A beautiful museum with a piece of Danish history about how it has been to be in prison during the time in the state prison in Horsens. There are many things on display and described in a live way on site. Both children and adults get a nice experience of how it has been to be imprisoned and also how it has been to be employed on the spot. Good parking facilities and excellent cafeteria where you can buy a little food and drink. The visit can easily take a few hours and there are a number of stairs. There is also lift for any. deaf. Children up to the age of 18 have free entrance.

Interesting and lovingly furnished exhibition that also leads through all eras with many contemporary witnesses. The exhibition is also child-friendly. Most of the exhibition texts are translated into English and a lot is also available in German. It would still be nice if the English translation were extended to all texts.

This place is definitely worth a visit - remember to set aside time for this as it will take me 3-4 hours if you want to see and experience the whole museum! We chose to eat at their cafe, here there was a reasonable selection of healthy dishes, all at very reasonable prices

I visited it as a concert venue (Lenny kravitz) with 2 girlfriends. We hadn't been there before and were unsure whether it was out or inside. We could not find information on the website, but it is out and blown away! Then check out the weather forecast and remember something to sit on.
