Morgan Pavement does quality work. We have been so happy with our driveway. They are great to work with and took awesome care of us! Would highly recommend them for all your asphalt needs!

Morgan Pavement is a great place to start or further your career in the construction field. I have been in the industry for 15 years and came to Morgan Pavement 2 years ago. Personally I have never worked for a company that cared for their employees as much as Morgan Pavement does.

The management of Ridgewood Estates Mobile Home Community in Layton contracted with these guys to redo our roads. Residents were excited, but that has since worn off. I'm not sure if they are aware but there is a lack of communication and respect from management to residents. Somehow this crew thinks the can treat us the same. Not putting up road closed signs? That's pretty tacky. Leaving holes in the roads without cones around them, tacky. Pushing dirt up against driveways so cars get stuck? C'mon guys, the manager may be nice to you, and tell you that we know what's going on, but we are in the dark, and it's making your company look bad. Residents weren't even told we couldn't park in overflow parking when the work started and cars were towed without notice. (not your fault, but you should be aware of the lack of communication and not rely on the manager to communicate to us) Don't get me started on the neighbors who have complained of damage. Show us some respect.

Morgan Pavement did an excellent job with our street in a family subdivision. Great company to work with from top to bottom. Very professional and get the jobs done right, look no further than Morgan Pavement!

The crew is in my mobile home community replacing our streets. It is some thing we sorely need. A piece of their equipment damaged some of my property, and the same day I notified them they got back to me and have made arrangements to fix it. I appreciate the professionalism they showed, and I m looking forward to our new streets. Extra bonus they are moving quick!

Contracted by Sandy City to repave my already perfectly fine neighborhood road. Completely destroyed the look and quality, no clean up and essentially left it as a gravel road. It has since been chipping up the paint on everyone's cars and posing a traction safety hazard, especially for motorcycles who frequently come down this street.

"Morgan Pavement is the worst in full service asphalt paving and maintenance. With supposedly over thirty years of experience you would think we knew a thing or two about new asphalt paving, repair, maintenance and pavement marking." - Morgan Pavement (if they were honest.

This company was hired by my HOA. They drove one of their resurfacing machines across my lawn, leaving deep tire tracks and a nice big puddle of tar in the middle of it. On top of that, they left tar tire tracks across my concrete driveway. The company has completely ignored repeated attempts to get them to pressure wash the driveway.

Hire Morgan Pavement only if you don't care about the rest of your property.

Excellent customer service. The driveway looks great. Joel was very helpful from start to finish. For what it s worth we have a good friend in the construction industry (sells equipment) and he told us he would go with Morgan Asphalt over some of the other big competitors any day of the week. So we did and they did a great job.

They knocked down half a tree in front of our home while they were repaving the street and promised to take care of it once they were done with the job to another resident. It's been several days since they finished, and we called to ask when they will pick up the tree. They said they didn't have anyone in the area and told me to call the city to deal with the tree THEY knocked down. Definitely awful accountability on their part.

EDIT: I called the city, but after three phone calls I hit a dead end. I called Morgan Pavement again and was forwarded to their supervisor who was kind and helpful on the phone. She said they would send someone out later today, so I hope that happens.
The one thing that did bother me was that she tried to say it wasn't her employees' fault and that it was the weather - which has been perfect for the last week, so it definitely was the employees. (The branches were covered in tar and they left tar covered leaves everywhere!) I definitely need companies to be honest and take accountability for what they do, so I am happy they are sending someone out.
They sent someone out to take care of it - but the core of the tree is exposed so it will probably die!

After leaving a review about our terrible road paving, their response was basically, we don t see your name as a customer, so why do you think you have a right to leave a bad review, as if the only people that can leave a review are the direct person who signed the check. But I live in an HOA that hired them for this project and I pay HOA dues every month, which pays for this project, so even if I didn t write the check to you directly, I AM YOUR CUSTOMER. As is everyone else along the two segments of street you did a terrible job paving. I ve noticed every response to a negative review of your work is similar. You are not a company who believes in self-reliance and accountability. You are a company of defensive people who are entitled and think you show up, do the job, no matter how poor the job is, get it done as cheaply as possible to keep profit margins as high as possible so you don t have to repay your crews to redo the work ...but instead, stop being defensive about poor reviews, LEARN FROM THEM. Even bad reviews can make you a better company. My guess is that the owners of Morgan Pavement are very cheap people. Thinking they can get rich doing poor work and poor service. Our new road is WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE YOU DID ANYTHING. It was not a bad road. There were no potholes. I actually don t think it even needed to be redone at all and now the road is like a lumpy, bumpy dirt road that is hardened, now permanent lumps. So we went from a smooth road before to a bumpy, jittery road and all we had to do to get that UN-improvement was to pay you a bunch of money? Give us our old, but smooth road back ...or come back and make it smooth. YOU OWE ALL THE RESIDENTS ALONG JORDAN OAKS COURT and JORDAN OAKS DRIVE a better road or come back and scrape off all the lumps and divots and washboard surface and restore our old smooth road ...or do it over and make it SMOOTH like a new road is supposed to be. Slackers. Poor service. You guys need your license to pave roads revoked. Learn from your mistakes (and apparently you have made a lot of them) and IMPROVE your company. LISTEN to the residents that are affected by your poor work and don t think of them as your enemy and accuse them of not being a customer even though ALL the people that live along the roads you do ARE YOUR CUSTOMERS. Either through tax dollars, or HOA fees, WE pay you. Our HOAs just sign the checks our money enables them to pay you with. We are your customers. All of us. ...guys, just be better. Stop trying to get rich not caring about your quality of work and service. Just do it right from day one so you don t have to redo things and get bad reviews. Don t try to do it as cheaply as you can, cutting corners. Just be professional. It s like the owners are entitled high school kids who want to be rich when they grow up without actually working hard or learning from their mistakes or admitting when they are wrong and have done a bad job. You have no accountability. Get it done right and I will be the first to not only remove this review, but change it to five stars if you earn it. DO NOT KEEP TELLING RESIDENTS THEY ARE NOT YOUR CUSTOMERS BECAUSE THEY DIDN T WRITE YOU THE PERSONAL CHECK, because we ARE your customers.

I have been using Morgan Pavement for many years. I feel their knowledge for the industry is very helpful. They leave the job site cleaned up and go above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly. I have no problem recommending them for any project large or small

my brother cousin and uncle all worked there which is how I met my now-husband of 17years. And when my cousin passed they were so amazing in helping in any way that they could just a great group of hard-working people!

First of all don't leave a note on my door 2 days before you do road work and threaten to tow my car if its not moved for something that has probably been on your calendar for months I don't think one weeks notice is to much to ask. Second South salt lake along millcreeke every house has a sump pump and 75% feed into the gutter so your seal is history. I seriously think you should get the city to show you how to write a professional notice. BTW can you leave a foreman to supervise the addicts you hire that would be great.

Amen to Annie Laughlin!

Amen to Annie Laughlin!

I called about the same tree branch she talked about directly after their service, and they said they would take care of it. Then, two days later, they still hadn't so I called them again.

They tried to say it was the weather that knocked down the branch. I tried to explain that it was a very big branch, that was in the road, that was torn in the direction of traffic, that was also covered in fresh tar, and she said the crew said it was the wind. The branch hadn't been down before they came, but it was afterward. It wasn't the weather. And it's a big enough branch that our tree will probably die now.

Either way, by the end of our phone call, she said she would bug the crew again about it, and see if they would get the branch, and then let me know. The next day the branch was still there... (See Annie Laughlin's post for the resolution to this story.)

Side note. They also didn't notify our residents before doing their work. They were in an uproar on our HOA facebook page. I don't park on that road, so it didn't effect me directly. But many got towed without warning.

I work with professionals a lot, and I am used to working with people who own up to their mistakes, so this was a very disappointing experience for me. I will do my best not to work with them again.

I watched a female driver from your company headed north on

They're doing a pavement sealing on my street in Salt Lake tomorrow morning. They notified the residents on my street the evening before that all cars have to be moved by tomorrow morning at 7am or they'll be towed away. Are you kidding me? What if i were out of town? What if i somehow didn't get the memo? I understand that city streets are not our property but a little notice would be nice. Perhaps at least a couple of weeks for people to make necessary arrangements. Terrible way to do business. This is unacceptable and frankly pathetic. I'm going to the city about it with several of my neighbors.

Had our driveway done two years ago. They had to come out and try to redo it the following summer because it was flaking off. Here we are two summers after the initial resurfacing and both layers are totally gone. The asphalt flakes literally blow off in huge chunks with the use of our leaf blower.

Unprofessional and apparently above the law since they chose to wake up the neighborhood at 7:13 am on a Saturday by grinding pavement 5 steps away from the noise ordinance sign!!!
Then the office isnt even open and the executives who's numbers are in the webiste dont answer because they are sound asleep while their crews wake up an entire neighborhood including a 4 year old who's window they were 1/2 a foot away from.

Unprofessional. Left garbage in the parking lot. Had to call them to come back and clean up after both their sloppy work and their uncaring workers. Edit: 7/6/19 TCSD-Blue Peak Highschool. You probably cant find the details because it was over a year ago. Why would it matter now anyway? Are you going to come make things better after all this time?

Rude and unprofessional, don't know why the city would ever use this company. The driver of the paving truck decided when they were leaving to stray down (douse!) my car, which was parked on another street as instructed, with the hard water they were use on the road. This was witnessed by neighbors. It left hard water marks all over my car. My husband called the company and the supervisor was rude and refused to take any action. I called the company and was told the G.M. would call me back. He didn't. When I called again I was told to call Sandy City Public works. Obviously they didn't care. Finally I spoke with Dave Marble at Sandy City and he is going to speak with them. The company could have avoided the whole problem with a simple apology from the worker who did it.

If you need Paving done, this is your team. Anything dealing with asphalt repair, laying down new, or refreshing what's available, these guys can handle it. They are the most professional Road contractors that I know! If you need work I recommended strongly!

Not impressed at all with these guys. Its been 3 days since my call to request someone to come out and give me a bid for a very large job. No estimator has even called me back to set up a time.I would hate to see how they would treat you if you were asking them to come out to give a bid for a small job. Will never use these guys.

Layton city hired Morgan Pavement to redo our roads. They did leave notices on our doors about clearing the road for the next day. They showed up late the next day at 3:30pm and had our road microsealed by 4:30pm. Maybe the ran behind on another project and that's why they showed up towards the end of the day. It took them one hour to micro seal the road and the quality of work shows. It's terrible and I hope that Layton city doesn't hire them again. I am not a customer of Morgan Pavement, and with this type of work, I wouldn't hire them. Concerns with the city have been expressed regarding the workmanship. our street looked better before the microseal took place. Try driving on an uneven road. The quality is terrible. I can go on and on, but I'd be wasting space on this review.

Do you see a trend here??? This company is HORRIBLE!!! Full of excuses amongst other things. The workers are inconsiderate grunts that know nothing let by excuse ridden know it alls that truly know nothing besides how to make excuses. They don't put up notices like they should. They're slow and their work is questionable depending on which crew is doing it. Shame on Layton City for contracting them. Their prices might be decent but you get what you pay for.

I have not had service from these guys. Nor would I. They parked there water truck pretty to the corner of an intersection. I approach one the employees and was ignored asking for them to back it up. It was impossible to make a left hand turn because of it.
