This was my first real hotel stay since Covid-19 s...

This was my first real hotel stay since Covid-19 shut things down. I came in with low expectations and was pleasantly SURPRISED! This place is not only beautiful inside and out, but offers additional services like poolside service and loaner Cadillacs! The staff was AMAZING! (with one exception) Everyone went above and beyond to make sure my stay was PERFECT! I wanted to highlight some of those whos attentiveness and attention to detail went ABOVE & BEYOND! Monica and Deja from Front Desk/Guest Services were an absolute godsend and really were the ones who orchestrated the whole experience, THANK YOU! Expect to be greeted by THE BEST Valet guys you'll ever meet, Chad and Cord. And a BIG THANK YOU to Jen from Housekeeping, whom kept the room clean as a whistle and made sure we had ample complimentary chocolates to indulge ourselves on while we were on our stay! A side note of negative, I did want to mention: when i had purchased two old fashions at the hotel bar, I was told AFTER the fact, that the 2 drinks (old fashions) came out to $184.88 (tip not included)! I was in such shock and too embarrassed to make a fuss in front of my friend, that I just paid it. On a MUCH brighter note Overall, if you haven't experienced life changing service, get yourself to The Montage Deer Valley, you WONT regret it!

From start to finish we had the best experience here! The Montage Deer Valley s staff created a (covid-safe) wonderful environment where our expectations were not just met but anticipated.
What started as impromptu stop on our roadtrip ended up being the highlight of our entire trip and I already want to go back!
The property is breathtaking and has so much to offer even during covid and because of the staff s attention to detail and housekeeping s attention to cleanliness we felt very safe during our stay.
We were welcomed by a big smile (Deja) who personally escorted us to our suite (mask on and appropriately distanced from us) and gave us all the tidbits that made our stay more comfortable and relaxing. When reserving our room I mentioned I'm a big coffee drinker so they left a coffee pot in my room and brought me up fresh cream and kept my coffee supply replenished.

We were able to take advantage of all the hotel had to offer hiking/biking, tetherball, pool, jacuzzi, games, s mores!!!! by the fire!, chocolate melt in your mouth bonbons, and so much more. While doing all of that the staff in every department were so attentive, safely distanced and made us so comfortable by being actually present and aware of our needs. For example the morning pool service gentleman not only brought us our yummy drinks and delicious meal, he also shared some good insight on the local must see places and then wrote down the places I was questioning him about.

We were even able to borrow a gorgeous Cadillac to explore the surrounding city and were greeted and assisted by Chad and Cord (great guys) who both made it easy for us to go and come. I appreciated the extra attention like when I was eating s mores (oh happy day) by the fire and a lovely woman brought me a warm blanket because she noticed I was shivering.

Unfortunately I left behind all of the boxes of yummy bonbons I purchased for gifts including my favorite Veuve Clicquot flavored ones! I called to rescue my bonbons and it was too late but Ryan the director was so gracious that he replaced and shipped them to my home! Great service!!! So when you do stay here don t forget your bonbons when you leave! Much gratitude to all the staff that made my stay here unforgettable.

My family and I visited the montage deer valley re...

My family and I visited the montage deer valley resort recently and we re blown away by the excellent customer service, professionalism from every employee we encountered. Deja went above and beyond to make us feel at home, with a personal tour of the entire facility and reminders of fun activities to participate in with our kids (s mores night and indoor swimming), that the kids loved. The bowling manager Kyle, was an excellent host, making sure we had what we needed, drinks, snacks, it was a blast! Our bellman Curtis was excellent, very courteous and thoughtful. I enjoyed a facial and the spa services were excellent! We are very much looking forward to a stay in the winter and enjoying a home away from home.

Honestly, on our first trip to stay at the Montage...

Honestly, on our first trip to stay at the Montage we were INCREDIBLY impressed by the service we received from Ivan, and Stephen and others, the food was incredible, and when we left we definitely wanted to go back. We went back a couple weeks later to have dinner at The Apex and to bring some colleagues to experience what we had loved weeks prior. From the moment we pulled up it was an entirely different experience, in an unfortunately negative way. Timothy was our first greeting and he was very rude and while we were entering the building he threatened to have us removed from the building, and proceeded to follow us down the hallway. This changed the mood of our evening. We were then turned away from the restaurant 2 times (when we were 5 minutes early to our reservation, and when we came back at the time of our reservation) because without informing us beforehand they changed what time the restaurant was opening. We only made the reservation the night before and it would have been nice to receive an email updating us on that change and the fact that they were changing the me menu/separating the restaurants.

All in all, we were super impressed with selective people but at this point we will not be likely to return because the second experience was unfortunate for both us and our colleagues.

Not enough can be said about how amazing the staff...

Not enough can be said about how amazing the staff is in this resort, everyone is friendly and greets you every single time, extremely helpful , always ready to answer any questions or be of service. The grounds are spectacular. The rooms are big, everywhere was spotless and super clean . Food was amazing . Great pools and excellent spa service . 5/5 all around!!

My wife and I have had the opportunity to stay her...

My wife and I have had the opportunity to stay here a few times. There is no question that the location, building, and some of the amenities are incredible! That being said the service is less than to be desired. The key to creating lasting clients is not just meet expectations, but exceeding them. However, I have received much kinder, more prompt, and way better service at the $100 a night hotels than I have ever received here.

Operational deficiencies fall well short of a five...

Operational deficiencies fall well short of a five-star experience, with poor execution and underwhelming resolution.
-The initial booking (via phone) they couldn't take the credit card due to system issues
-Received five calls tied to confirmation and getting the credit card (which they didn't write down right) the day prior
-They couldn't find my reservation when I arrived (despite the multiple confirmation calls), and changed the spa time from 3pm to 2:45pm
-Lunch took an hour to be delivered, and they required a separate credit card from the spa because their systems don't communicate
-The attendants came to find me at 2:30 pm for my appt, having changed the time again without communicating
-Actual massage was different than scheduled, and not sufficient quality to stay for the duration
-The manager did apologize in person, but the staff on checkout noted the manager wanted to follow up and took contact info, but I have yet to hear back
-Facilities also fell short of expectations, with other local spas offering far superior amenities

I was blown away by the beauty and service at the Montage Deer Valley. Specifically, I was impressed by the attentiveness from Miss Deja Linares who made me feel as if I was given a personal concierge during my stay to make the most of my time on property and also provided incredible off property recommendations for local activities and dining. By far one of the best getaways and resorts I have ever experienced thanks to Deja!

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Jordan was my technician and was AMAZING. I had a hydro facial and loved my skin after. SO WORTH IT. Love the resort and spa. You won t be disappointed.

Montage as a brand is fantastic (I have visited a ...

Montage as a brand is fantastic (I have visited a few of their properties) but because of Ms. Deja Linares, the Deer Valley location is exceptional. Within minutes of arrival, her smiling face defined my experience. Not only did Ms. Linares walk me through the property as if she was my personal concierge, she offered stellar recommendations for both Montage and Deer Valley. As a physician, when I am able to take time off every moment must count and because of Ms. Linares, it did. Cheers to being outstanding and excellent, Ms. Deja Linares- you are simply the best! Thank you for your warmth, kindness and contagious smile!

The facilities are beautiful and well cared for. They're set right into the mountain and look down into the valley. It's stunning! I can't recommend their services enough. I had an hour massage, and my therapist was kind and took great care to give me a personalized experience. I can't wait to return!

Great steamroon and sauna. The indoor pool is beautiful with great views. They do not have a cold plunge pool, just a freezing shower. A cold shower is a not a substitute for a cold plunge pool and they should not advertise it as such

Got the day pass. Was $25 more than last time, was not worth it. Mold growing in jacuzzi, steam machine was so loud you couldnt relax, lunch was mediocre, pool attendant got my lunch order wrong. When we left the front desk attendant looked over us and helped someone behind us. How rude. Next year we will go to Stein Eriksen.

We used to stay at the Montage on special occasion...

We used to stay at the Montage on special occasions, but my experiences at the spa (alone and with groups) in the last two years have sent me to the Stein Erikson Lodge, which is more customer-friendly with better food. The spa facility is beautiful, but if you get hungry while there (and you will!), don't expect a meal. While the spa offers an enticing lunch menu, by the time it's delivered to you, two hours too late, cold, and wrong, it does not remotely resemble the menu. Even if you figure this out and place an order when you arrive at the spa, it won't happen. Whatever time you expect to eat, plan for a two-hour delay and multiple server trips between spa and restaurant (on opposite sides of the building). If you are with a group, the mistakes will be on an epic scale and not one order will be correctly executed. If you mention you might like some ketchup with those lukewarm fries, you're looking at another 30 minutes or never. For these reasons, I'm out.

Overall the spa was great. There was one big issue but with everything else I'm giving 4 stars. There are separate gender hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas; all are pleasant. Summer is pretty quiet but I imagine winter gets more crowded. The fitness facility is great. The deluge shower was a bit of a disappointment- gentle rain shower would be more apt. We had great massages and in early afternoon the indoor pool was nice and quiet. The outside sitting area is a bit small but was still good. Now- the bad. Upon walking out of the treatment room I heard screeching children. The pool area, from 4-6 pm is "family hour" and there were quite a few kids playing marco polo as loud as they possibly could. If you read the rules online it says no children under 16 allowed so I don't know why they let them in for that time period. If everything else hadn't been a peaceful and relaxing spa experience I'd be rating it much lower. It would have been nice to spend time with my partner but instead we had to retreat to our separate lounges.

Amazing property with top-drawer service. Rooms are beautiful and the views are stunning!
There are several lovely sitting areas inside the resort and several more outside. Restaurants have pleasant staff & the food is delicious. Coffee shop/pastry shop near the lobby has excellent selection. 8 pm every night - S'mores & hot chocolate out by the pool. Amazing game room & with a variety of video games etc with additional bowling alley. Impeccable service, by far the best resort in Deer Valley. Treat yourself to a stay at the Montage. You will love it!
