Super cool environment and the staff was so friendly! Amazing food!

tasty food with great servers that have a great attitude all combined in a turn of the century home that has been converted into a restaurant bar. Great place to hang out and soak up the Austin vibe.

Food itself was DELICIOUS, would be even better on the gluten free options if they had a dedicated fryer and some GF bread products. Had the steak and eggs special and ate every bite. Food had tons of flavor and steak was very good quality. Lots of covered outdoor seating and good ambiance. Great option right near the convention center.

SO GOOD. The moonshine was SO GOOD. The service was amazing and our waiter had us cracking up all night. Food was delicious. I would definitely return and recommend this place.

Amazing atmosphere, awesome food. Locally made sodas, too. Really liked the doppelganger soda (Dr. Pepper alternative). Split the chicken and waffles and an order of sweet potato fries with my wife, which was plenty to eat between the two of us.

I was pleasantly surprised by the popcorn appetizer upon seating. Staff are great and the food was fantastic!

This is the kind of place that you can easily visit on back to back days. A fun little restaurant with some great food options and very friendly service. The Sunday brunch buffet is amazing. Coffee is great. Fried chicken and gravy... Grits... French toast. Just go and eat.

They have valet (not free) and there is a pay for park place right next to it It's popular, so there is usually a bit of a wait. Staff is friendly and attentive. They have a wide range of drinks. Food is pretty good. Big portions, meals could be comfortably split.

Not sure what all the hype is about with this place - the back party room is cute - good for small events.

Absolutely amazing place! The cornflake fried chicken salad was perfection! The chicken was juicy, flavorful with the right amount of crunchiness and the salad/dressing combo took it to an even higher level. Will definitely be back! Long wait in the evening but you can order drinks and appetizers while you wait. The atmosphere is perfect for those looking for that genuine Austin experience.

Such a great place for a fabulous meal in Austin. There are so many yummy dishes, it's hard to pick. I could eat here every day!! And, a delish slice of peanut butter cheesecake for my daughter for her birthday. What a great way to end a spectacular meal. Thanks, Cody, for making this birthday meal so special.

Food was good, setup was a little odd, sat outside under this tent thing.

Great dining experience. Good service by everyone on the staff. Fried catfish entree was well cooked and tasty. Chicken fried steak was huge and delicious. Bread pudding dessert was the perfect end to a great meal.

I love Moonshine, but it's not always consistent. The first time I went for my birthday was AMAZING, but the next time I went it was just okay. The atmosphere is nice. I would definitely recommend this place even though its a little overpriced for what it is.

Great staff, bar tender girls were the best! Professional & know about customer service. Had a great Moscow mule & margarita with delicious hangar steak with cheesy grits then bread pudding for desert- all of it, to die for. I was there for a business trip from San Diego & this highly rated restaurant from Yelp, did not disappoint.

Very popular place, where it can get kind of loud. Food is good. I would suggest trying to call in a reservation to avoid the wait.

One hour wait. Didn't cook the pork chop correctly so replaces it with skirt steak which was delicious. Service was excellent. All and all, provably probably wouldn't go back.

Service and food A++. Had the chicken and waffles and was nothing short of impressed. Taking a classic and putting a unique spin on it in the best way. Servers were all super kind and helpful. A must go in Austin.

They had an awesome rib special when I went. Of course, I wasn't disappointed because, ribs! My wife had fish which was good, but not great. Also, there was a warm cheese spinach dip with bread that was very good.

I had a small wedding and afterwards had a dinner with 20 people at Moonshine Bar & Grill in their private dining area called the Sunday House. It was absolutely perfect ! First of all, they were so easy to work with and communicate with prior to the event. They just made it so easy and were always available to answer my questions. The day of, the service was AMAZING! We had 2 dedicated waiters that were on top of everything. They let us bring in our own music and cake and even provided a screen for a wedding video. Of course, the food and drink there is amazing. They have a nice wine selection and lots of interesting cocktails. There is something on the menu for everyone. Both my red meat loving relatives along with the vegans found good selections. I truly couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience, and it was by far the easiest and most effortless part of my day. Thank you Moonshine for helping us make beautiful memories!

Amazingly delicious! The great evening started with the fresh popcorn - lightly salted and buttered and a refreshing margarita. Next I had an appetizer of corn dog shrimp and had no idea you could do this; it was fun to eat and yummie. I was feeling adventurous with the happy hour specials and also ordered the kale dip and at this point needed a couple more bodies to help consume this mound of cheese and kale. I blasphemously left half on the table but when the Frisbee size chicken fried steak and side of mixed vegetables arrived I had no choice. The chicken by itself would have filled me but I already had 2 appetizers in me and I wanted to save room for the chocolate cake.
I had to ration at this point what I ate to try and keep room for chocolate cake.
I failed but still ordered the chocolate cake which again could feed 4. Unfortunately it was a german chocolate and the coconut shavings really throw a wrench into enjoying the chocolate.
I would definitely come here again and for the price bring a couple of friends to taste more of the menu.

I would have posted a picture of the pork 3 way sandwich but was overwhelmed with the savory awesomeness. Sat in the carriage house and talked whiskey with the bartender. Great experience.

For any vegetarian friends out there, I have been a vegetarian for 9 years and never had a meal as great as here. My boyfriend is a carnivore and we both could eat here no problem. The black eyed pea croquette is to die for and the service was great!

This place is amazing ! Food was delicious, drinks were great, and last but not least our server Adam was awesome!. He had some great recommendations and they were all very tasty. They even had a kids menu which for us is a plus! Thanks again Adam for being so nice and helpful . We will definitely be back..

Great patio place with very well-made eats and superb drinks from the bar. Chicken and waffles were delicious and that chipotle cream gravy was perfect to dip into. Didn't get to try the moonshine, but is on my list for next time.

There is usually a long line and the brunch is not that great. I dont know why ppl wait that long. Plus, there is no parking.

I wanted a southern food experience and moonshine certainly came to the party. Chicken and waffles (maple syrup included), grits and shrimp, corn bread and stuffed trout were all menu items our party sampled. All were deliciously artery blocking. Completely worth it! Cocktails were a little disappointing, was hoping for drinks made with the same finesse as the food, sadly this wasn't the case.

I ordered the chicken and waffles platter. The chicken was very tender and the waffles were delicious!

This place is awesome on Sunday brunch, if you like brunches and you haven't been to Moonshine, you have to go, such an awesome breakfast spot

The turkey melt was fantastic - this was a great find and they were very hospitable despite our late night arrival.

Long waits but worth it. Just head into the bar for a Bourbon while you wait.
