This bar has the best atmosphere and is filled with friendly people. The live music puts everyone in a good mood and the bartenders are great. We will be back again before we leave and will definitely be back next time we're here!
It was great there. It's a very nice Pup and we heared very good live music. Only the prices are quite high. But i can recommend this place

Very busy bar. Great for the young, not so much for older. If you are older recommend skipping it on Friday and Saturday nights. Very lively, active bar. Was neat to see. District was very cool too
I m not going to lie. This is a very touristic spot, but if you are in Dublin you have to walk this area. It is full of night life. There are a lot of good bars with life music and so much to do. Great food and great ambiance.

Nice environment although a bit pricey compared with other Irish pubs in Dublin. Usually crowded and with live music everyday. Did not try the food but there's a wide selection of Irish whiskey.
It was very cool to see in person, however it was EXTREMELY busy. You'll definitely have a hard time finding a place to stand, let alone sit.

The area is a lot of fun, the actual temple bar you can barely move in so I recommend the others to actually stay longer in, but grab a pint in TB
Although it might sound like a tourist trap "The Temple Bar" in "Temple Bar", I really enjoy this pub. It has the original Irish character you're looking for, serves a wide array of drinks, which are prepared with good care and they have good quality live music. Also, they have both inside and outside space, which is very pleasant during the summer months.
A fun place if you hit the music right, be sure to look up online what musicians will be there! Pints are overpriced compared to other pubs in area, but it s really more for the experience. Food is decent but also overpriced. This place is really about the experience and it is usually a very fun time, even if it is always crowded (mostly tourists). I would definitely recommend going once, but once is probably all you need.
The Temple Bar was all decorated for Christmas and was very festive. A musician was playing at 2 in the afternoon and my husband had a the Christmas sandwich with turkey ham stuffing and cranberry. Delicious.
Absolutely worth a visit just go early to avoid higher beer prices and visit other pubs! Excellent live music. Service is good it's just jam packed and pricey.

We wanted authentic Irish food. We tucked in during a rainstorm and they also had live music. It felt very welcoming and historic. It was tricky to find as the whole area is called Temple Bar. I had bacon and eggs.
Great spot to visit. Lots of good vibes and good times. Had a party with seven people and the service was great. Would recommend going if you have time.

Visited this area as part of a tour package out of Dublin. Would recommend visiting this place but would take a hire car as there is plenty of opportunity to walk and enjoy at your own pace. It felt a little rushed on the tour, we had 1 hour and 45 mnutes to spend there. Get there early, it can be busy..
Obviously one of the highlights of anyone's trip to Dublin is going to the THE Temple Bar. The place was lively when I arrived on a Tuesday night! Packed! Couldn't believe it. Really no matter when you go, this place is rocking. Great whiskey selection if you decide to go that route. Bar staff is efficient as hell and there are multiple places to sit and hang out at of you can't find a seat to watch the live music.

Locals say that this bar is somewhat expensive. In my experience, there are more expensive bars out there than this bar. Their prices were more reasonable than others that I attended. Atmosphere was great and a lot of people having fun and drinking.
Awesome atmosphere and definitely worth it for drinking one Guinness. However, it is expensive and our tour guide even called it a tourist trap with increasing beer prices the later it gets. So probably not the best place for spending the whole evening.
Good old classic - must visit for first time visitors
Would have been 5 stars if the prices were more reasonable. 7.90 for a pint of cider/lager and 8.80 for a glass of wine. If your into love music with an Irish twist this is the place for you. Band after band, could stay in there all day if I was a millionaire
Good vibes. They play a lot of traditional Irish music. We went on a Thursday night and drinks were around 9 each. Price was as expected for a touristic area. None the less it's a must visit place when you come down to Dublin.

An iconic stop, but always very busy. For a similar experience that isn't mobbed by tourists, walk a block in any direction. Find a local place instead. The music is usually better elsewhere too, in my opinion.

Iconic pub encapsulates the area it takes its name from, Temple Bar. Not a place for quiet drink from Thursday night until Saturday Night. Lively, cosy during the day and early afternoon, great place to meet, bring a small group in for a delicious pint and sample one of Dublin's great pubs. Don't listen to travel blog writers, they have never been here, listen to those that have. Trust me, this place is cool.
Great atmosphere if you're looking for a space filled with tourists and live music. The entire bar is littered with Irish culture and history. Combined with the two separate smoke pits and outdoor seating its a great place to be able to go and enjoy a pint.

I don't know why I had limited expectations for this bar but it was actually really nice and cozy. Despite being full of people on a Tuesday night, we manage to find a place to seat and enjoy a drink. The place's mood is very chill and you can easily spend hours there. Drinks are 4 on average and, as its history mentioned, they have the biggest whisky collection on the world. You must visit this bar and at least have a drink. Highly recommend it.

Nice place but it was so crowded and noisy (literally shoulder to shoulder) that we couldn't enjoy our stay. Feels like it's run by a corporation more than a neighborhood pub. We drank one beer and left.
VERY packed bar, especially for a rainy Sunday night. Two-man band played a fun selection of sing-along standards. Major negative was a drunken young man who spilled a beer and broke a glass all over my wife. But otherwise a fun night.

I was exploring Dublin one night on my own and happened upon The Temple Bar. My night got better from there. Fun atmosphere and excellent music - a real party. If I'm ever back in Dublin I would return in a heartbeat.

The Temple Bar is incredible place to go for live Irish music, beer and (if drunk dance). Place is often busy and full. The bar is among many of famous places in Dublin.
Lovely pub and all.. good live music (pop songs with a folk twist). Charged me 11 for a gin and tonic (beefeater gin - not some high end stuff). Considering ridiculous prices, don't think I will be back in a hurry.
Can t miss it if you visit Dublin. I recomend a pint of Cider, some oysters and enjoying the constant live shows. Magical place
The oyster shooters are amazing! Food is top notch. I suggest going early in the day before it gets too crowded. The patio is nice even when it is chilly out.

The most fun I had at any pub in Dublin! It was packed even on weeknights, had great live music, and drinks weren t too expensive. I thought it would be super touristy, but we actually met a lot of locals there too.

This is honestly such a cool pup to visit as a tourist and i very rarely go to pubs now, but me and my partner went here and the live music and laughter is incredible such an awesome atmosphere! Admittedly the food and drinks are pretty pricey but what do you expect for such a popular place, you might struggle to find a seat but wait around for one as it's definitely worth it.

Honestly this place was beautiful inside and out, but it's always so crowded because of all the tourists and I've heard and saw that this can be a "tourist trap" which means the prices are Way more expensive than other bars and many locals know to avoid going here because the drunker you are the more you're spending and they lift the prices during the night. I would definitely go take pics there because it's a must see location.
It might be VERY touristy but the music was INCREDIBLE! I got to meet the guys and they were SO nice! I really hope to see them next time I'm in Dublin!

Went to this bar with a few friends, a weekend away from a busy London! Loved the atmosphere in here, but be warned the drinks are SUPER EXPENSIVE!! We spent 45 on three drinks - two double g&t s and one large glass of wine. But even though it was pricey, it was worth it too.

MUST go pub! THE most well known pub in Ireland and the place that gave name to the whole area! Please don t miss this place! We went for lunchtime and it was packed but many seats available. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. Food was good (we have 2 different sandwiches and oysters)

Great bar! It was midday on a Sunday and the place was packed ...alittle pricey for a pint and drinks .Was fun all the way around. Make sure you get into the back court yards so many different bars, and hangouts it's makes the place exciting to put down a few.
Such an amazing place no matter what time kf the year you come! I believe it is a lot prettier this time of the year (November) because of the Christmas decorations. It was not packed throughout the day but does get packed in the later evening! You can find live music playing here all day long. Stop in for a drink and mingle with the locals!
