It is one of the biggest selection of fabrics i ever saw. You can find there basically everything. My feeling is that they are really great for designers and high end fabrics, beautiful selection and reasonable price. For like basics, like cotton shirting, poplins, basic jerseys i find them a bit overpriced But their web site i find really bad. Customer service is not great, shipping costs, generak policy etc

This is THE most amazing fabric resource in the world! Calling it a "store" doesn't do it justice. There are locations in LA and NYC, and they have a lovely online collection as well. One can always count on the quality of the fabric and the in store assistance is unsurpassed. Yep I'm a fan. I send all my brides here, and I choose fabric here for myself. Plus... there's Swatch and Sam. Go meet them and get in the Mood.

Worth a visit if for nothing other than sheer selection and reputation. Three floors of fabrics, trims, leather and other sewing notions Mood is a rabbit warren of floor-to-ceiling bolts of fabrics across the apparel spectrum. Staff is very helpful and generous with swatching, but you may have to be a little aggressive getting someone's attention because this place gets busy. If you're seeking sheer selection, this is the place to go, but look at some of the nearby smaller shops if you want a good deal, Mood isn't cheap.

I Learned how to make my first tote bag here. Free classes BUT you must pay for the items that you need to make a tote bag, which is truly an investment for your future designs. This place has so many beautiful fabrics and tools to choose from, it's a fashion designers dream. Only downer is that they are pretty expensive expect to pay a large buck but for great quality .

If you sew or have a dressmaker - What type or color of fabric do you need? Mood Fabrics has it! Plus great selection of buttons, trim, fur pieces, real or faux. The most helpful staff. I have spent hours here, ogling the amazing selection. And I have never come away empty-handed. Mood also offers sewing classes for all levels of expertise and interest.

Mood Fabrics is excellent for a plethora of sewing needs. While their trim department is small compared to the rest of the facility, it is still adequate and has a decent selection. The floor on which you enter has several sections including silks, jaquards, brocades and chiffon . The floor below stores a wide selection of leather and firs as well as an impressive collection of shirtings from patterned to printed to solid. This is also where their sewing school is located. Finally, the top floor houses, among others, their suiting department. This department warrents special mention as to the right of the stairs is an incredible section of designer suiting. This includes fabrics from brands like Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein to prestigious Italian imports . Prices in this department range from $20/yard to well over $150/yard as many would be nearly impossible to find elsewhere. While they are certainly more expensive than Joanns, the quality shows and if you are in need of a speciality fabric, Mood almost certainly has it.

Unmatched selection of fabrics but a bit expensive because, frankly, people will pay and it's pretty much the only fabric store in NYC with such an extensive selection. The classes here are a good value, though, and the staff is pleasant.

Even though their store was very big and they had a wide variety of fabrics I absolutely despised their customer service. One time I came with my daughter to look for lace, so I asked one of the employees to help me look for it since the store was pretty big. But the employee said, go look for it yourself . I m never going back here again. I would recommend fabric house or chic fabrics.

The Mood Home fabrics customer service is disgusting. They need to do better! the lady running the floor white girl short/long hair cut was "to busy" to help me. She should be fired. The guy running rugister looked as if he was out to lunch mentally. All in all I hated my services. My team and I always run to Mood but my experience Mood Home today changed.

This place was super cool! I've been interested in starting my clothing brand, and just seeing all of the different types of fabrics was already getting me pumped. I can definitely understand people getting overwhelmed, but I honestly though everything was well organized by type of fabric.

Took my girls there as they are huge fans of Project Runway. Was fun to see all the fabrics and Swatch, of course. Staff was friendly and helpful. Areas were small but wide enough to browse an pull off shelves. Even A few work tables/areas near natural light. A little hard to find, but fun to ride the old elevator - with a "real" elevator man - up . (Not able to review as a fabric store since this was my first fabric store visit ever.)

I am giving 5 stars as I am huge fan of Project Runway, but I was so disappointed to turn up and there is Mood Homes on the ground floor and there was a sign saying Mood material is on another floor inside a building and the door was locked to get in. A real shame not to get to see it while visiting NY.

I went into Mood Fabrics for the first time on a quest to help my daughter who is taking a summer course. The staff at Mood are among the most helpful and knowledgable people that I have ever encountered. There are three floors of beautiful fabrics, buttons and trim that will satisfy even tthe most discriminating designer. I had so much fun trying to match swatches and the staff were delightful. I cant wait to go back there to look around again. Thanks again to you all for a fantastic experience.

Was super crowded, but was in and out in under an hour. Even got a reward card... whoop whoop. They have a little bit of everything on 2 floors. Definitely a one stop shop for all your needs for many crafting projects in general.

Excellent customer service, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they have EVERYTHING. Sometimes gets crazy crowded because of the tourists, but they do their best to keep the lines moving and have space in the aisles to move. I come here over the larger chain hardware stores.
