Lovely place, comfortable rooms in a convenient location in the centre of Manchester. It is a bit on the pricey side but no more than you would expect. Unfortunately you can hear the horns of the trams early in the morning in your room depending on the location of your room. Breakfast is nice, surprised there was no black pudding as you are in Lancashire.

A beautiful hotel bang in the centre of town. It has an old world charm and adds beauty to the Manchester City centre area. The interior is also beautifully built and well maintained. There are meeting rooms and a spa. It also has a history about being the place where the idea of Rolls Royce developed. The rest is history.

We visited The Midland for afternoon tea one Thursday afternoon, the better half and I. The tea, Champagne, cakes and sandwiches were excellent. The staff were professional and yet approachable and very nice to talk to.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon and will be going back as soon as we can find the time.

A beautiful hotel inside and out. The building is impressive and has the most amazing reception area I have ever seen. The staff are so professional and treat you very well. Our room was lovely with original decor and a huge bed. We especially enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi- an ideal place to relax after walking around Manchester. Can't go back!

Not as good this time They were full and put me into an accessible room which being 6 ft 2 was a bit tricky with shaving , brushing teeth etc. as the sink was about knee level ! Twin beds really soft and headboard bearly attached to the wall in fact I took it off to go to sleep. Reception staff courteous, breakfast staff took far to long acknowledge me. Wonderful other rooms that colleagues stayed in etc and a marvellous tree in reception.

Went to Midland Hotel for afternoon tea to celebrate my friends birthday. Arrived prior to time booked and l went to the bar and ordered 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate. Advised they would bring to table. 20 mins later, 2 reminders and no champagne. Then advised table ready for afternoon tea and told waitress no champagne delivered yet and was ordered 20 mins ago. Promised to rectify immediately 10 mins later and further reminder before actually receiving. Appalling service, food mediocre. Would not go again and would not recommend d

This is a traditional British hotel, full of character. It's worth a visit just to see the grand interior of the ground floor. You feel like you're stepping back into Edwardian times. The room I stayed in was an inexpensive twin which had More

Room has ample facilities but furnishings are really dated. Floor is SUPER creaky as you walk around the room and you can totally hear the room above you loud when they're walking around or if they opened their door. Its as though they use some kinda hollow wood flooring. Really bad if you need a good rest. Staffs are friendly and helpful though and location wise is quite centralised.
