Mlk skate rink Review

I use to love this entertainment place until it became unruly and to crowded they have enough space to expand the facility. That would be a great idea more space bring more profit

Music was great but food and games need serious upgrading. My cheese fry was burned and pizza not good at all. The kids didn't even eat. Had 2 buy Popeyes after the birthday party.

So much fun! The staff was professional, the floor is spotless and the bowling is super affordable. I'll be coming back with my kids and fam next week!

Kids had fun, my host was very polite and helpful. We will be back. Just need to fix the games there.

My babies won a game and it didn't fall. Not only that it was a Birthday party and we couldn't get in and the walkwau wasn't clean from the snow. They dont even deserve that. A 1 that is

The staff was great the price was awesome. We had the rink to ourselves for 2 hours. The kids had a ball and the parents felt that the private setting was awesome considering this VIRUS

The Dj is God awlful.I love house music..but if you guys want to increase your number on Tuesday play skate music not house music. Need to more in tune to that instead of pleasing him self! Why are security guards there are so rude. They all need to be in a course on how to handle the various different customers who comes there there's a group who are teenagers you deal with them accordingly then you have that up a group of people who are 25 35 and 40 and older you treat them with a different respect and you do the teenagers they need to know how to accommodate the various crowds that you guys can possibly get

It was nice and relaxing had alot of fun in the bowling section but the security guard was very unprofessional and aggravating

I check out the reviews and i thought it was very stupid the manager only contacted the peope who said they had a great time and didnt dicuss to anyone with other needs!!!

Bad service it took me a hour to get my food and they didnt give me all of my food plus the pizza was cold

My sons have fun there but the service is not the best

There was no bowling the day I went. Need more games and a better system for counting tickets won on the games. Overall my grand daughter had a good time.

I've been coming to this place for years I've had all my kids a birthday party I've even had my own 80s party here before but after today I promise I will never be back. The young lady Calissa was so rude to me today I her job should be taken away from here. Customer service is everything and this young lady was TERRIBLE!!!!!!

Came with kids on a summer camp field trip. The music was way too loud for me, but then I'm an old woman, lol. The campers enjoyed themselves which was the most important thing.

Music was horrible the dj played all rap underground mixtapes that i never heard so my vibe was thrown off. High security which made it safe security is strict but that is needed because if they werent therevi would not feel safe. I hated the music they were better off just letting w.g.c.i play or B96 really couldnt enjoy myself it was pretty dead.

It was mostly a nice experience, but the workers were quite rude to me and my friends. Otherwise, we had a lot of fun.

I came when they first opened on a Friday at 4pm. The young lady at the concession stand was very attentive and courteous. It's a nice facility offering skating and bowling as well as games. The facility is very clean. It's a nice open floor plan so you can see everything and everyone.

Horrible server and customer service experience
Brought out food with no plates, brought out drinks with no cups, brought out our ice cream 5 minutes before we were put out, game machines malfunctions, just an overall bad experience

We enjoyed our self, music was for the young kids, but hey they loved it, food wasnt bad, skates was available, and over all environment was smooth

This was our first time here. I wasn't sure what to expect but we got a great park on the street, although they have a parking lot. With the snow I guess the crowd was small. The rink wasn't particularly as large as where we usually go, but I like being able to see the whole rink from the many seating areas. The food was okay and priced as I'd expect. I will check them out again. The kids had a nice time.

It seems like a good neighborhood skating and bowling for family fun also they have Security checks point for all the family safety also birthday parties available

On weekends it gets a lil wild outside and security has to always clear the front. Lots of teens

Skating was crowded and I ordered chicken tenders and it took 40 minutes

UPS drop spot. Variety of shopping, lottery, quick Mart, liquors. A bit pricey but convenient.

I just came from the skating rink and it was okay it gave me a chance to get out of the house the food isn't that good though but besides that it was overall decent.

I booked the Classic Birthday Package (Skate and Bowl) for my daughter's 10th Bday on a Saturday 8/4/2018 , 3:30pm-6:30pm. I was able to use the discount that they were offering so that was great. The staff seemed nice but the overall customer service experience was disorganized. The DJ did not do a shout out for my daughter, in fact there were like 3 other Bday parties going on and I did not hear one single shout out from the DJ. It seem as though the staff didnt know which package I booked so I had to explain it to them dispite having my confirmation receipt with me. The cheese pizza's were really good but my second pizza took over 2hrs to come after the 1st pizza(and our host was passing out pizzas to the other parties like forget us or something). The host of our party was really sweet but I literally had to hunt her down for every little thing which took away skate time from my party(and Iam pregnant). In my opinion there shouldnt be a host if they are not going to check up on you ever so often and assist u as needed (for example no pitchers of water were offered and the kids were really thirsty after the soda was gone). The skates seemed uncomfortable to my guests(but very few of them knew how to skate anyway lol) and the bowling lanes were malfunctioning (but the kids still managed to have fun). If I come here again I would NOT book a party because its a waist of time/money considering we werent treated as special as they advertised. I would just bring the kids on a discount day ($1 day or free day), get a slice of cheese pizza and let the kids practice skating a bit.

Friendly fun indoor rink to take kids or skate yourself. You can rent skates for people of all sizes.

It's not the best of the best but you do have to appreciate it... Maybe someone will donate new skate

I am always grateful for their professionalism. I am proud that many of the teenage employees maintain employment for multiple years.

These youngsters learn hosting, hospitality, management, inventory, marketing, and how to deal with numerous personalities under pressure. God Bless You All.

My family has been here three years now celebrating birthdays.

I didn't like anything about this place, it was overbooked, crowded and very expensive with a lack of professional services you're suppose to receive. When i got there for my party 15 minutes prior to decorate, i was assigned an inexperienced party host, who had no knowledge of decorating a simple table, or hosting a party. She appeared upset and throughout the duration of my party, she was pretty much out of sight the entire time, my party didnt receive anything i paid for until i finally put up a fuss and then came the cart of pizza that was served with major attitude and with only 45 minutes left to eat and sing Happy Birthday, my cotton candy tower and nacho platter was also served at the same time, so we had to stuff all that down with minutes to spare for cake and icecream, and when my baby made it home he threw up tremendously, im so sure it was because of how fast we had to eat everything then hurry and leave, we were literally shut down and thrown out, this is the last of my business this place will ever receive!!! I asked for a manager 3 times and never saw one, might i add the security guards were very rude, i mean we are dealing with 6 year old children, they were ready to tackle at any moment.....Needless to say as ive read other reviews, the owner only responds to the ones that say they liked this ghetto overrated, overcharged place!!! I'll be contacting corporate and the Better Business Bureau IMMEDIATELY, What did i pay almost $300 for????

I was there to reserve a bowling alley for a group. They were very prompt and helpful. I also appreciate the young lady in the office smiled and said thank you and have a nice day. Customer service is a good thing and they at least give you a good experience.

The children had a ball. I love that protective gear was supplied with the skates. The staff was courteous. However, the PA system is inaudible and the food service is very slow.

Went on a field trip with my daughters school. The kids had a blast. Also a really great place for them to learn how to skate if they don't know.

Loved my host not to please with the venue party was bad tokens but not even ten whole working games...

I just think that just because you are located in the (hood) does not mean every ones attitude has to reflect. There is a way to inforce the rules without being so nasty. I use to take my daughter there for lessons, and one day I had my 11year old son with me. He was not skating however I had to pay for him to sit in with me. I dont have to pay for myself to sit but I had to pay for him. Greedy and overpriced. Needless to say we dont go any more. Its a shame when you have to leave your neighborhood for fun. I refuse to be overpriced and underappreciated trying to support the African-American community. And to the owner you need to take a minute and come undercover and check out your place.#wehurtourselves. Almost everyone in this area is trying to make a dollar out 15 cents. Businesses look out for your community.

Horrible experience! Staff is rude, the security guards are very disrespectful! I will never go there again! And I will also encourage all of my friends not to go there! Lombard skating rink is so much nicer, better service, it's a drive but it will save you the nightmare of going to the mlk skating rink

I hosted my 3 year old a party here on 2/22/20. The party host they assigned me was outstanding she did an awesome job. However, I was so agitated with the overcrowding of the place. The tables are crammed together. Idk how many parties were being hosted at that time but it was outrageous. I felt liked we were packed sardines. You could barely move between the tables. I was very uncomfortable and was so ready to go. I assume the kids enjoyed it. Not again.

Love this place not only for kids but adults as well.

My took the kids their and treated badly by the staff and told to leave a hour before they closed. They told since she paid for th he food then they had to give it to her but was told she and the kids could not sit down to eat but had to take their meal with them. This was her first and last time going here. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience.

I really didn't get a chance to get the entire feel of the place. I actually arrived late for a bday party. But what I saw was chaos. Mall cops shouting very loud and disrespectfully to a lot of patronents that spent alot of money to be there. A kind word goes a long way than a rude 1..IJS

It's was not a bad experience just not as live as I thought it would be. Still somewhere u can take kids every now and then.

This place has so much potential. The owner needs to freshen up the inside. The bathrooms are gross, the staff requires extra training in customer service and the menu could be refreshed.

Safe and fun setting for a Family outing! Reasonable pricing, Great for a group outing also. Get your excercise on roller skates or sharpen your skills on the bowling lanes.

It was fun and nice for the kids. The music was nice and age appropriate.

Our school visits annually for a field and today was our annual Skating/Bowling STEM Skate Party. The staff was courteous and attentive to the needs of our middle schoolers. The scholars enjoyed themselves and the experience was well worth our money and time.
