My experience with Modern Toyota began with Daniel Winemiller, who was a polite and patient help, continued with Alex Rhoades, who was the antithesis of a pushy car salesman, and concluded with me driving off in a Scion that I love. Modern Toyota is not your average car dealership. They are in a league of their own. Over 3 visits, I drove around 6 cars and looked at dozens without ever receiving a heavy handed sales pitch. Modern Toyota was always eager to help, not just sell.

I had a great experience with Modern. I traded in a 2014 corolla for a 2020 Corolla. I received a fabulous deal. I brought it into the service department a week later for them to tint my windows, the service department is very clean and the employees are wonderful. The entire Morten team members that have been involved in this purchase were very nice, and professional. This is the third car that we have purchased from Modern and have enjoyed each purchased. A+++++

bought my tacoma 1 year ago. the truck has been outstanding. however, buying the truck was terrific. the salesperson, Niven B, was straightforward and honest. he gave me true information and did his best to get me what I wanted on the truck, even though toyota has limits on their options to packages. I have been back 4 times for routine service and every time the service department has done a great job. my last toyota went 345,000 miles, and expect this one to do the same.

I recently had my Sequoia serviced for an AC issue...

I recently had my Sequoia serviced for an AC issue with my local dealership Modern Toyota; the following week, my family took a vacation to Florida; on our 3rd day, the AC unit started doing the same thing. I called Ken Forester with Modern in service and he immediately had me to contact a local Florida dealership(Central Florida Toyota) and had the service manager Phillip Thompson to call him. When all was said and done, my issue was resolved the next morning and we were happy campers. Ken Forester of Modern Toyota and Phillip Thompson of Central Florida Toyota did a wonderful job and gave top notch customer service in getting my AC back. Awesome awesome awesome customer service.
Thank you Ken and Modern, my family and I was able to enjoy the remainder of our Florida vacation

I usually have a little anxiety when even looking at cars but I have to say she made the experience the best one I ever had. I highly recommend Chandra and Modern Toyota. Everyone one that we were in contact was great!!

Service Department: This dealership does a great job of serving the customer while it services your vehicle. Their staff are helpful and polite, and the same service person sees you every time you come in. They have a large open waiting room with coffee, waters, and sodas for free. To my knowledge they've never ripped me off or suggested unnecessary work. I'm a loyal customer.

Able to schedule oil change, service was quick and on time. Not impressed with the pressure for additional services at checkin. Service manual lists specific items due but was pressured for non-listed services.

I made an appointment to have the 4 safety recalls performed on my 2007 Tacoma. I got there five minutes early and sat in my vehicle in the service drive for 15-20 minutes before anyone would acknowledge that I was there. Being a master mechanic at a local dealership myself, I was understanding and waited patiently. When a service advisor got my information and took my truck back I proceeded to the lounge. 2.5 hours later the service advisor called me by last name and handed me the invoice and told me I was good to go and stormed off. What peeved me off the most the 4th recall wasn't performed, and I received no multi point inspection sheet, nothing saying the fluids were checked, tire pressures set or anything to that nature. Slow down guys! There's more to life than meeting a quota and chasing the almighty dollar. Make sure your customers are taken care of, and your customers will take care of you.

Terrible, two months ago they told me no recalls, now that is two airbag safety recalls, it took them 7 hours instead 3hours max they told me, they does not do your paper right, my brake pad goes from 8mm to 3mm in 4000 miles, but my tire get thick, from 9 to 10, the resurface job is not good , I can feel the uneven with my fingers, only thing they care is about your money , last time it took they three days , did I mention that ?

I recently purchased a new 2018 HL hybrid from Modern. Not being a local resident, much of the process was done through email. Initially, there was quite a bit of frustration - had to work through four different sales people and several bill of sale statements showed the incorrect tax (I am an out of state resident).

After a somewhat heated phone conversation, I did show up at the dealership to make the purchase. I will admit that the sales manager Mike and Kenny, who wrote up the deal, were very apologetic and did their part to rectify the tax missteps. The in-person portion of my experience was only two hours - great from a car buying standpoint. Kenny was very thorough in walking through my new truck's technology capabilities.

Hopefully, Modern will evaluate the third party vendor who reviews new auto taxes and clean up that process for future customers. In the end, I was pleased with the deal that was made and would consider Modern for future Toyota purchases.

Watched 3 salesman come into the customer lounge a...

Watched 3 salesman come into the customer lounge and decide that the coffee was too old for them instead of fixing a new pot. I fixed a new pot for them and cleaned up the old burned coffee from the pot. Then as the new pot was brewing a porter walks up and mid stream pulls the pot out and fills his cup up and puts the pot back spilling coffee onto the hot plate so I cleaned that up for them. Then a lady salesman walked up and looked at us and asked us if coffee was burning. While all of that was happening salesmen were taking diet cokes out of the customer fridge. Holy CRAP! If that were my business I would have fired four people in the span of about an hour. This place is a disgrace to Toyota. I wasted my time going in there to start with.

One of the absolute worst experiences I ve had with a dealer. I was looking for an out the door price quote and wouldn t even be given one without assuring them I d purchase with them. I felt very pressured by the salesman in just the emails alone. Then when I sent the price to beat from another dealer I never heard anything back after being assured they would definitely beat them. I even sent follow-up emails and still never got a reply. Very disappointed. I d rather take my business to another dealership who has a better price and actually treats their customers with dignity rather than pressure and anger.

Thank you to sales and leasing consultant Donald Robertson.. I just bought a GREAT SUV!
From start to finish I could not have had a better experience. I ended up purchasing the new 2020 Rav4 Hybrid Toyota XLE after much deliberating before going to the dealer to look at the cars. At 1st I was looking at a Highlander- but as I told the sales consultant, Donald Robertson, I quickly realized I did not need a 3rd row seat and asked what might he show me that was a little bit smaller.
While still the size of my Lexus RX 300---- which I ended up trading in----- after a number of years of owning the car.
Donald led me to the Rav4 section pointing out the gas versions and the Hybrid versions!!!!!. I had not even thought of getting a Hybrid vehicle.
The reviews on this car are phenomenal by the way. You can't beat a Toyota I learned long ago since I got my license many years back and that is pretty much what I have owned from the very beginning.
I described what I wanted and even the color I preferred and it just so happened to be right there on the Modern Toyota Car lot.
That was wonderful!!! The inventory is huge.
I took the hybrid for a test drive and it drove beautifully.
Donald Robertson was extremely easy to deal with and up front with suggestions following my lead and somehow knew exactly what I needed.
I am so thankful that I got this car and just drove it home this evening. It was not a difficult experience as I had anticipated purchasing this car in one afternoon. It was a great experience in fact...
Plus I decided to upgrade to the leather seats option.. They look absolutely beautiful!!

I feel like I got a very fair deal and I also highly recommend Donald Robertson in the future if anyone wants to feel as if they are being taken care of in a professional, caring and knowledgeable manner. And someone who promptly returned calls and answered my 100,000 questions!!!!!
And thanks to Mark Coplon, the F&I manager to whom I gave my check..

This is the third Rav4 I have purchased from Modern. I keep coming back because the service is outstanding. They are always friendly and helpful and super easy to work with. I appreciate that a service manager always goes over the work they do on my car with me to ensure my satisfaction and that I keep returning.

Had an appt for a standard oil change at 10 am. Upon arrival, was offered a complimentary car wash. I said heck yeah because my truck was dirty. 12:30 pm rolls around and truck still not done. I was told they should be pulling it around any minute. Finally ready around 1pm and, to my surprise, no car wash. 3 hours for an oil change?? Tried to call service manager twice and no call back. I guess customer service and speed aren't your strong suites. Guarantee that I will never be back! Absolutely ridiculous!!

I love this dealership! I've bought 2 vehicles from them! Andrew Robinson is awesome!!!! But for the service department is a different story!! ANYTIME I come for an oil change appointment or not your going to be here for at least 2 or more hours!!! Just like now, I had an appointment this am, I had my car here @9:15am it's 11:30 & it's still not done!!! And all I'm having done is an oil change THAT'S IT!!!

I came in yesterday to purchase my very first car... I had looked online and found the car I was very interested in, so came down to look yesterday. As soon as I pulled in, David Kecki came and greeted me I told him I was there to look at a car I seen online. He helped me every step of the way. He went absolutely above and beyond to make my first car buying experience so wonderful. Nothing was rushed, talked to me as if I was a friend. The experience I had yesterday with Modern Toyota will make me a lifelong customer. You guys are very lucky to have such a great employee. If I ever need anything again, I will be back Or if anyone ask, I ll say go to Modern Toyota and you will be taken care of.

I filled out an online inquiry about two 4x4 Tacoma s Modern Toyota had for sale on their website. Rather quickly, a customer service agent called me to set up an appointment to come see them. When I arrived at the allotted time, a sales agent told me that they did in fact have the Tacoma s on the lot but they had been pre-sold. I had just driven 30 minutes to come see the vehicles and felt it was a bait and switch just to get me to show up to the dealership. The agent said that they should have told me they were pre-sold.
I said they shouldn t be listed for sale on the website if they were presold and/or someone should have told me before the appointment was set up.
I would not recommend Modern if you want a fast and easy online service.

Great experience. DEFINITELY will recommend ANYONE to purchase a car from them. They were helpful and courteous, and treated us better than any other dealerships did. They surely went above and beyond to get us the car we needed.

Full disclosure: we went to a competing toyota dealership closer to our house who offered us the same car for the same price, but when we got there, they wanted to charge us a little bit extra and give us less than quoted for our trade-in, so we did not purchase the car from them. Later we received a note from Michelle at Modern Toyota who asked us how everything went with the competing dealership, to which we explained what happened and she let us know that that is NOT how Modern does business and if we would like to come to her dealership, we can get the same price (both for the car and our trade), even though it was a couple of days later and the month-end had closed.

We were in there this morning and purchased the car from Modern and are very satisfied with our experience. We WILL be back to purchase our next Toyota and will never go to another dealership again!

Omg I brought a car here and the service was awesome! They re done renovating the place and everything is amazing. The services is great! every staff here is friendly and helpful. I have maintenance check today and Ray Jones is awesome! He also help getting my car inspected for plate renewal. and I don t mind staying here and wait lol this place is clean, spacious, offer free drinks, room for kids. There s individual waiting desk where you can charge ur phone. Comfy chairs omg LOVE this place. Highly recommended.

I just purchased a Toyota Scion TC, and I love it! My salesperson was Nancy Smith and she was awesome to work with! She was friendly and informative and I couldn't have imagined buying from anyone else. I had visited other dealerships in the area with that pushy (let me ask my manager if we can do better) and that is a huge turnoff for me, I just want easy and straightforward. Everyone was so friendly to me! I highly recommend buying a car from Modern Toyota!!!!!

11/18/17 - Third and Final Update (see below for two previous updates). Modern's reply indicated they would have someone contact me to arrange delivery. That was an absolute like as I still have heard from no one. This company doesn't do what they say they will do. I will take my service to flow. I feel like buying a car at Modern was an absolute mistake.

Initial post -

Buying the car was a good experience. Immediately after the sale...kept us way too long to put the long hard sale on us for the extended warranty. Had a sun shade break on the car...the part that just hangs in the cargo area to shade the back. I drove out there and the service guy told me they would order it and call me when it arrived. Simple part...like a floor mat. They called a couple weeks later and said for me to come by and get it. When I drove out there is when they listed the other requirements to get the part. They would need to install it and make sure I know how to use it. I explained that the car was loaded and it couldn't be installed and that the guy didn't tell me that I would have to do all this They wouldn't work with me at all. Wouldn't offer anything for my inconvenience. Just kept saying "let's do it right the first time". I told them this was the "first time" that they had screwed up and they should cooperate with me so I don't have to drive out there again. They refused and told me "either do it right the first time or don't get the part". Huh? Very frustrating after the sale experience for sure. Immediate "policy" attitude which is obviously not in favor of the customer. Booooooooo!!! Get it together!

Update on 10/14/17 - I appreciate the intentions stated in Modern Toyota's reply...but I have yet to hear from anyone at all regarding them delivering the part. I will continue to provide updates here.

UPDATE 10/27/17 - I still have heard from no one and have seen no one. Absolute contrast to what they offered in their reply to my initial review. Sad.

I was thinking about purchasing a new car, so I decided to go to Modern Toyota. I have to say it was the best car buying experience I have ever had!! Martin and Daniel (and he had the best hair) were wonderful to work with!!! When buying a new car, yes it is a long process, but dare I say I actually had fun while I was there. Everyone there was great. This is my first Toyota, but probably won't be my last! Five stars for Martin and Daniel and everyone else there!!

This visit was very pleasant. I asked if I could have the complimentary car wash after the oil change, they said it would be taken care of. I also ask them to make sure that a human of reasonable strength would be able to loosen the luge nuts on the wheels. I was promised they would not be tightened beyond the specific settings. I ve had problems in the past with the luge nuts being so tight that a special tool had to be used. Therefore causing a unnecessary replacement of new luge nut replacement.

Bought a pre-owned car from Gopal Schandara at this dealership a few weeks ago. Was extremely pleased with his assistance throughout the process. He was honest and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. The only issue I had with my experience at Modern Toyota was that some of the mechanical issues with the car should have been taken care of before putting the car up for sale, as I ended up having to handle those issues after the fact. Though they did take care of most of them free of charge, it should have been taken care of without my intervention. Also, I had my mechanic check the car before I purchased it and he found that the transmission fluid had not been changed in a long time and that it could use a change. The management refused to change it saying that it wasn't needed. Again, overall my experience with the dealership was good, however it could have been excellent if they had taken care of the issues that I feel should have been handled before the car was put up for sale.

On my first visit to the dealership, I met Ricky and he showed me a Camry, a Prius and a Corolla and we discussed the features and some of the options with each style. We drove a Camry. Ricky provided a price and I left to drive other cars. I returned a week later to drive the Prius and Camry. Ricky also suggested the Camry Hybrid. We drove all three, and Ricky patiently walked me through the options as we compared the vehicles. I purchased a new Toyota XLE Hybrid. Great experience.

Reno was extremely helpful, courteous, and thoroug...

Reno was extremely helpful, courteous, and thorough. He made sure he explained everything prior to dropping the car off and when I picked it up. He called to inform me of additional repairs that needed to be done. I was able to borrow a loaner car, which helped save me time as the service was quite extensive. I have 121 k miles on my car, and I plan to keep it a while longer so the work was expensive but worth it.

Sales manager went above and beyond to help me overcome very difficult situations I was dealing with, such as current financial difficulties I'm dealing with with as well as a very rude loan officer from my lender. They stayed patient with over 6 hours of difficulties my situation presented, and they were able to get me into a 2017 Rav4 that I love. The day before, a friend of mine bought a 2015 Outback from them which after closely shopping around for the best overall deal, which after seeing how well that went, made me want to come back and do business there as well. Highly recommended, would definitely repeat business!!!

Kenny Waters was great to work with. I felt like he went above and beyond to help me get into the car I wanted at the price I was comfortable with. I was waiting for the car I was interested in to arrive from port. I was wanting a 2020 with the 0% financing special that was going on. There was a bit of a mix-up somewhere down the line and the car that arrived was actually a 2021, which did not have the same 0% financing option. However, they made adjustments so they could honor the pricing I was given for the 2020 model. Kenny took the time to really go over the features of the vehicle and said I could call him if I had any questions. Mo was also great at going over and explaining all the paperwork. Overall great service!

I am extremely happy with my car and the services they provided. Other dealerships could learn a thing or two from these guys at Modern Toyota. Thank you again!
