When visiting Michigan, Pine Grove is a MUST for me. They have anything & everything you could want; for all demographics & ages! From cardio equipment, machines, free weights, a functional training jungle gym, and a TRX/RIP training class that combines all the movements for your daily life. They also offer group classes (yoga, spin, etc.) and if you re new to the gym they offer a FREE personal training session where the trainer can get you familiar with the equipment or get you into tip-top shape! Not to mention they also have a pool, saunas for both men & women; AND a BRAND NEW Cryogenic Therapy Chamber that is top notch!
Plus, after you enjoy whatever form of physical movement you choose for the day; you can stop by the juice bar for some amazing organic food! What more could you ask for?!?
10/10 recommend!!!

Pine grove is nice but the hours could be better. Don't get me wrong the gym is nice but the hours need to be expanded so I have a great opportunity to use the facility.
Also,
The staff is lacking in any knowledge other than checking clients in.
Most importantly the owner is the type of lady that will leave you with a bad after taste in your mouth. I had a billing issue after my membership cancelled (I was charged and told my membership wouldn't expire until 12/19) the owner did not take responsibility for her staffs lack of knowledge and said "I'm sorry that you don't understand how to read the contract " I don't like giving my money to rude people.

We enjoyed this gym for many years. We have decided to move on for some more specific class offerings but still miss it sometimes.

Very sad to have to end my membership after 14 years! Although we have put up with the raising monthly fees andd uncleanliness of Pine Grove all these years, we enjoyed the pool immensely. However, closing the pool has put an end to our desire to work out at this place and we cancelled our membership.

They advertise having a sauna, so I decided to check the place out as I would join just to use it. Well they didn't lie, there is a sauna, but its one of the most disgusting, dilapidated sorry excuses i've ever seen for a sauna. It is literally falling apart, multiple panels missing, exposing the spray foam insulation and temp fixes, complete with different shades of mold and various rotting bits. The cedar has names carved into from the 70s, it looks like 18th century barn wood thats been repurposed for several different buildings, theres a nasty filmy substance coating the top of it, probably from decades without a single cleaning.
But worst of all, is this "sauna" has an auto shutoff feature, when it gets "too hot"... Well too hot seems to mean 155F. To reset it, you have to move his metal cover that can get quite hot, its a huge pain in the ass. I have probably used over 1,000 saunas in my life, and have never seen a feature like this. If you have a properly built sauna, you don't need an auto shutoff feature. At least adjust the threshold because this pathetic excuse for a sauna can't exceed anything above room temperature.
I spent 2 hours trying to get it to temp, had the guy who was working come down and reset it.
Another guest came in while I was trying to hear it up and said he wished they would fix it, its been like his as long as he could remember and the only
reason he still came. There is no other public sauna in Cadillac or the surrounding area, but I am better off sitting naked in front of my wood stove at home.
