The staff here is very polite. I have brought my car here a few times now and they are quick to get the work done. Ginger the service concierge is very sweet and always willing to help in any way. The last time I came in I needed more than my normal service done and she kept me well informed of what was going on with my car. I highly recommend Modern Toyota

We were looking for a Prius and had the opportunity to work with Alexandra Rice. From the first contact from our request over the Internet via the Costco Auto Program, she answered all of our questions. She was knowledgeable about the hybrid lineup from Toyota and was not your typical pushy car salesperson. What a wonderful experience shopping with Modern Toyota! Once we decided on a car, she arranged to have one brought in that met the colors we were looking for. The process through the finance office was quick and efficient. I would buy from Modern and Alexandra again.

Exceptional service and quality! I have never felt like just another number or dollar. Reno and Shawn have exceptional people skills and really focus on customer equity! Because of people like them, I have been coming to Modern Toyota since 2006 and will continue as long as these types of qualities are part of the core of Modern Toyota!

Donald R. made the car buying experience super smooth and easy. He was very knowledgeable in the types of cars they had, and the RAV4 hybrid. Every question we asked, he had an immediate answer. His customer service is A++
Drove all the way from Durham because of his good reviews. Would definitely buy another car from him/ Modern Toyota in the future.

I purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry from Modern Toyota and the service was exceptional. The staff is very friendly and Modern works hard to make sure their customers are satisfied. When I came to get my vehicle serviced I used a Coupon they had on their website and received a free car wash also. The service team at Modern Toyota had my car serviced in no time.

Gopal approached me immediately as I entered the lot asking if I needed assistance. I first told him I needed time to look and ponder and I would return later. He did not harass me at all and told me to let him know how he could help when I was ready. I returned later and he took me on a test drive of my desired car, and he explained in detail all operations, especially the technical aspects. At all times during my visits, he was very approachable, patient, helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. He answered all questions and assisted with any needs I had, going out of his way to assure I had a most pleasurable experience. I would definitely recommend Gopal as a salesman and Modern Toyota

Everyone is always friendly and ready to serve you to the best of their ability. Eric our service advisor was very professional and very knowledgeable when it came to explaining what was wrong with our sons vehicle. He was a wonderful person and would recommend him to anyone. We have also recommended my sisters-in-law and her husband to this dealership which they did go and purchase a vehicle from them. She told my wife that they had a wonderful experience with them as well. Excellent Dealership.

We are very pleased with the service we receive at modern Toyota winston salem. All of the people are so nice and friendly. The service man explains everything to us,and the lady inside so nice and helpful. The free coffee and water are a added bonus.

Eventhough I decided to buy other brand, I prefer to say the people around, if you buying toyota, this is the place! I have purchased two vehicles here in the past 3 y...

I have purchased two vehicles here in the past 3 years and had a good experience both times. I would recommend skipping the service plan and just do it yourself or take it to a trusted shop. The advisors are always pressuring me to purchase extra services that are not mentioned anywhere in the Toyota maintenance schedule. If you choose to use the dealership keep your maintenance book handy when pulling into the service lane. Any service takes at least 1.5 hours and after my last oil change I had an oil leak from the drain plug. They didn t take the time to change the gasket or inspect it for leaks before it left the shop. I expect a dealer to perform a simple oil change properly and they failed.

I brought my Mom's Camry in a few weeks ago to see if I could get her oil changed. The wait time was a little longer than I had time for, but one of the sales employees was super nice! I wasn't sure where to go, and instead of just pointing it out, he took me around to the service entrance, told me his name (Steven), and asked me if there was anything else I needed help with. Next time we go out of town, we will definitely make the time to get her car serviced at this location - what great service!!!

The service and professionalism here is out standing. The staff were very kind and attentive to our needs. Bought my new Tundra today!. I went in on one day, did a test drive, then did some comparisons on prices and options on other trucks the same day. Called Matt the next day and told him I would take it! He was very knowledgeable. What I like the most is that when they didn't have the color I wanted he said without hesitation-"We will find the color you want with what you want on it and get it here !". As far as I am concerned, that is the utmost in customer service. If you are looking for a superior, easy going yet "get it done" sales guy over there, ask for Matt McDonald!!

My experience with the Service Department was outstanding! They go above and beyond to make sure customers are comfortable and well taken care of. Free shuttle service, beverages, comfortable seating and the level of personal care can't be beat.

I deleted my 1st review because I was contacted by Tommy the service mgr and he was very upset over this experience I had.
Tommy went above and beyond , in my opinion , to do what was needed to make things right.
He had me come back in and work with Erik in service to get the issues I had earlier taken care of.
I am extremely happy with the outcome and will happily be back for service.
Much thanks to Tommy and Erik for going above and beyond to win back a customer.

UPDATE: Nov 8: I'm adding a star because Modern Toyota has contacted me and offered to fix the repairs they missed during their inspection. I will update this post as things unfold.

Nov 6: Disappointed. I brought my 2015 Sienna on July 22 to get a pre-purchase inspection and the tech failed to recognize a bad CV joint. I was changing out the rotors and brakes per the tech recommendation and discovered a build up of grease and dirt on the inside of the wheel and around the CV joint/ball joint. The build up on the driver side CV joint had some age because the wheel with the matching build up had been rotated to the passenger side prior to or during the inspection.

This was my first experience with Modern Toyota so i can't judge if this is the norm, or just a fluke. The tech and staff were friendly.

My experience with Modern Toyota has been incredibly positive. Everyone with whom I interacted when I purchased my RAV4 was kind and helpful, especially my sales consultant, Ryan Bumpass. He is knowledgeable and helpful, and he did not pressure me as I made my decision. It's the best customer service I've had in making an automobile purchase.

If you have the complimentary service at this dealership, you may want to consider taking your car to another Toyota dealership. I have not been able to schedule same day or when I do schedule ahead for another day, I have to spend the whole day there for the service, which seems unreasonable when I am just there, for example, for a tire rotation. There is, obviously, a problem with scheduling and the way that they run the service department. May I suggest a quick lane for your complimentary service appointments, as other dealerships have.

I'm so grateful for Modern Toyota!! I recommend them highly and without reservation! Ginger at the consierge desk was SO thoughtful, professional, and accommodating. We had to wait for my car to be serviced with my baby and she showed me a private location to nurse him, she gave me updates on our repair status whenever I asked, and she made our time at Modern a really pleasant experience! Hats off to Ginger!!! Meanwhile, Stephen who oversaw our repair was incredibly knowledgeable and upfront. I definitely felt very comfortable in his care - I trust that all the services he recommended were absolutely necessary, and I appreciate that he took the time to explain everything and get us out the door quickly! I know my car is safe and reliable thanks to Modern!!

Gopal, Lonnie, and Corrina made car shopping a great experience! I started by shopping online with the help of Corrina. When I came to the dealership to test drive a vehicle she located for me is when I met Gopal. He is such a great salesman. He wasn't pushy and never made me feel uncomfortable, just kind and polite. With credit problems they could have easily turned me away. But Gopal and Lonnie were so patient and worked with me. Because of them I left with a brand new 2014 Rav 4 that I absolutely love. Great service! Great people!

Our salesperson was Gopal Chandarana. We had a lot of questions as we were trying to decide between various cars. Gopal was very kind, informative and patient. He understood what we were looking for and guided us to the best decision. It was nice not having any pressure - just good, honest helpful advice. Following the decision to buy, Gopal has been very responsive and has been an advocate for us. We also met with Judy to talk through financing and an extended warranty for our 2012 Camry purchase. She was very helpful and worked with us. We had a sense of confidence that Modern Toyota is not just looking for a quick sale - they want us to be long term customers. We think you will be just as pleased as we are.

This location, hands down has the best customer service in the service area. I'm here getting a diagnostic done on my car, which takes along time to do. They are so friendly, checking on customers waiting, offering shuttle rides to different places in the community for customers, refreshments. I would totally recommend them to anyone needing their car serviced.

I had been looking to down-size from a much larger SUV to something small for driving (and parking) in the city. I found something I liked on the internet and sent a request for more information in the middle of the night Friday. Saturday morning right about 9am, I received a call about the vehicle and set up an appointment. I worked with Mason Whittaker once I was at the dealership and he was great! By lunchtime, I had traded in my old one for a great new one! I would definitely return for future vehicle purchases!

Had an appointment to have oil changed, new wind shield wipers. While waiting, I checked my platinum warranty. Guess what? It covered my wiper blades! Modern Toyota was not used to dealing with Fidelity insurance, but they did get in contact with Fidelity and took it off my bill. Great service.

I went into Modern Toyota over the weekend to test drive a Jeep, not knowing what to expect. Luckily Wade, my salesman, was cool as a cucumber! He answered all my questions without making me feel rushed at all, he was very patient and attentive to my needs! I felt very comfortable asking him questions and having him take care of a future purchase. I bought the car 2 days later and had a pleasant experience with all the employees I encountered there. The final price was exactly as negotiated and I felt great about my purchase! I'd highly recommend this dealership to my friends and family!

This is by far the best auto service experience I've ever had!

We own 2 used Toyotas and work with the service department on a quarterly basis for maintenance and our cars are running in top operating condition.

Not mention how clean, fast and attentive the team is. My wife and i feel like we truly matter to these guys.

I just purchased a 2013 Venza from Modern.

I just purchased a 2013 Venza from Modern.
It was a easy, relaxed and even enjoyable at times. It was nothing like the stereotypical car buying experience.
I had an amazing team of knowledgeable, respective, and friendly employees.
It started in internet sales with Ashley, who gathered the information and what i was looking for. She kept my constantly updated, and prepared me for when i went into the dealership. When i arrived Marcy showed me the Venza and allowed me to take it to where my wife was working for her to see. When i returned she and Yates went over the details of financing and other features of the car and benefits of the dealership. Through the process I always felt as everything was my decision and never felt pushed or pressured.
This is my first Toyota vehicle, and by the experience I had at Modern. They will be at the top of the list for my future car purchases.

2017:
I stil LOVE my Venza and will always own a Toyota, just from another dealership.

I Made an "appointment" for a state inspection two days ago. When I arrived for the appointment Raymond advised me it would take an hour or hour and a half for the inspection. We I told him I had made an appointment, all I got in response was a shoulder shrug.
I have always liked have my Toyota serviced at Modern, but lately they have been so slow. An hour and half for an inspection seems a bit extreme. On my prior visit it was almost two hours for just an oil change.
Time to find someplace else.

We went inside and the front desk lady asked what we we needed then paged someone. We sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes before my husband had to finally call the person on his phone and ask if we were going to be seen to appraise our vehicle for sale. The guy finally came out and we were told we would have to wait a while longer before someone was available. After another 15 minutes making an hour total of waiting we gave up and left. He had even called ahead and were told someone could see us before we went.
