Busy busy busy. I had a fab time. It's about time ...
Busy busy busy. I had a fab time. It's about time this place was demolished and a modern hotel built

The event hosted there was great and the service provided was too.
Spa was very nice, the food is excellent but not if you are hungry
Nice decor. Christmas tree was so tall looked amazing
location was good. hotel nice and clean. facilities good. good rooms good beds any problem we had gabrielle sorted it with a smile nothing was too much trouble. My family and I really enjoyed the stay.
Just returned after attending Company dinner dance. Hotel room very comfortable albeit a little noisy in the daytime but nothing to complain about. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful especially Kevin on reception who booked us in. Thank you The Midland Hotel and Staff.
Traditional English, with great SPA! It is an annual pleasure to be there.
Great service and room for a ball event, but the food servings were noticeably smaller than our last visit
Lovely overnight stay. Rooms a little dated. A good location for shopping trip.
The Midland was my home away from home while exploring the northern UK for just under a week. The place was packed; I visited during several university graduations, all converging upon the lobby and meeting suites of the Midland. There were hundreds of graduates, but the staff still made sure to help me feel at home here. It just goes to show how good a venue the Midland can be for parties! The lobby was spacious and reflected the turn-of-the-century charm and sophistication of this historic building. The room I rented was a single but was huge for a solo traveller! I made reservations for Mr. Cooper's, their casual restaurant. The place was packed, but the staff was prompt and courteous. Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Midland and will most likely book here again next visit to the UK.
Gorgeous hotel went to use the spa, lovley staff, fab afternoon tea.
Wonderful day!! Great value leisure pass. Best time to go is the morning. Staff polite and happy. Facilities are high standard and we left with a glow!
Very clean. Decent size room and comfy bed. Spa has a small pool but the special shower is excellent. Great breakfast and fantastic customer service..
Over priced and very underwhelming.. went there as a late booking and got dumped in an unsuitable room with more problems than a cheap guesthouse.
Came here last year for an awards event... This place really is the jewel in Manchester's crown
My organisation held a conference here this week. The staff have been nothing but helpful and the service has been amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and my room was very lovely.
Fabulous food, service very poor, and they charged us twice for the drinks
Staff helpful but dissapointed with lounge not many big armchairs
Fab hotel, just stayed for 1 night while we were in Manchester seeing Lion King. Staff very friendly and there wasn't a single time i had to open a door for myself. Food at the Wyverne was lovely and not too expensive. Again restaurant staff were friendly and very attentive. Room itself was smaller than I expected but nicely decorated, bathroom was clean and again decorated nicely. The bed was super comfortable and even with the railway I had a great nights sleep.
Breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had included in a hotel stay. There was so much choice; full English, pastries, yoghurt, hams, cheeses, fruit fresh and dried, yoghurts, nuts, toast, crumpets and a good selection of drinks.
I was disappointed to find the French closed for refurbishment but I'm more than happy to go back when its open and maybe this time book some treatment and take my swimming costume.
My only warning is be careful of the mini bar, you are charged as soon as you remove and item so if you like my husband and like to go through a mini bar..you'l get charged for everything you take out!
Great hotel.
Very expensive and dire quality rooms. Spa and restaurants looked ok but didn't use them.
A nice restaurant that was very busy and quite noisy. I had garlic mushrooms, followed by a delicious pasta special - Tagliatelli with shrimps and prawns. It was delicious. The tiramasu was a nice way to finish the meal.
Plenty of things have already been said but what might not have been is the gym is small but very well packed with equipment. Also the spa is amazing, definitely check it out.
Such a beautiful, luxurious hotel. We always have the loveliest time when we visit.
Nice venue, very grand. The food was good and the facilities were clean and in good order. The only downside was that the meeting room was too hot and stuffy.
Had a small room looking on the roof. Otherwise grand and a lot of history.
Food and staff were very good. Lobby area very nicely presented. However, corridors leading to rooms were a tad shabby as well as the room itself. Just general wear and tear. Can't complain about the bed / cleanliness of the room and they give you six of those little pots of milk which is great when you like a lot of tea!
Fantastic hotel, in a great location, with one of the best breakfasts i ever had.
Rooms are so spacious.
Can't wait to have a reason to go back!
Had a work function in one of the larger suites, food and service were great
The location is in the centre of Manchester and is east to get to via the various transport links I.e. tram, bus. The event was held in a large room and the service was good. However a couple of members of staff were rude.
Been there for a wedding do and everything was great.
Rooms are slightly tired but the hotel looks impressive in the spa and public facilities
Absolutely lovely afternoon spent in the T room at the Midland. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food was plentiful, varied and delicious. They went out of their way to cater for someone with allergies. Leanne was an excellent waitress.
Some food is nice, some not so much. Tea room I too small, very crowded! Needs expansion or fewer tables.
A friend and I popped in for a coffee today and were served by the delightful Paul Pinner. He was so friendly, he gave us a short history of the building and was utterly charming. I can't praise him enough for making our short visit so entertaining.
Great location, excellent food. Fantastic venue for a wedding.
Beautiful hotel.. very clean very tidy amazing experience
A very grand hotel and a beautiful building but it's a little frayed around the edges.
Appalling service in Mr Coopers Restaurant. My friends and I were treated dreadfully.
Went to Mr Cooper's bar on NYE for cocktails. All the staff were super friendly, great atmosphere, and the drinks were amazing. Would definitely recommend!
I went to the restaurant but the hotel but the food there was of really great quality. The meat is cooked to perfection and partnered with the perfect veg and sides and dessert is a delight.
Stayed in December and left an expensive watch in bedroom. (We dont live local so can not call back in) have been calling since December and can never get through on phone. they simply dont answer. On few occasions you do get through are promised a call back but have never received it. Guessing after 3 months the staff have kept the watch for themselves. Terrible customer service. If your planning an event or special occasion here I would not bother as you will be fending for yourselves unless you can actually turn up in person each time you have a query.
A welcoming environment with staff who are willing to help if needed. The lounge bar area offers a nice selection of beverages and food options, with and extremely high class service.
attended a wedding here and had a room booked. I fail to see what all the fuss is about. The wedding and food were lovely, however the room was dated and in a bad state of repair and very over priced.
Beautiful building excellent staff. Look out for discounts to make your stay even more affordable
A lovely hotel, fantastic building.
Friendly hotel staff.
We had the afternoon tee at the midland hotel. Nice atmosphere, great scones and jams. We didn t manage to finish all the sweets, too full after the excellent scones
Fantastic historic hotel opposite Manchester Central. Ideal location as a base for exploring Manchester. 10 min walk from Deansgate station and plenty of pubs and places to eat nearby. Also short distance from Albert Square. It's also the place Mr Rolls & Mr Royce met and the Rolls Royce Phantom was born.
The Service and Quality of the Drinks from the Cocktail Bar at The Midland Hotel is exceptional
Huge hotel, our room was plentiful with two king size beds but in reality felt like two doubles. There's no mini bar here as they've stopped but room service for drinks and food is available. The spa and pool is lovely albeit the pool is on the small side. Treatments work like clockwork. Robes and slippers available if you ring down to concierge. Our room wasn't available when we checked in so was offered two complimentary drinks from the bar. Really busy hotel but it doesn't feel over crowded.
Great service. Nice staff. Very helpful and was very nicely decorated for our event
Great pre theatre meal. Beautiful surroundings. Great staff and lovely food well presented. Highly recommend.
We were here for afternoon tea for our friends wedding anniversary.
Little bit slow getting to our table, but staff are super friendly and very professional. The tea room is a lovely setting for afternoon tea, nicely decorated and very relaxing environment.
The food was lovely and very well presented with plenty of options.
Choice of teas and coffee to go with the meal and also a champagne option which we opted for, topped the afternoon off, will definitely go again.
Lovely accommodation ideally located in the centre of Manchester. I had a two night stay for business in January 2020. The rooms was clean and very spacious with all the amenities I required. Food was lovely.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. A great nothing is too much attitude. I will definitely return.
Beautiful hotel. Loved the reception areas and the relief roses on the ceiling in the Conference rooms.
Unbeatable location. Beautiful historic hotel which has been tastefully restored. Casual or upmarket dining options. Great breakfast. But the best part was the cheerful, helpful and genuine welcome from Gabriella at check-in. Greatly appreciated and disappointingly rare these days
