The Ribeye was fantastic! Top 3 in my life (probably the best). The menu has something for everyone. The staff is helpful with ordering, do take the advice of pork buns starter. Great atmosphere, such friendly and informative staff. Go to the milk bar upstairs for some equally incredible desserts. Momofuku earned a big fan of their products today

Order everything on the menu! The food and service were amazing. This is David Chang s Asian-influenced American fare restaurant so you can t go wrong. The menu changes so what I order might not be available all the time. In my photos, I have the Scallop Crudo, Sirloin Beef Tatski, Soft Shell Crab Po Boy Bun, Pork Bun, Steamed Greens, Roasted Rice Cakes, Habanero Fried Chicken, Grilled Hanger Steak, Crispy Potato and Vanilla Cinnamon Soft serve. The Milk Bar is upstairs if you want dessert to go. Also, if you don t want a sit down and some quick bites and drinks, there s also Momofuku Nishi upstairs.

Terrible hostess , management and bar staff!!!! Was looking forward to eating here! Got there and was miserable from the beginning til we finally left to another restaurant! Use to be good but clearly lost sight of th plot. Will never go back.... bummer

We had brunch here with a group of friends. Was told this is momofuku , david Chang's newest location, explains the plain decor. The resturant was clean but very simply decorated.

I ordered a couple of dishes. First the oysters and jona crab claws , .. both very fresh and the sauce that went with it was perfect!

Second was the salmon eggs Benedict, that dish was just okay. The egg was way too raw over the salmon and made the texture slimy.

Third was the habanero fried chicken and waffles. The waffles were fluffy and tasted like cornbread with a mixture of pancakes. Excellent! The fried chicken batter was hard as a rock, thick, and very salty. They sprinkled extra salt on top of the fried chicken when it's served. I did not care for it.

Forth was French toast, it was served with slices of apples on top. Fluffy with powdered sugar and fried to perfection. Good.

Lastly I had the pork buns. I hesitated to order it knowing it was a thick slice of pork meat with fat on it. But i did,... and it was the BEST dish we had here. The best pork buns I've EVER had. The buns melt in your mouth. You will not chew the fatty pork meat,... it just melts and is absolutely amazing!! Must must try!!

Visited this place back in 2016. Loved every bit of it. Opened my eyes that two distinct food culture can be blended in harmony into original and creative dishes here. Loved the beetroot and smoked yoghurt the most, could not find it anywhere else. Love the fried prata bread with deep fried shallots on top of it. The goey milk pie served as a sweet finish at the end, ordered from the Milk Bar upstairs.

I was really excited to come here, but in the end I expected more. First my wife and I ordered pork buns. Very good, loved them! She ordered the fried rice w lobster. I thought it was very salty and then found a bug in my food, which to me is not a huge deal. The waiter took the dish and took it off our bill. My wife had the hanger steak, and I the veal. Both were tender. I thought the veal was very salty. I loved the mustard sauce. My wife's steak was very good. We then had the white chocolate w popcorn. Overall I expected more. The bill was 150 and I usually don't spend that on a dinner for two. So for that price I think I wouldn't return. I've had much better meals for much cheaper.

David Chang can do no wrong, he even made me love brussel sprouts! They were so crispy and their flavor - a mix of soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha - was heavenly. Delicious and inventive menu. Excellent lunch, the pork buns were obviously a favorite! Also enjoyed some flavored lemonade/sodas. The atmosphere is great for a business lunch, but probably not intimate enough for a romantic evening. Was also a bit loud.

Food is fun and filling with plenty of adventure and a charged - up atmosphere. Limited but excellent wines available by the glass. Staff is very accomodating and full of youthful charm.

Some changes have been made since our last visit. No more dim sum style food carts and the dessert connection with the Milk Bar are lost. No more Crack Pie or Layer Cake baked with Sprinkles. Boo Hoo!

Decor is minimalist and doesn't feel warm or inviting. The food is very good, rice cakes were delicious and the chicarrones with trout spread were delicious but all the entres and sides seemed over sauced.

My husband and I spent our new years eve at Ma Peche and sat at the upstairs bar area for dinner. The bar tender was very warm and friendly and it was very quiet, dimly lit and romantic in this part of the restaurant. Not to mention the food was amazing! We would certainly go back if ever we are back in NYC!

Don't order the Cod it was dry. And somehow mysteriously my credit card was stolen. I inadvertently left my credit card behind called the restaurant they told me they had it. When I arrived back to pick it up the manager on duty said they didn't have it. As I was dealing with the manager my credit card company called me and asked if I was at Walgreens in the Bronx charging 52 bucks and did I just charge 19 bucks at checkers in the Bronx. So if you're in the market for dry fish and identity theft this is the place for you!

Had breakfast here, we had Shakshuka and the Waffles. We both loved our meals. Very casual and relaxed environment. Coffee was a little expensive for nothing that special. Wasn't too busy, had cool art and good music playing.

This is the least interesting and enjoyable restaurant of the Momofuku empire; prices are expensive for the portions (probably partially due to its Midtown location), service is often disorganized and the ambiance is a little cold and corporate. Love the Milk Bar upstairs, however.

I've been here many times, and every time has been great. Whether it's for drinks upstairs, a quick lunch, or dinner with a dozen other people, the wait staff, bartenders, and chefs here are doing it right. Big shoutout to the broccoli salad (when it's on the menu) and the mezcal mule.

This place has small carts come around with various small dishes, all of which are great. The pork buns were by far my favorite. They also make a noodles dish that is great. The desserts were mediocre at best.

Overpriced and underwhelming. To add insult to injury there is a dim sum cart that comes after you order off the regular menu selling more overpriced and underwhelming food. Left after giving a large donation to the momofuku corporation.

Great $10 Midtown lunch. Go to the Ma Peche Website and order a Banh Mi before 11:00 a.m. to reserve one of these sandwiches. Limited supply. Grab a Compost Cookie at the Milk Bar on the way out.

I definitely recommend hitting this Momofuku up for lunch, when it's serene and they offer nearly the full menu. Seafood dishes are the best things on the menu, skip the noodle dishes which are greasy and seem cheap.

Really good fun, to be honest I was expecting more in terms of the dining experience and standard of food. Don t get me wrong the food was great but the expectations here are too high. I think if I came here not knowing anything I might have been much happier. I shouldn t read reviews. Still I would come back again and it ll probably be better next time. Great service and 10/10 art.

I give them 2 stars because the food was okay, but the service was not. I ordered the kimchi burger, and asked if I could substitute a salad for the fries because I cannot eat potatoes. They told me the chef was unwilling to alter the dish.

It's pretty lame if a restaurant is unwilling to work with someone who has a dietary restriction. Especially for an o.k. burger that costs $30.

Fun and delicious dinner before a show a City Center. Great spring rolls, fantastic halibut pot pie (a 1st time for any of us), lamb and veggies & rice noodles. Terrific brussel sprouts to start. Casual atmosphere and lively buzz. We came back for dessert at the Milk Bar upstairs, coffee & tea from the upstairs bar and a very relaxing post show discussion in the Chambers Hotel lounge upstairs.

Let me start of by saying I was with a large group. We had a great time, though I had expected more. They will not seat you till your whole group is there. They will call you to let you know they will charge you if you cancel less then 24 hours before ($25 per person).

There were not many food choices, so being a large group we were able to share a lot of the the items off the menu. Everything was delicious. FYI the fried chicken is spicy and watch out for that. Pork belly buns is a must try.

Was looking for a great place for brunch on a rainy Sunday morning in New York City! And yes, found a great and very unique experience. Matcha pancakes, waffle with crispy fried chicken and egg with smoked salmon, very yummy:) love the lavender infused maple syrup.
Fantastic experience, will come back again!
One request: it would be great if they offer a pot of tea. One cup is not enough:))

Interesting place for brunch if you want mix between Western and Asian foods. You can order brunch entrees such as chicken and waffle, which was really good, with the habanero giving the chicken just enough kick and the lime adding additional moistness, or you can opt for small bites served in dim sum style push carts. The roast pork bun is a must have, with super tender and moist meat and just enough fat. Great place for a date or get together with a few friends!

I had brunch at Ma Peche. The food was tasty. Started with pork buns then had the chicken and waffles. They were very good. I'm a chicken and waffles fanatic and these held their own. I only gave the restaurant 3 stars because the service concept doesn't work. I don't know about you, but I don't want food that's passed below half the restaurants nose before I decide whether or not I want it. The dim sum concept in this restaurant, where plates are carried table to table and placed under each customers nose, doesn't seem very sanitary and definitely not appetizing. Also, I ordered a mimosa three times that never came. The waiter kept telling me he would send the drink cart. Sadly the cart never made it. Why they would try to wheel a cart through such tight space makes no sense. The cart lady had to keep telling people to push in their chairs because she couldn't take it through. Needless to say, the back of the restaurant never saw the drink cart. I also ordered one of each cookie from the Milk Bar, the associated bakery you pass through on the way out of the restaurant. The corn and compost cookies are the best. All others were like eating raw cookie dough. I get the soft cookie concept, but these just didn't seem to be cooked through. Momofuku recently opened a venue in DC. I will check it out to see what it's like, but I don't think it will become one of my standard go to restaurants. As for the prices, I live in DC where restaurant prices are ridiculous, so I didn't think the prices were that bad. I'm sure in NYC where a good meal can still be had at a reasonable price, Momofuku may be considered high given the cuisine. Truthfully, I think the better restaurant is the Noodle Bar in the Village. Great eats, great service, and down to earth atmosphere.

A genuine surprise in a nondescript midtown hotel. Lovely, well-composed food that tastes good. What is merely very good becomes exception because they take reservations -- meaning this is your only chance (other than stalking seat at his other restaurants) to sample David Chang's technique and fetishes.

I feel as if I can give a very good review of Ma Peche, as when my party was there for dinner last week, we ordered every entree, all the vegetables, and some of the appetizers. Let's do grades.

scallop (barneget light, nj) - black olive, pine nut, endive - A
I liked the crunch of the pine nuts with the perfectly seared scallops

swordfish (block island, ri) - black bean, chinese celery, crispy shallot - B+
The black bean was a nice compliment to the swordfish, but I wish there was a bit more taste in the fish.

eden brook trout (monticello, ny) - sunchoke, cashew, fish sauce - A
Not enough nice restaurants do fresh water fish. The trout was a perfect representation, that was very pleasing.

duck (jurgielewicz farm, pa) - sausage, spaetzel, scallions - A+
While everything was good, starting here, it just got better. The duck was meaty, rich and delicious.

lamb shank (niman ranch) - eggplant, rice, raisins - A+
The Niman Ranch guys know what they're doing. The lamb was fall off the bone tender, juicy and almost caused a fight of who got to have the last bit of it.

pork chop for two (bev eggleston, va)- potato, cavalo nero, pancetta - A
Much of my party felt this was the best dish (where I was all about the lamb). That being said, the pork chop was amazing. I could have gone for the potatoes a bit crispier, but hey...

carrots - bone marrow, chili, lime - A
Some people were scared off by the marrow. These people are silly. Marrow makes everything better.

grilled cabbage - beef tongue, basil, fish sauce
See above comment, but about tongue.

brussels sprouts - chili vinaigrette, mint, scallion - A-
I really enjoyed these, but they didn't quite have the same umpfh as the other veggies. Brussels sprouts have somehow gotten a bad name amongst vegetables, and I don't understand why.

summer rolls - pork or shrimp, lettuce, daikon, peanut - B-
Probably the least adventurous item we had. It was fine, but unexciting.

beef tartare (niman ranch) - soy, scallion, mint - A
If tartare is made properly, I almost always like it. It held true here, and the mint was a nice touch

crispy pig's head (holthaus farm, ia) - lentils, pickled apple, mustard - A+
People got scared by the concept of eating pig's head. I like pig, but couldn't tell what part it was. All I knew was that it was delicious, and I got more than my fair share. Yeah!

coquiallge - king crab, calamansi, chili jam - A
Mmmm mmmm mmmmmmmmmmmm

Very mixed experiences here when we visited as part of our stay at the wonderful adjoined Chambers Hotel. Breakfast (part of our hotel package) experience was atrocious - the staff were rude and dismissive, waited 20 mins from asking for a coffee for the waiter to come back (still no coffee) to take our order at which point we told him to forget it even though our breakfast would have been 'free' (probably why he ignored us). Complained to the hotel staff who graciously offered us a free lunch. Returned later to take our lunch and found a much more welcoming experience though still a bit aloof. Small plates of decent food but glad we weren't paying as a total rip off and every one else in the joint appeared to be on expense account business lunches. Popped back in again in the evening to use our cocktail vouchers from the hotel and found the bar (upstairs) to be a much better experience. Tasty cocktails expertly prepare by an engaging barman and loved the peachy setting - Does actually feel like you are in a peach! I feel sorry for the wonderful Chambers that this place reflects badly on them, but the Chambers staff more than made up for the second rate treatment we received from Ma peche. I would only return to use the package deals from Chambers and i would definitely go back to the hotel.

perfect for after theater. not busy after 10pm. light and wonderful. i had spring rolls and a selection of cheeses. dale had steak tartare & spring rolls. casual and beach feeling. we haven't been to the downtown places so we have no basis for comparison.

Overrated. Overpriced. Worst "fine dining" experience of my life! Embarrassed and extremely disappointed for setting up a party for my coworkers' retirement party. The food was not only inadequate in size for my big group, it was also inadequate in quality for the price you pay for. Subpar. Left feeling ripped off. Never going back to the likes of a place like this. Thumbs down to the nth level.

Only place to get David Chang's food in midtown. Really cool concept, where they bring you passed small plates in addition to what you order. Great meat and fish options, recommend the burger and the fried chicken for large plates and obviously the buns for small. As an added plus they have Milk bar for dessert.

Excellent food, maybe the best I've had at any restaurant of the Momofuku group so far (though I haven't been at Ko yet). I took two of the small plates, a side and some cheese, and no large plates, and it was quite enough. They have a lot of seafood dishes but I wanted meat so I went for beef tataki (thin raw beef slices) and the cured beef buns. The first was subtle and complex, whereas the second was more strong and striking, yet both delicious. The Asian pear and jicama salad was a bit too spicy for me, and the dressing could have been a bit more intense. The Winnimere cheese comes, as all of them, with warm cranberry walnut bread, honey and compote, all of which I recommend, which make it more part of an ensemble rather than a dish all by itself.

My highlight of dinner at Ma Pache was probably the dessert from the Momofuku Milk Bar outpost out front. Dinner was somewhat forgettable even though I really wanted to like it. I took my friends here for dinner to thank them for a big favor they did me, and I left a little embarrassed after a meh dinner.

David Chang's Midtown eatery is kind of the step child of his empire, but it easily matches Saam Bar and Momofuku in quality. Yes, the atmosphere is a little awkward, but you can always get a table without a wait, which fans of the chef know is NOT possible at his other joints. This is the one restaurant where I prefer the dining room rather than the bar - that awkward space is best skipped.

One of the best dining experiences in NYC. Went for lunch and was blown away. The staff were fantastic with food allergies in the group, made great recommendations, and were notably friendly and laid back. The space is simple and comfortable. Every small plate, dim sum plate, and main (pretty much everything is meant to be shared) were memorable.
Definitely my favorite of David Chang's places in the city. Can't wait to go again.
(p.s. you're probably thinking fried chicken shouldn't be the most expensive thing on the menu.... it's worth it. Do it.)

Rude. awful.expensive....this place is so rediculous..not only do they make it so hard for you to get a stupid table here..you get there and the place is always empty...the people running to front are rediculously rude...like they are doing you a favor....the oysters were the worst ive ever had....mediocre fish and unflavored dry chicken...a 200 dollar meal that should have cost 8 at best...i will never return to the place...their other restaurants are not so bad...but this is just gross..

Excellent, flavorful food. I'd say it's a little pricey and there are better options in the Momofuku portfolio (Like Fuku+ upstairs) but this is a great place to try. The shrimp are excellent if you are the type that can handle the body still on. Nice dinner out with friends if you are adventurous and not stingy.
