Busy place and long wait times for service. But also, the waiter didn't really seem attentive to us. People that came after us finished way before. And when we tried getting another waiter to do a simple task to get us out faster, like get a "to go box" or get us the check, they refused. I've never seen any restaurant so slow. My Sunday brunch turned into a 3 hour tasting. Definitely not coming back.

I bought two items last night, one was a medium size potato salad. When I got home and tasted the salad it was rotten. It smelled disgusting as if it had days outside. Food should be tasted periodically to ensure it s freshness. Would likely not buy from here again.
Very good experience! It is a great option for those looking typical Dominican food late at night and it's also a great option since they offer a nice variety in their buffet (note: pastel en hoja is not included in the buffet, it is 7 dollars extra!)
Nice people, nice environment, EXCELLENT FOOD... just don't expect it to be a quiet spot as they are always blasting music next door.
I definitely DO NOT recommend this place. If you are a person who really respects and likes to eat healthy food, this place is NOT for you. First, I ordered a churrasco. I had to wait 1 blessed hour to finally eat the order I ordered. To my surprise, when they brought my order it turns out that it was poorly cooked, including a stapler clip. My God, what a mess that place is! To top it off, when I go to the bathroom because I felt bad after eating that food, I listen to the owner of the restaurant, Alberto, speaking badly to his employees. I honestly don't go back to that place anymore. And to top it all, the service is fatal; the photographs that are on the internet do NOT represent what the restaurant really is. I recommend that you better go to the 809 Restaurant that is right there in Dyckman because there they treat people as they should be.
It was a sad excuse for a mofongo. I ordered the chicken mofongo was actually terrible it lacked seasoning and was practically mango with chicken breast on the side for $15...
The restaurant is pretty big and has a bar. It turns into a club at night but a small section is set aside for people who just want to eat. The food is good and prices are average. Their breakfast is my favorite.
Took an hour after getting appetizers to receive the entree. Burger was burnt, whole snapper was over cooked and dry. Waitress was horrible and ignored us and lied abt there being chicken in the rice when it was pork. My friend is against eating pork and waitress said it was chicken. After we ate what we could and went home, everyone got diarrhea. Never again! Also its not 24 hours
The food is consistently fresh and tasty, workers hands out fantastic customer service. I love how clean it is and atmosphere. Would recommend to others.
It is a public place ... Bar restaurant ... where you can choose the food you like in the buffet ... the food is good ... and the bar room is well entertained with a small dance floor ... place for karaoke night also ..
this place is terible never in my life has visited a place that the food was so bad that I even kept quiet I had to leave the place before dismissing the anus and the waitress was terible she forgot the order that I gave her had constant I was remembering what it was and they had dishes that were not brought to my table after we had finished eating. She showed it to me with a plate and I told her I did not want it anymore and they even charged me and the place is not like in the pictures. tables were damaged and dirty that I had to call one of the waitresses to clean them all the place is not as you see in the photos and also all very expensive and very bad food as soon as I got home I went to the bathroom To vomit, I shut up the food so badly. Terible the Service.
Came for breakfast before going to the Met Cloisters and enjoyed a buffet. Stews, yucca, rice, beans & salads. One member of my party ordered a waffle and it was the fluffiest waffle ever. Super convenient -- right beside the subway.
Every now and then I get some food in the mornings from this place. The lady who s usually taking care of me is super nice and welcoming and even remembers exactly what I take. However, at times, I m being rung up by some guy who not only doesn t listen correctly to what I order, but also overcharges me, which makes me leave that place in anger. Today, while I m getting my lunch from the buffet, I had even the cook come out twice and study what was in my containers and then complain to the waitress about it. I had on small container with mashed potatoes from the day before and some beef gravy so that it s not too dry and one small container with soup. Not only did his blatant ignorance leave me with some bad aftertaste, but so did his soup as well. Disgusting to say the least! Needless to say, I won t be getting my food from there anytime soon; unless, they train there male staff in customer appreciation and simple manners. After all, don t they want customers to return because they feel good about their restaurant? A very disappointed customer
Inexpensive food if you are around the area. Mofongo, Mofongo Mofongo. Their signature drink is well made, better than it's more expensive counter part Mofongo House on 182 st and less crowded and cheaper. It has one side which seats like a buffet, but it has a nicer area on the back which has a nightlife dj atmosphere after 10pm.
The place looks clean, the music was good, the food was ok and the customer service was horrible. I'm not sure if our waitress Mildred is not trained appropriate to meet the customer service standards or she was just lazy. She took our order, brought the meals but forgot to ask us what we would like to drink, she messed up the orders, we also order potato salad, found a pice of stainless steel scrub in one of them. I ordered a different salad which she totally forgot to bring it, when she asked me if I wanted it I was almost done with my food. I told her about the piece of metal on my friends' salad and she stated that's normal when in fact it's a very serious manner. Will I come back and eat there? No thanks. Do I recommend this place? Not at all. My only suggestion is use a huge budget to train your employees on customer services training and also training them on food safety course (cross-contamination is one of the process by which bacteria or other microorganisms are unintentionally transferred from one substance or object to another, with harmful effect.
I would give it a 4/10 at best, and it only gets 4 because it was edible. Expensive without reason. The food isn't great, the flavors clash too much, the rice is hard, the pasta is SALTY. I wouldn't really recommend this place to anyone seeing how there's much more options with far greater taste and less price.
I ordered pancakes. Rubbery pancakes. The waitress never gave me my juice and toast. I think the buffet is what you should get here. Stay away from the menu.
I ve been here a few times, the mofongo was tasty but a little cold - I really enjoyed the fried cheese and shrimp platter. I had a seafood soup to go, it was a little too pricey, but they did give us two tubs to go.
The absolute worst customer service!! No one knows anything. Called to make a reservation 5 times the gentleman on the phone kept placing me on hold and then hanging up. Had my friend call and she was told its first come first serve. So its safe to say we never even made to the door. Dont even bother getting the groupon its not worth it.
No Sirve para delivery!! .......Delivery Service last call sucks. Food was cold and missing side order and when I called and spoke with cashier they told me to come down and get my side order cause delivery guy shift was over. Basically, they stay with my side and my money. While I chew on an undercooked rubber steak! Thanks Albert!!.
This place was utterly below my expectations. Sure the idea of an all you can eat latin buffect sounds great. The problem is the food was not good. The meat was very rubbery, dry., unflavored and very poorly cooked. I was very disappointed. Did not taste like authentic Dominican food.
The mofongo is delicious, but it serves only one person too much. In my opinion, I suggest that they lower the price a bit and serve a little less because when I went, I ordered the chicharon mofongo and I had to leave half on the plate. After that everything is fine the atmosphere is very nice and the music is great I recommend it ...
Went there for brunch a while ago with a groupon. The selection from the menu is minimal if you have a voucher, the food is average, drinks are good though they're made with cheap liquor. Music was super loud, forget about carrying a conversation but thats what a dominican brunch is all about.
The brunch was great, one of the few places still offering bottomless sangria or mimosa. The service is great, seldom did I have to look for my server and my drink kept being refilled some times without me even knowing. 2 courses and a desert, plus the drinks, you'll leave stuffed and buzzed. Only thing I didn't like, which may be an attraction for others, was the live DJ making the place into a day club. Hard to have brunch convo when the music is so loud.
