Terrific atmosphere, great staff, excellent music. We met some fun people at the bar, chap from Berlin & James (Jimmy from Cork). We laughed, Irish danced & drank far too much! A truly good evening for our first taste of Dublin.

As a Dubliner, the prices are mad BUT the staff are always brilliantly friendly, the music always keeps you dancing and it is always a great place to share Irish stories, as an Irish person! I like it, always have...would be lovely to have Dublin rates ;)
Came here with my mom a few weeks back. We wanted to do something touristy and this fit the bill. I think I recall reading they have the biggest whiskey selection in the area!
Nice restaurant. Food taste is impressive. Portions are quite big. It s worth the price. Just one thing is that the waiters way of talking can seem tough which might be the Irish culture. They were nice in general but wasn t sure if they were cranky or friendly.
An absolute must-do if you happen to be in Dublin. It is expensive, but certainly worth it. Incredible atmosphere, incredible music. Highly recommended.
A great experience to be at The Temple Bar in Dublin. A place where you can enjoy a nice pint of Guinness or other beers. Is a bit pricy but not extremly comparing to other pubs in Dublin. I definately recommend at least visiting once while in Dublin. There are many pwople that come only to take pictures there but is also nice to spend some time. Is usually crowded and busy at all times and orders are flying. Good job Temple Bar team!! I would definately come back to have a pint of Guinness there !!
Staff very friendly! Ordered a glass of wine and.... Asked what soup they had - they didn t have any. Asked for wings - I was told they sold them all to another table and now all they have is frozen (I guess they can t be thawed?). So, Greek salad it is! Probably the healthier choice anyways. The large was a decent size, I wouldn t call it enough for a meal though. There was very little cheese, lots of onions and no olives. When coming here, I gather the thing to do is order the special, which was a burger. They looked good. After I finished my food, I was enjoying my glass and wine (intending on ordering another when this was done), and the very nice waitress brought me my bill. I guess it meant to be a one wine evening.
fantastic for a tourist bar! There are moments that are full of people and other moments are mild! I recommend picking up a table against the bar, it's easier to place orders! Ordering oysters pays off a lot, they are fresh and delicious, a small olive entree is also very good, and has a wide range of beers! If you come to Dublin I highly recommend this bar!
Definitely very touristy, but a must visit if you are visiting Dublin for the first time! Their music set up was my favorite in Dublin because you could hear the band from pretty much anywhere throughout the bar. If you want to meet and learn about some locals, this isn't the place to go, but I see why it's one of the most famous.
A must see place when visiting Ireland, it has a fabulous atmosphere and the live music is brilliant. Not too expensive a round cost us 15 that was for a pint of guiness and pint of magnets however, I asked for double baileys with ice and that cost me 14 so be aware of what you're asking for
Some cool love music but filled with hen parties and very drunk tourists... There's possibly a more Irish bar somewhere up the road but it was decent. Very warming atmosphere.
Really big spacious pub with lots of love music. Great selection of good quality drinks and pour a very fine Guiness. I love the fact they have an outdoor courtyard that feels like it's part of the indoors. Would definitely return when I'm back in Dublin.
Very nice place, nice atmosphere and good drink, all that you can ask is there, there is a band or group always playing. The outside decoration is nice and very bright. The only think that I didnt like too much is that is crowl always
Finally we got a drink inside the temple bar and so glad we did...great atmosphere and vibes with live music no wonder it was so busy. Food served all day with seating area at the back.. Would I come here again yes. Ps global webcam just above you as you leave the bar on the left...so look up and wave..xx
Extremely touristy place. Typical busker band playing Oasis etc. Locals avoid this place like the plague. Comparable to the equivalent on Bourbon Street in New Orleans or the walking street in Copenhagen. Packed, difficult to move, etc. Worth only a brief visit to confirm there are much better bars in Dublin.
The combo of oysters and Guinness is great, go figure! Good service. Cozy pub atmosphere, live music. They have gluten free bread for the sandwiches, that's a BIG plus. Ordered Pizza for the kids, was appreciated and tasty. We had a buggy and although a bit tight we managed to find seats.
This has got to be the BEST pub I've ever been to. What a range of spirits! A continuous live band and the hospitality is amazing. Bartenders certainly know how to work efficiently and effectively. Shame that Europe isn't a tipping culture. For the volume, staff here defo deserve a good tip out from guests.
One of the finest pubs here in Dublin! Just from the exterior one sees it is something very characteristic and Irish-typical and I was really fascinated and curious about its look. When I entered I found myself immersed in an exquisitely Irish warm and welcoming atmosphere. There where lights sparkling everywhere, music playing, people cheering it was awesome. The interiors are those typical of an Irish pub, but here there is also a place dedicated to bands for live music performances. The personal is kind and helpful. The food is great and the pub offers a menu with several dishes, snacks and desserts. Also the beer selection is great I chose a classical Guinness though. I reccommend this places to all people who are nearby. It is really worth it staying here for a nice night.
Sure it's where all the tourists go- but that doesn't mean it's not worth the trip! Excellent service, drinks and food. Props to the staff who are really exceptional at handling the busy crowd. Fun atmosphere- iconic spot.
It's a mad house. Very cool venue with tons of live music. Always full. They have some live cameras that you can watch on your phone which is neat. Quick service if you can get to the bar considering the amount of people there. Prices are a bit higher than other nearby bars.
Amazing pub! Absolutely loved the live music, on for 364 days a year! The atmosphere was just stunning and the waiting staff friendly and very polite! The pub was really busy and the bartender were fast and served us immediately! One of the best places to visit in Dublin!!
Spent far too long in here !!!! Stayed for the live music, ended up with oysters (fantastic) 1/2 dozen pints of the black stuff and left a very happy chap
Great atmosphere friendly staffing ...live music which makes a difference for the place. Nice lunch on the menu ....I had oyster with Guinness....it was beautiful . I do strongly advise to pop in for a visit
Great fun, we thought we'd better visit as it's 'the place to go' but ended up spending 4hr there. Great atmosphere and music acts... It's busy though so don't expect to get a seat unless you go mid afternoon or hand around a bit. Prices were high, about 20% more than other areas (6.90E per Guinness) but because of the entertainment it felt worth it. Would recommend for a few hours entertainment though not sure if want to be there late evening as sure it would be rammed
Expected a bit of a tourist trap but actually had a very good experience. The live music was nice and it was not overly crowded although it was on a Wednesday evening. I assume in the weekend it is much busier. The prices are what you can expect for such venue... high! However still worth visiting and really enjoyable. The Guiness tasted great.
Good music and vibe, only reason that I haven't ranked it higher is because it was just soooo rammed in there that you could barely move, let alone sidestep to dance ha!
Decent restaurant in the Temple Bar area. Lots of menu options and lots of drink options. The service was great and our server was very friendly. Drinks were great and food was good, but it's definitely overpriced, which I think is due to the location. An Irish Coffee 10.50 and a cider was about 7. Decent place to eat with lots of seating, but nothing stand-out about it.
This was my first time in Dublin. People say Beers are pricy here but I didn't think there was a huge difference. I loved the live music. Definitely check this place out if you are traveling alone. You meet lot of friendly folks here very lively atmosphere.
Good good good! I had a great time, they do table service and the waiter, Diego, was super nice and fun. It is crowded but the place is huge so it is nit that bad. I loved it.
I know it's a tourist spot. But we had a genuinely fantastic night here. I've been to Dublin over 30 times and had always avoided it, now I can't wait to go back!
Wonderfully experience with the wonderful music of Shawn and Bob on Monday evening (every Monday) Good music that deserve a big public , I really love that The temple bar let those new artists receive great attention. Really really good! If you are on holiday in Dublin you must go check The temple bar! Is a must!
Temple Bar is a must see hot spot in Dublin. Not popular for residents, but overcrowded with tourists. You'll find great pints there, fantastic selection of Irish whiskeys and gins. Drink and food prices are a little bit higher then in the rest of the city, but look - you are in the center of a things, enjoying live entertainment and Irish music, having a best Guinness ever and making a memorable experience. Before going there check for opening and closing times - lots of places are still closed in Dublin amd most of them are operating shorter then usual.
This bustling and busy bar is located in the heart of the Temple Bar region in central Dublin. There is a large range of drinks available to buy from several bars. There is also an outside seating area as well as plenty of indoor seating. There is often live music playing which contributes to the fun Irish pub vibe.
This is a spot that's worth a visit for it's history. It's fun and they offer all the Staples. I'd advise against getting food here, it's generally over priced and average. However, grab a pint and support the establishment! If you're looking to have a few drinks, there are cheaper spots in the Temple Bar area.
2years ago i went to Dublin on vacation and yesterday I moved here. The Temple bar has not only maintained the same amazimg atmosphere but it also is just a genuine amazing place. They serve tons of people a year and yet the barkeeper remembered me and took a couple of minutes to tell me what the best way to get around town is. I think this pretty much sums up the bar. And the Guinness is pretty great aswell.
If your after live music (good or bad) this is the place. One band played authentic Irish music and were superb, not my thing but when the next band came on playing the latest, gosh they were poor. Prices for drinks are high but no different from other establishments in the area.
Great place with live music. Lots of cool people and friendly staff. Must visit in Dublin. Crowded in weekends. Weekdays are great to listen to music and chill with friends.
This place somehow encompasses a both chill and fun vibe whilst having quick bar service. The live music was a great touch. Even though it is pegged as touristy, don't let that deter you
So it's famous - but the service is nonexistent, prices are high, and the food is just okay. Very loud even in the middle of the day.
We went during the day and had trouble finding a seat. I had to go to the bar and ask for a menu. I had to go to the bar to order. I had to go to the bar to inquire about where our food was after about 20 minutes.
I know I'm a curve buster concerning the ratings but I was not impressed. There are much better places to eat in Dublin. However, to each his own, If you want the overcrowded tourist version of an Irish pub you can't beat the Temple Bar.
