It's seriously impossible to find a staff member to help you, even when it's not busy. Also, they have a very poor selection of stretch nylon fabrics. It's also RIDICULOUS that you have to check your bags at the front. What a joke! Not even the expensive designer stores have you do that.

Really amazing destination for fabric, embellishments, and all things for sewing. Staff was everywhere and everyone was eager to help. You can spend hours here exploring all the amazing fabrics they carry.

I went to Mood to find fabric to put sleeves on a sleeveless dress- no simple task! I worked with Jorge Koubbe and he was EXCELLENT. He helped me find the perfect fabric in the perfect shade. He even helped me design the exact style of the sleeve. He really went above and beyond! I loved working with Jorge and I love coming to Mood!

OMG. I die and go to heaven every time I go there! I need a separate suitcase just for fabrics. My bank balance decreases but its worth it. So much to choose from.
Designer fabrics at reasonable prices. Staff are great and extremely helpful, considering the number of customers floating around at any given time.

Everyone who works here is so incredibly rude!!!! They act like it is a huge inconvenience to them if you ask them any sort of question or where anything is. I thought the first time it happened that maybe a few people were just having a bad day. But each time I have been back it has been the same experience. The only employee who is nice is the woman who checks your bags at the door.

I take a few classes here. Sewing and Draping. The also offer fashion illustration and whatnot. I really love both the classes I take. The teachers have character and the tasks give you a feeling of empowerment.

I only come to this store out of necessity, because they have the widest selection in the fabric district. I think the store is a disorganized mess and the staff is too busy to help you. They will, if pressed, but they don't really want to and that's a pain when you need quite a few samples or whatever. However it's cheaper than B&J (which is heaven because it's organized and everything is labeled). And they are a bit rude. They're busy and it's NY, so you get what you get.

Mood fabrics is a store that offers high end fabrics and that they do!! There are many great products available. There is three stories and every square foot is stuffed with the finest fabrics. They also have buttons, a personal favorite. Their button selection is big, not huge, but big enough. There are some really unique ones. All in all if you're in Manhattan and like crafts this is a must go to.

I always have such an amazing time when I come to Mood Fabrics! Being a designer, it is so awesome to see all the fabrics to choose from and how you are constantly surrounded by creative minds. The garment district is one of my absolute favourites! Prices are high so prepare to spend some money, but the whole Mood experience is worth it
