of a Texas Roadhouse or outback steakhouse it's decent familiar food you can't go wrong with if your looking for something that's not too expensive and familiar

I been here a few times and the food is just okay. I had the panko shrimp appetizer tonight which was under seasoned. Our server tonight was over worked. Mitch had responsibility for both the bar and tables. Their was some type of fundraiser going on and the restaurant was understaffed for the turnout. I might sound like I am nitpicking but dirty dishes were left on our table for over 45 minutes and we had to ask another server for our bills. I don't blame Mitch, there should be someone else bussing and/or a dedicated bartender. I am in no rush to return.

Made a reservation to finally get a table. Food was good. Our server Erika was great and very friendly. Will definitely be going back!

We came here last night to try out the food and unfortunately we never got the chance.

We sat down looked at the menus, had plenty of servers walk past us and after about 15 mins of waiting still did not see any server or asked what we wanted to drink.

Needless to say we got up and walked out. Went down the street to MT Bellies where they had a lineup out the door, but within seconds of sitting down our server was there to greet himself and get our drinks.

I can honestly say this is the 2nd time we have walked out of a Mr. Mikes for the same reason just a different province.

Nice casual steakhouse that serves steak, ribs and burgers. Also has protein with salad options. Fun, lively atmosphere from a west coast chain that is just making its way to Ontario. Easy drinking B.C. craft brews and a cocktail menu for those who like big drinks. Check out their daily specials and happy hour options to make a visit more affordable. Table service similar to Milestones. Peach bellinis anyone?

Food great,super service all and all a great place to celebrate a FRIEND BIRTHDAY.

Update: we have again visited this location, ordered different dishes, and are yet again impressed. The meals were very flavorful, cooked to perfection and service was quick even with a full restaurant. Kudos to all the staff and thanks again!

Original: The first time we decided to stop in we happened to be there during dinner hour. We quickly realized by the filled parking lot and people waiting in the lobby that they were jam-packed. This is great sign for a place that opened not too long ago!
We decided that for our first experience we'd rather pick a quieter time to come back so they'd have a fair chance at a good impression. Hangry reviews are a little biased.

We visited at a quieter time and I can say I'm impressed. I enjoyed every bite of my meal, the staff was great and the atmosphere nice. We commented that it was great to see a good variety in age and gender of staff, unlike most places we visit where it seems rather unfair in hiring. We were very pleased by this.
We will be back with friends, family, and aquantences from overseas when they come to visit the Niagara region!

This location is simply amazing. Great experience every time I visit. My server this round was Sheryl and she was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make sure the dinning experience was the best it could be. Super nice and polite. Easy going and a joy every time she came to the table. Checked to make sure everything was okay more than once which is always appreciated. Sheryl is a great server and I would recommend you request her if you can! Best server I ve had at this location. This is one restaurant I will be recommending to all my friends and family. Food is delicious and has been every time.
