When I have my car serviced here what makes the wait tolerable is the awesome Concierge service provided by Modern. They make sure you have a beverage if needed along with making sure your shuttle is setup for you if you re not waiting. Thanks for making the wait a little more comfortable.

I have been doing business with Modern Toyota for 15 years. However, this did not seem to matter at all due to the unacceptably poor service received yesterday. I had an appointment at 4:30 for an oil change and tire rotation, something I have been going there for years to handle. I was directed to pull into the garage area. I sat in my car for 15 minutes before anyone came to check me in. I was finally checked in and shown to the waiting area, as I always wait for my car to be serviced, because it has never taken longer than an hour in the past. This time,however, I was there a total of 2 hours and 20 minutes before my car was finished. Again, this was only for an oil change and tire rotation! This was completely unacceptable to me, and I certainly did not feel like a valued customer. I have much better things to do with my time than with for 2 hours and 20 minutes for an oil change!. I will not be coming back in the future for either service to my car, or to purchase a new vehicle, nor would I recommend any family and friend to use Modern Toyota. Modern Toyota has just lost a loyal customer of 15 years.
This is my fifth new car purchase five years and this has by far been the best experience I have ever had with a dealership. Zero haggling (you heard it right) they gave me more for my trade and the price tag on the new car was less than what I was hoping to pay. I was in total shock! They really seemed like they cared and I believe from first contact with my sales rep Dan Perry to walking out the door in my new car took 3 hours (and most of that was me trying to get them documents the lien holder required). Dan Perry was very professional and not pushy at all. I really feel like he listened to what I wanted. I will purchase another Toyota and it will be at Modern Toyota.
Concierge is so friendly!! They were pleasant greeting us upon arrival. The facility is updated, and very clean. 4 stars because we were considering a new lease but were not approached by any sales representatives!
This was our first purchase from Modern. We have looked at Modern in the past, but always had a bad experience. We had only intended on test driving the car we liked and going somewhere else to buy, but due to the salesman(Lewis Hall) not being pushy, and very much likeable, and only having to negotiate once ( which is a record for my husband), we bought!!! We have a very different outlook now about Modern Toyota!!!

When i reached there manager/sales person told me $ 21,000 Waste of my gas and time from burlington to winston!! Rice toyota is better than this

Picked up my brother's truck after he left it the evening prior for routine service (oil change, tires, 60k service, inspection). Arrived an hour after the agreed time the truck was to be ready, ended up waiting an additional two hours. Person checking me out at the end was apologetic about it, but I can't imagine the absurdity of taking a vehicle here regularly.

I have been taking my car to Modern Toyota for service for close to 2 years now and have always received excellent service. Modern employees are so nice!
Can't speak for the service dept or body shop, as I only dealt with sales. Very unprofessional and sub par service. If you have another Toyota dealership within an hours drive, I'd reccomend you start there.
After renting a car from Moderns rental service, they gave me additional charges. When I received the vehicle, it obtained license plates and the previous renters name and paperwork along with not spotless as they expect it to be returned. I kept the plate in the car and returned it as I returned the vehicle.
After I returned it, they tried to charge me a additional $400 fee. As I tried to call there management, Jim Butler refuses to return any calls. When I went to dealership to speak to him Rick ( Manager ) was helpful as to relaying my information to Jim and he assured me that Jim would call me as soon as possible, but I still got no call.
They clearly gave me a unclean car but they charge me for there failure. I used to respect Modern until there poor leadership and bad business.

There was a girl who works there in the service lane, She got in my face when I pulled up obviously on somthing, Then after I was helped by a service writer she got in my car and drove off after almost hitting the wall and other cars. If the person in charge didn t know he must be blind. I have a concern for my car and the people who work there. Will not be back
We were on our way to Knoxville, TN from Durham, NC when our check engine light came on while on I-40. Google directed us here, since it was the closest dealership.
I have been pleasantly surprised by our visit. Our service adviser has kept us apprised of our situation. The waiting area provided us with lunch and snacks. And the shuttle driver regularly comes in to ask if anyone needs a ride. Everyone has been very friendly and empathetic.
If we lived in the area, we'd definitely come back!
Once again we had a great experience renting from Modern Toyota Rentals. Took a 2019 Rav 4 to Gatlinburg and back. Needed a bit more space than my Accord offers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Generally good service, with helpful service advisors. Biggest negative: I was sent a text asking about service quality. My main complaint: I DON'T LIKE TO BE TEXTED ABOUT ROUTINE BUSINESS MATTERS SUCH AS SURVEYS ABOUT SERVICE QUALITY.

It was the perfect service appointment. I was early, 15 minutes, and they staff addressed me by name, which to me says they were well aware of where they were in their day. I put my keys in the cup holder, and headed to the comfort of the Lounge. Checked out the cars on the floor, watched a few minutes of what was on TV, and looked through a catalogue that was there, and in no time the young lady came to get me. I arrived at 315, and was at home in Mocksville by 4. And it was FREE. It does not get any better.
Donald Robertson is the best salesperson ever. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. In no way did I ever feel pressured. My mom and I were so impressed with the experience, we both bought cars on the same day! This was after we had just left another dealership down the road. The facilities are nice and the free Cokes are much appreciated. If you are in the market for a car, go see Donald and you won t be disappointed!
Took a RAV4 there to find out why the electronic aids I'm not sure if it is the abs or traction control but the vehicle likes to hit the brakes hard in a curve on dry pavement for no reason. The technician that I talked to said nothing is wrong with those systems but from my experience being in that vehicle when it goes into retard mode I know something is wrong. One day the oil fill cap came loose and I could hear excessive amount of blowby in the engine which slightly scared me because I have never heard that much blowby from any other vehicle. So I asked the technician about the excessive blowby and the technician refused to answer but he dodged my question by responding with you should not take the oil cap off while the vehicle is running. I have read many complaints about Toyotas having electronic aids problems where the vehicle would brake for no reason and excessive blowby Because the engine was not engineered correctly

This recent purchase is our 7th car we have purchased from Andrew Robinson with Modern Toyota. We have purchased 3 cars for our kids and just turned in a 2015 Rav for a 2016 4runner. We were not planning on that but have always wanted a 4runner and Andrew is such a great salesman! He is the only sales person we use at Toyota . We always recommend him Because he is friendly knowledgable about Toyota and doesnt pressure you to buy!!! He is the best! We will probably be back in a couple years for our 8th car!!! Service department- scheduled oil change, took over 90 minutes waiting. Nice waiting area, but seemed to be extremely long wait, especially with kids in tow.
From start to finish it was a pleasure working with the people at Modern. We chose this dealership because of it's excellent customer reviews. Once contacted by Michael Lane about the RAV 4 I was looking at, I knew immediately after talking with him, I would want to do business with this dealership. He did the leg work for me and we found what I was looking for. My sales person was Marcy who was very knowledgable, engaged with us as buyers and worked hard for us getting the best deal we could get on this car. Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars. Downright horrible place to deal with, service and sales. Had a car still under warranty and was made to pay 1500+ for a faulty lock that was no more that a year old, along with being told it will be 200+ for my car to just be looked at. Do not buy a car from here.

I have been here for over 2 hours and no one has come talk to me. Even had an appointment. All they are supposed to do is oil change and tire rotation. And they are trying to tell me this is normal. I have been here and modern Toyota in Greensboro without an appointment and have been done and gone faster. Ridiculous!

Just bought a 2013 Prius and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I liked how the salesman was helpful and the finance agent was very nice and made this a pleasant experience. Only disappointment was the 150 point inspection for the certified Toyota option. They missed that the mirror turn signal was not working and the latch for the rear pick-up bed window fell off. I paid 750.00 extra to have the vehicle certified.
My appt. was at 9:30 am and I got there a little early. I was told they were behind and I said no problem, I'm not in any hurry. They serviced my car so quick I didn't finish drinking my coffee. lol Great service, now that's what I'm talking about! !!!

Took my Prius in for a standard tune-up. Ran perfectly going in, paid almost $700 for the tune-up, which is ridiculous in the first place, but to add to the frustration by the time it got home it could barely run. Had it towed back to make sure they put everything back together properly. And they got back to me with an estimate of over 3k to fix the problem. I won t slander their name by calling them con artist, even though it is probable, but if they are not cons, then they are awful at their job, and not honorable enough to own up to their mistakes.
Either way, I will not trust them with my car again and neither should you.
They also offer rewards for reviews, so pay attention to details.
Comfortable and clean waiting area, friendly service, and kept us informed.

I just bought my 3rd new car from modern in 3 years. I just traded in my 2012 Tacoma in for a 2014 sport. As luck would have it, as we were still in the lot I could not see the fence in front of me from over the hood and hit it. I scuffed and slightly dented the bumper. Marcy my sales person, and Daniel the finance guy came right out and jumped right on it. Daniel had it cleaned up with 15 mins except for the dent obviously.
I left feeling terrible about denting a brand new truck. They called me before I was a mile away and told me to bring it back in the morning and they would see if it can be fixed. They gave me a rental for free and by the afternoon I was told they were replacing the bumper.
Words cannot express the thoughtfulness and professional customer service Marcie, Daniel and the modern team provided me. They did not have to do that and I am so impressed. I am a client for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
