Love this place, excellent dine, service. Very good food. An amazing place to go on a date with family and everybody in between!

Music too loud.. need to wait too long for waiter.. for food order and bill. Will never go back.

Dishonest First they offer you a discounted price and when you are going to pay they charge you another. I ordered a leg and leg and they gave me a cut piece of breast. Ahhh and they told me that I couldn't sit down to eat because they were restaurant policies. So it turns out that it is one who pays and who least benefits. Who is the customer here?

Drinks were great! I had 2x! Chivas Whiskey with Ginger Ale Nice! (my friend didn't want her drink option from our Groupon Deal! Winning! Food was beautifully plated out. The food dressings were a bit odd as they tasted more like veggy juicing vs. veggy dressing if you know what I mean which didn't work well with the meats and tostones. The entree plates were HUGE yet beautiful which they needed to think about when pairing with the small tables they had. Which made it difficult that we had to "borrow" the next table to place our drinks and extra plates.

45 minutes waiting for food. The waitresses were taking a monitor and forgot the request of several that we had to leave without being able to have lunch. I wouldn't give it a star. Disrespect

I placed a simple order rice beans with ox tail and they forget my beans smh it's now been almost an hour and I have yet to receive my beans my food is cold!!..I call them back and they they have the audacity to tell me the delivery guy is making a delivery before he comes to me...Last time I order from you guys!!!

If you're these for the food, you're going to like the options available. The buffer has a lot to pick from. My family and I don't eat meat so we're a bit more limited. Also, if your looking for a place to hang out late at night, Alberto's is the place to go. While most of the restaurants are jam packed, my coworkers and I wanted a place to have some drinks and hang out, and we always ended up at the bar at Alberto's Mofongo House

Spent 15 minutes waiting to get a waiter to come to our table. I had to get up and ask who our waiter was. When he finally came to the table... I asked for us to get water as he took our orders. 25 minutes in to our service and we have yet to receive our waters. Horrible service.

Went there one night with groupon. Music was very loud. Plate was huge and was too big for table. My companions order was not correct and bathrooms were
unusually small probably worse bathroom i've been in and the are for both men & woman. After reading some of the other reviews about meal being over cooked & burnt and a lack of good service i think i will never visit this establishment again.

Always visited this spot for food at the end of the night after partying. I frequent here regularly for the last 5 years or so. Would give a better rating but lately was turned away because I came to the bar area after work at around 1030 pm. My friends and I left dinner in avenue city and wanted to do something local around our neck of the woods.
Even though the bar was sparce, and cold, I decided to enter anyway for a first drink before heading elsewhere. I was stopped at the door by the bouncer because I had with me a bag???.
Yes my Jack Spade work bag was any eyesore. The bouncer told me "we don't allow bags here." I guess having a job now is a punishment. And carrying your work home should be frowned upon. I have never heard of such a policy, and even asked for the coat check especially since its winter. I told the bouncer that he was more than welcomed to look in my bag if he wanted.
So that was a no on the coat check, and a no at looking in the bag... SMH..especially when all I needed was a drink... well I chose that night to take my business elsewhere, And probably will choose to do so indefinitely in the future. It's a shame..

Went to celebrate a Birthday...there was no AC in the lounging area only on your way to the bathroom where bouncer was standing watching the crowd..in other words...the AC is only for bouncers....they obligate you to pay them 5$ coat check even if you choose not to check it in

Don't go there they over charge you for food you did not order, waitress need better training. Make sure to review your check before paying.

I came here at around 8 pm, well before it gets busy. The service was among the worst I have had at a restaurant. I confirmed with a clock that we waited 35 minutes from sitting down until we got our first drink...of water! And the restaurant was about a quarter full. At one point I literally waved at and made eye contact with a server who then walked away. Crazy!

It's very family friendly. There were 3 or 4 little kids running around freely. I had a bunch of kids of my own, so I didn't care.

The food (mofongo) was good. I won't be going back to wait like that again, but would recommend it for takeout.

The food looked excellent., Very bad experience, visit the business. From Massachusetts the waitress tells me that I feel wait about 10_15 minutes they never arrived at our table and they were not so busy. !! (I just left the business. And neither did anyone noticed .manage more attention to this.

I went here and used my debit card ,the guy who took my card ,skimmed the number and emptied my bank account, of course no one knows nothing....I got my money back after months of waiting, but if you go there ,use cash.....

Great place to hang friends and or family. Very good food, large bar and very nice music...Dancing, chilling, fun outy all around.

Love their food...beware of there promotional drinks of the day, they tend to cheat you out of the alcohol you pay for and sugary drinks is what you get with a splash of the zingy stuff Also make sure to ask for the itemized receipt because they will give you the receipt with final charge and a line to add tip ...They dont give the itemized part bc it shows that gratuity has been added. ( We had a table of 4)...all patrons of any restaurant is entitled to both receipts and it will then be under your discretion if extra tip should be added. Plus you may want to go over the receipt bc sometimes mysterious charges get added. The server did a great job in servicing us but I was turned off by their practice of not giving itemized receipt...perhaps it was unintentional...idk. They have a night lounge that starts @12am on the weekends and it's so good. My go to spot for food and a great time.

The music is always good here. The drinks are good. The only thing is the music is way too loud, can t hear your own thoughts here.

My Friday nights usually start at mamajuana and end up mofongos to eat with the crew. Great place for late night meals at a great price. Get yourself some mangu with salami and fried cheese and eat your hangovers away!!

One hookah, 2 drinks equals 80.00 which means 50.00 for 2 drinks. I was upset about the price so I'll admit I didn't leave a tip. But guess what?? They took a 20.00 tip anyway. P.S the waiter took 20 minutes for my order.

Horrible! I was Very excited when I had seen they opened up in the neighborhood, but they are always inconsistent and never on the same page about things. Anytime I call the person on the phone will give me one answer and when I actually appear in person the woman always say oh he s the cashier he doesn t know and always have horrible attitudes!!!

I come for the buffet because it s fresh. Best place for Dominican food at the best price. The Pina Colada is great but weak on the alcohol.

Dominican food buffet open 24 hours. While the restaurant isn't flashy or fancy the food is reasonably priced and tasty. If you're looking for quick, convenient Latin food and you're in the Heights, check this place out.

Of course these guys are amazing. I met Maribel who is the owner and the host. Two of the loveliest people ever! Food was amazing and filling!!!!!

Good (not great) Dominican food. I liked the foods that required minimal seasoning (tostones, aguacate, maduros). My friend was not wild about the chivo (goat) and the moro (rice with pigeon peas) was forgettable - I guess I am very used to the way my mom's food tastes! Good service. I read some of the other reviews about food quality but they DO have an "A" rating.

Great food and it's a neighborhood place . The owner and staff also make a free Thanksgiving dinner for everyone . No charge . Caring people are not easy to find these days . Love it .

As i tell you !!! The worst restaurant I have visited .. Food without taste and thrown on the plate. No presentation .. Nothing, zero !! The service was awful or rather none. The girl gave us horrible service. Not even water. We ask for bread about ten times and we are still waiting for it. I do not recommend that place to anyone. I don't eat McDonald, but before going to "Mofongo House" go to McDonald.
But if it's beer and a Hooka, of course they give you all the attention.

The food was terrible and so was the service never coming here again
