Ate at both french and mr cooper. Both had amazing service and food that we've re booked for an upcoming weekend.
Great hotel lost of history !! 5 floor is lovely don't know about the rest yet ! But staying again in February for my wife's birthday and our anniversary loved it !!
Absolutely fantastic couldn't fault a thing 10 out of 10
Great spa day. Food was healthy and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful, a thoroughly relaxing day.
Very nice hotel.
The location is excellent, not far from the various locations in the city center of Manchester.
The room is very spacious, although it is old, but it is expensive.
Perfect location in the centre of Manchester. Friendly staff and large rooms. Very clean. Didn't eat here as attended the Half marathon the following day. Would stop overnight again
One of the best hotels in Manchester with a great bar and some lovely rooms. French restaurant is not as good as it use to be but Mr Cooper's House & Garden serves great food at a good price. Cocktails in the bar afterwards... 4 out of 5...
BUT THEN
visited the hotel today (17th September) and ordered the Caesar Salad from the menu. The menu clearly states that this is a (v) vegetarian option but partway through eating I found an anchovy. I know that anchovy is part of the ingredient but presumed that this would be omitted because of the (v) status. Time to change the menu guys? Dropped a point from 4 to 3 stars...
Stunning venue with lovely rooms etc. The only thing I didn't like was the price! Very expensive but lovely place
Beautiful hotel and the staff couldn't do enough to help
The Midland is an absolutely lovely hotel, maintaining its quality in the rooms as you see from entering the establishment. The quality of the staff is excellent - the hotel may not be the cheapest but the value for money for staying there is very high indeed.
We had afternoon tea at the Midland. It was scrumpcious. Absolutly fantastic.
My friend had book it as a treat & somewhere nice to catch up. We were showed to our table & napkin put on our lap. Then we were given the menu, to tell us what we were having, a glass of water was poured, followed by a glass of champagne.
When the sandwiches, scones & cake arrived, it look really nice, & tasty which it was. Everything was nice from the staff, who were really good, & when you got to the scone, they arrived with a choice of jams.
We stayed, I think a hour & half, it went so fast. If you go to Manchester treat yourself it's wort it.
It was grand in every sense of the word. The staff were so helpful and I think that made for a wonderful overall atmosphere in people and place.
Lovely hotel but the room where our breakfast and lunch food was served was very hot.
Comfortable rooms and beds, friendly staff, nicely appointed facilities!
I absolutely love this hotel. Historic and beautiful , it is a very nostalgic place for me. Used to visit a lot with my mum and dad in the 70's. Have been since with my daughter for lunch. I have never actually been lucky enough to stay there, maybe one day.
I attended today for a conference , went in three of the meeting rooms which were all lovely . The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is lift access to all floors , and also disabled access and toilets . The toilets are very clean and to a high standard . The food is delicious . Would highly recommended a visit to this beautiful hotel .
Extremely relaxing place to be, perhaps too much. The Spa and service were perfect, I'm unable to find a bad point about it.
Unfortunately they messed up our table but sorted it quickly and were very accommodating
Location of the hotel is great. Hard to get more central really. We stayed in a King Guestroom. Room was clean and had everything you would expect. WiFi is free and was plenty fast enough. Reception was well staffed and very polite.
Service at the desk was brilliant and extremely helpful. The room and bathroom were nicely designed and the check out time being 12 rather than 11 was a nice difference. Our smoke alarm sounded 3 times for no reason but apart from that, it was a great stay!
Nice hotel at good location with a range of facilities.
The Afternoon tea was incredible, fantastic service and food. Would definitely recommend.
Maybe the best hotels in Manchester.... Top class place, one of the most posh, which still had the good old faithful concierge in a top hat.
Staff were friendly and provide on of the best service you can find.
Rooms are modern with USB and updated showers. Beds are big and comfortable and spacious enough. breakfast was well presented and tasted good. (Full English or continental) I can't complain really.
Had our Christmas party here great dear drinks though
Great location.
Old hotel.
We found a spider in the room
Lovely room, lovely building really. Couldn't have been closer to where we needed to be. Not cheap but you get what you pay for!
Enjoyed my stay here. Hotel filled with history itself (Rolls and Royce, Churchill, Posh and Becks, etc). Great breakfast.
The hotel appears to have been renovated since my last visit here in a professional capacity. We used the conference room and it was fine. The foyer, bars and lounge look fantastic now.
Perfect place to stay. Rooms are big and quiet. Super breakfast.
Nice hotel and rooms are very nice since the refurb. Bar staff very pleasant but the spa staff are very off. Service levels below par as they didn't collect our laundry - twice and then said laundry was not available on the Sunday. Basically good but definite room for improvement guys
Beautiful place. The staff served a function room full of people very well, and were polite and helpful. In a great spot with a tram station just outside the front door and lots of great places nearby.
New renovation beautiful rooms are big bathroom gorgeous! Only down sides room was cold, no cooked breakfast and nosey early morning like 5am early!
The hotel is currently under renovations which wasn't communicated in anyway before our arrival. Our room had large water damage stains on the roof of the bathroom and bedroom, the drain in the bath was blocked causing dirt to bubble up More
Very friendly staff , location and beautiful decorations throughout. Very large function halls with great food and entertainment
I was here on a works award party. The food was superb. I stayed in a double room and it was lovely. The bed was really comfy and the hotel was quiet enough for a great nights sleep.
Staff service is great. Food fantastic. Location highly recommended.
Lovely hotel with great facilities and transport links.
Conference facilities were clean, lots of different suites of varying sizes. Refreshments was basic, lunch was super basic, only one hot dish. Not very impressive.
Nice hotel with big rooms, good spa and good food. Very good location!
Clean rooms. Friendly service. Beautiful building. Great food. Smells great. Location in Manchester could not be any better! Very convenient and close to everything you'd want to see or do. Knowledgeable staff... I'd stay over and over and over again...
Fantastic hotel. Value for money is great and the service excellent. I left my passport in the room safe, realized at the airport and called the hotel. Security and Concierge got a taxi to race over and I had everything ready to catch my flight in time. I could not be more grateful!
Excellent food and service, good value too. Highly recommended.
Fantastic service and food from an established organisation in Manchester.
Beautiful hotel and ambience. Rather expensive, however is a nice place for food and drinks
This has undoubtedly been a magnificent hotel. Communal areas still very good but the bedrooms are just tired, albeit very clean.
Wonderful hotel with very attentive staff. Rooms were in excellent condition. Food ordered in the restaurant was outstanding.
Plush on the outside, bright, beautiful, inspired by nature on the inside. I popped in for lunch at Mr Cooper's House & Garden. Food was of excellent quality.
The room is in the heart of the city. There are shops around. Wifi is strong. Free to use. No code required. Large double bedroom Shower is strong, like
Very friendly and warm welcome. Great location and rooms.
Attended for my graduation so didn't stay here but the hotel is beautiful, very clean and the staff are polite.
The Midland itself is a lovely hotel in a great location. Very central with great access for all transport services. The venue is very spacious and exquisite. The service from all the staff was excellent, they were all polite and efficient. The quality of the food and drink was a little less consistent. The drinks themselves on the whole were ok however some were a little subpar which is surprising considering the price. The food ranged from excellent to unpleasant with the majority of the food bring the latter. Overall it was a lovely experience that was only really tainted by some inconsistent food options.
One of the best hotel in the North of the UK, historical place, amazing staff, welcome, smiling and really helpful.
Restaurants and bars are as good as the hotel.
I asked for directions to a Catholic Church from the reception. She replied whether I wanted something.
I repeated & spoke slowly.
Again,she asked what I wanted
3rd time, then she said she would checked on her computer.
Gave me a church which is Anglican.
I checked myself & found the Catholic church nearby
This place is amazing. The room was wonderful, and the staff was super sweet. For a last minute booking the cost was pretty cheap, and they were very accommodating. I would, and plan on, staying there again.
