Still waiting for the hotel to open.
We heard they are trying for thanksgiving.

A must stay location! Very clean-staff consistently sanitizing. The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was beautifully designed. All staff we encountered were sweet, helpful and friendly. Beautiful place to spend the weekend.

Kind of fun, some staff were attentive others not so much. Accounts were pretty easy to set up and keep track of, and the machines were decent. Actually broke even. It was my first time there and honestly I can't say I plan on going back, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't tell others to check it out. Keep up the work and stay friendly Monarch. Oh and another thing we were both comped lobster dinner with a free buffet (my girlfriend and I) and the lobster was disgusting! Hers was full of eggs and the meat on mine was a light brown. Needless to say we didn't eat either of our lobsters, free or not that was a big disappointment. What if I would have paid for that lobster???

Buffet sucks. Not worth the price. Atmosphere great

Live music @ the Monarch Casino Saturday Night was a great time. Good Vibes all around. And I hit a JackPot! It was Nice to be out with my friends again!! Loved It!

Its fun, comfortable, and safe. Its amazing and feels like freedom from all the stress. Its a beautiful place. The hotel rooms are so nice and comfortable.

Customer Service is very important. I stayed with my family over the weekend. The rooms were amazing. The casino floor was good. The buffet however was awful. The customer service there was some of the worst received. In line they have absolutely no air flow. I heard the comment multiple times. I feel like I am going to pass out. I need to go stand over by the window. It makes me afraid to bring my elderly grandmother there. After getting seated we asked for silverware three times and no one brought us any. My husband went and had to grab our own just so we could start eating. You could tell the employees working were even having difficulty breathing and sweating profusely. When I am hot of course I would be grumpy. You could tell because they were all so hot that s why their customer service was awful too! Asking for a manager to voice my opinions he never came around. So don t try and complain because they really do not care to hear. My biggest concern is that people will start passing out if this does not get fixed. But to save myself trouble next time I will just take my family to a different casino buffet instead.

The staff was great. The room was awesome. Monarch gambling is good. They have an amazing pool and several hot tubs. I would recommend to anyone to stay here

Not impressed very upset on how long my food too just to get it I didn't get a sorry or money off of how long my food took I sat waiting the guy looked at so many times he knew I was waiting for my order so I decided on will order ice cream well i waited still no food I finally told him I been waiting Almost an hour for take out what's the hold up he askeed what I was holding for which he helped with my order and said oh yeah it might these which my food was right behind him the eggs I order was hot my sunny side up eggs were so cold the eggs weren't even running anymore and on the steak n melted cheese bread was soggy nn meat was hard very cold that I was sure if that was monster cheese or cream cheese I didn't even get apology or money and I didn't even use my card like I should of to get point or something I was my feeling good anynore wanted to leave by then

Your hiring managers could be more polite. But I enjoy the resort and casino

Their food since the remodel is absolutely disgusting. I have not yet had something edible and this is no joke. Skip the food here.

Been wanting to eat here for two years. Went for the seafood buffet. Lobster tail was ok, Crablegs were over cooked. Cheapest seafood near Denver not fresh.. Great desserts, and variety of food, from Mexican to Chinese to Vietnamese Pho. Clean place, fast and friendly service.

This place was rude about how they treated me, cuz I had an expired Temp tag. Because I was trying to update my pin number, so I could access my free play that they just sent me a flyer for. An to redeem my bus ticket which they say they will redeem after you have 300 pts, but told me they wanted 350pts. Before they kicked me down my reimbursement for my bus ticket. They just acted like, very strict in their response for turning down my request to have them update my pin, number stating it was the gaming law an there was nothing they could do for me

Very clean casino. The escalator was not working and you had to take the elevator, but I have closterphbia and the manager was very nice and took me down the stairs and didn't make a big deal out of it. Thank you to him, wish I would have asked his name.

Think a 4 is fair but could easily be a 5 if the had more held. Covid is playing games with the entire area. Many buffets close or not operational. Tables are crowd and way to price for folks playing for fun on vacation.

Everytime I go to Black Hawk, this is a place that I HAVE to go to. Really nice games and the buffet is AMAZING.

I liked the buffet with lobster and it's a nice comfy place to play

Absolutely love The Monarch Casino. The rooms are fantastic. We will be staying again. Looking forward for the Spa to be open.

If you can ignore the renovation it's going to be a great casino with new restaurants and a brand new state of the art hotel

Girl I was with came out ahead on the slots. Weak drinks and the video poker machines were tight on the night I was there. Nice clean place to spend a few hours gambling.

Really enjoyed how open and clean it is But have very rude,nasty & angry female janitor that was cleaning women's restroom early Friday morning April 8 2021. Not happy with that

Small/medium sized casino and the parking structure is small, needs to be bigger, but is usually not full. Games are plentiful, though it can get crowded and too loud on weekends. Some of the cocktail waitresses are rude and the security jerks in the ugly jackets are annoying. Valet staff are mostly nice and the valet service is open til midnight. No hotel, but there are places to eat. The buffet is usually pretty good and a little cheaper than other buffets. Then, depending on who is working, the restaurant downstairs is pretty tasty, though the menu is small. Points for rewards card are ok, coupons are not great and seems like when I use the card I don't win as much as when I don't. And finally, dealing with the hosting staff and getting info about your point status is a real pain. When they get the rewards program/customer information online, it will be quite an improvement.

Stayed in a single king with spa on the 15th floor and have to say that the room was excellent! They had a restaurant downstairs for breakfast that was just ok. The buffet was also just ok. Good sevice but the food wasnt amazing. Gambling was a lot of fun!! Not a lot of true penny machines as all are about a dollar twenty for a full minumum bet. It was packed and they didnt seem to have much of a 6' rule but they did check temps and limited people when at their max capacity. Will certainly be back!

The buffet was 100x better than the buffet at the lodge casino.

Stay away from this casino. They are the tightest slots in Black Hawk. Friend and I dropped $3100 and the most we hit was $225. They must have to pay for the loan on the hotel they are building. One of the worst experiences we have ever had.

First, let me say that I realize this is a casino. But there just wasn't anything to do other than gamble or eat.

I would give this place 0 stars buffet was not good at all thw food old from sitting out pizza was not done not alot of food to choose from dont not recommend this at all

Visited the evening of 3/28/22, the host at the podium to the buffet was lazy, uninterested and looked unmotivated. She had us wait around for 15-20 min.
She finally lets us thru to buffet, where we see a sign that says closed. Before we can ask a question, Stewart at the buffet cashier station is yelling at us saying he is closed! It was rude and obnoxious! We were only figuring out what was going on.
Why open the buffet if the workers don't want to be there!
They need training and manners! Will never visit this casino again due to Stuart and his lazy staff.

Love the people here! From cleaners, to wait staff, floor people and all in the Host office! Love them all!

Dj poker is my favorite. This is the only casino I like in blackhawk. Can't wait until they open up texas hold em tables. Thanks for making me a jackpot winner!

Dingy atmosphere, music isnt to good and waitress are not polite.

Great hotel!!! Amazing atmosphere!!! Had a very great time here with my family. I the casino games was amazing I can t wait to go back and experience everything again!!!

Enjoyed our day until running into a security guard too full of himself and his authority. Got kicked out on the way up to the buffet for being silly on the escalator.

Spoke with management who said he'd "look at the tape". Wow.

Terrible customer service and lack of care concerning handling a non-issue - could have just allowed us to enjoy the buffet and leave but nooooooo.

We spend thousands there, tip well and usually come up every week. I'm sure they won't notice two more empty seats at their tables, but they should.
