The photos provided by the restaurant suggest a level of sophistication accompanying a high quality dining experience. If you are looking a romantic date night, do not believe these lies.

The decor might be the same as the photos, but on a Friday night, expect all mood lighting to be turned off, and the only ambiance/soundtrack to be the clatter of dozens of families and travellers with backpacks.

The food is disappointing too. I'll leave my photos for you to make a judgement on look, but the steak was overdone and we didn't finish most.

The service was average. They actually forgot to bring out some sides, but we probably just dodged a bullet with that.

Stayed at the Omni with a friend and decided to eat here. So Glad!

The restaurant is classic steakhouse decor, dark wood paneling, white tablecloths, dimly lit. There's a jar of pickles and peppers on the table to enjoy.

Service from Kevin was stellar. Attentive without being fussy. My friend and I both had the filet mignon, cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and baked potato were great. The massive carrot served with the entree was seasoned and cooked well. We also enjoyed the delicious side of creamed corn. Enri the restaurant manager made sure to stop by and check on us and he was very nice and courteous, he also gave us some tips on what bars to check out.

Loved the food, this is a place all steak lovers should go!

Nice place. But the food isnt that delicious. I m talking about the burger, it was so flat, for being an steak place, the flavor of the meat wasn t what we expected. Felt like we pay too much for being not satisfied at all.

Attended a business dinner with a group of 15. We had a reservation for 7:15 and were promptly seated. The restaurant was perhaps 2/3rds full at that time. Initially the service was attentive but somewhat slow as there was only one person serving the group. Beverages, and orders were taken. Appetizers and salads were served. And then nothing... we were finally served our meals at 9:40 PM along with apologies. At this time there were only six other tables still seated and nearly all of them were in the process of leaving. When we finished eating the waiter began clearing the table and we asked for the check. Several minutes passed without the check and we asked again and were told that they were going to give us dessert to make up for the slow service. Two issues... we did not have the time to wait and we didn't want the dessert. Ten minutes pass and they bring three large pieces of cake (for 15 ... actually 14 people as one of the group had to leave before the meals arrived). Finally the check arrives and the manager is smiling letting us know the dessert was comped as well as one of the dinners (the meal for the gentlemen that had to leave before the meals were served). He stood there assuming that this magnanimous gesture was going to be warmly received. Sadly, at 10:00 PM we/I were no longer in a mood to appreciate that the cake they were going to throw away was going to make up for a 2+ hour wait. And as we were a large group there was an 18% gratuity fee included. I accept that this is NYC, but the service and smug attitude were a bit more than should be accepted.

Was staying in the Berkshire Place so decided to have a meal here on or last night. Food and service was great, but have had better meals elsewhere for half the price. Think twice before eating here over priced.

If you are looking for a solid steak with a darn good wine list and don t want to max the Amex this is your place. Rat pack playing in the background, definite old school cool place. A little dated but that is ok. Really enjoyed my experience. Bone in ribeye is the best I have ever had for the great price. Enjoy!

BAD SERVICE

BAD SERVICE
The food is ALRIGHT and they are on the pricier end.
The reason for my poor review is the wait staff. The bartender could not hear anyone's orders and you were constantly screaming to repeat yourself like you were in a dive bar. We took our food to go, as we ordered a lot of food. I spent well over $300 for two people. All of our sides were smashed TOGETHER in 2 containers. Both of our dinners were put together! Our salads were packaged with our HOT sides. This is how you treat a meal worth $300?! I am an avid steak house patron, this is unnacceptable. My second chance at this meal turned it from a fine dining experience to a grab and go from TGIFridays.

After a jaunt around Rockefeller Center for all that NYC has to offer we made our last minute decision to check Bob's out! Last minute seating was a breeze! As we sat we saw the pickles & peppers in the jar begging us to open! The waiter was prompt my French Martini perfect and the meals on point! I do wonder why the glazed carrot? It's well um ewww lol but it seems everyone thinks so as I saw countless carrots return to the kitchen with all the food devoured... Thanks for a lovely evening!

Can't say enough about this restaurant and it's staff. First, they really catered to us by delivering an ambiance of care throughout the entire night. The staff maintained continuous conversation in hopes of ensuring we were always pleased with our choices. Second, the food was well prepared and delicious. The salmon was prepared perfectly. The steak was prepared just to my liking and with distinction. The bread pudding sealed the deal. We will for sure be back. Thank you for a great experience!

I am really pleased with the food, atmosphere and experience at Bob's. I had a very poor experience with the hotel that this is located in. But due to that I received complimentary drinks for my girlfriend and I and complimentary breakfast.

I decided upon the steak and eggs, and my girlfriend the avocado toast. I received an excellent medium rare filet that was just a tad to salty by itself, but when combined with the crispy potatoes and eggs it turned into an awesome flavor explosion. The avocado toast was impressive. It was monstrous in size and the flavor didn't fail either. I'm glad we both had an excellent breakfast, and I'm sure their lunch and dinner is up to snuff as well.

The staff and the management didn't disappoint either. Our waiter was prompt and made sure we were satisfied with our meal. There was a misunderstanding between the hotel staff and the restaurant but the manager on the morning of the 25th was more than gracious to accommodate us. I lost his card but I was very pleased with how he treated us and wanted to make sure that the restaurant knows that he and the staff went above and beyond for our meal.

We also made it to the bar twice, and received a great cocktail from the bartender Sonny. I really appreciate how he treated us as customers and made sure we were satisfied with our drinks.

It's easy to write off hotel restaurants because many options out there are subpar for what you pay and get. This place really exceeded my expectations by not only serving excellent food, but also matching it with excellent service.

We was not greeted when entering the establishment. I had made reservation yet i was not asked. We asked for a medium well steak which was extremely dry and felt like i was eating a gummy candy. The server was okay but the experience was poor. It's quite a shame

Decided to eat here because it was in the hotel (Omni Berkshire) where we were staying. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny as the service and food were exceptional. Although the restaurant is upscale, we didn't feel uncomfortable by being dressed casual (tank top and jeans).

As this is a Texas style eatery, it had the biggest carrot I have ever seen. It's a little on the sweet side as I believe it's marinated in apple sauce. This made it the best tasting carrot I've ever had. We had the lamb chops and ribeye. Both cooked medium. Both were delicous. The smashed potatoes were pretty good. Also had the creamed spinach which was very good compared to other steakhouses. This place will be revisited.

Had porterhouse, good flavor and decent size; however, the texture of the strip side (medium rare) is very hard: one was rubbery, and the other a little better. Maybe I was not lucky tonight. My friend seemed he had no issue with his cut. The price is close to Porterhouse inside Time Warner building, but quality is not even close. Everything else is good, bread, giant carrot and fried potato chips!

It was our first night in NYC, rainy, after a long flight and we decided just to eat in the hotel. I am so glad we did; I would come to this place even if I was not staying at the Omni. Very good service (Nor was a wonderful waiter) and top notch steak house fare. The steaks were really terrific, cooked perfectly with a lot of flavor. Great sides (both the creamed spinach and the mushrooms were particularly good), a wonderful wedge and excellent cheesecake. Strong cocktails, too. We were very happy.

The food here was amazing, but what separated it from other steakhouses i've been to was the service, now the servers were great (bar none), but the host was a strapping young man whose eloquent farci really shocked me, coming from the middle east discrimination can be heard daily. But when he spoke farci to me I immediately felt at home. I believe his name was Sepher and he should be promoted to manager if all permits.
