Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort Review

Very nice place to spend time specialy with the family long sray staff also very nice behaviour and great hospitality

Not even deserving of one star.
Arrived at night from a 4 hour long drive. Only to be told by a very sassy receptionist (Noor) that the booking is very last minute and that we wouldn t be able to get it even though the booking was done 72h prior. The worst way to be welcomed into a 5 star hotel. Not to be done again. Additionally was given restrictions over visitors with no explanation what so ever.
The only decent staff member was a wonderful understanding bellman god bless him

A very nice Moroccan style hotel with a very large pool, 3 restaurants and several bars. The rooms are well equipped and do not miss anything. Also the food is high quality and delicious.

Disadvantage: free internet only in the lobby, otherwise extremely expensive. I recommend a SIM from DU or Etisalat. There are no shops in the area, so it is worth all inclusive or soft all inclusive.

Staff in the breakfast Lounge are very Helpful, so as welk as other waiters by the pool.

At five does not pull, but in general the service at the level, everyone is very friendly.

This place is the best of what's around it, the servaces are amazingly good, every day there is a live show, a bunch of activities by the pool, diving classes, and a lot more.
The rooms are very clean, quiet, very practically arranged and organized, and everything is easily accessible.
The smile you get once you enter by the people I. Kandora right by the front gate is a very accurate description of what to come.
Try kayaking around snoopy Island it's a calming experience.

Bean there twice and planning on going there more and more.

This place is so nice it has a lot of activities since it had pools and hot tubs we stayed other 2 days the staff were really kind and helpfull they had a lot activities such as jet skiing and snorkeling was a great activite they also had Donghat rides

I stayed at this place for 4 days with a group of people to attend an event in February.
This is a beautiful place with beach on one side & mountain on the other.

I had fractured my foot and could not walk much hence was provided assistance with cabby or wheelchair. I wan to mention Naresh, Oya who helped me.
In the restaurant too I was given special attention by Vishal & Jen.

The service of staff was extraordinary from the cabby, receptionist to the restaurant.
Great experience indeed !

Everything is fine, except for the Internet: low speed and Wi-Fi coverage is weak.

The transfer from and to the airport in Dubai with an air-conditioned minibus in about two hours went very well.

Very nice hotel complex in the Arabic style. Large garden with a huge pool, plenty of loungers and parasols, as well as a pool bar, showers, toilets, changing rooms and two towel stations.
Next to the pool there is an Italian restaurant with a bar and a kiosk for delicious ice cream.

Large, well-tended, kilometer-long sandy beach with wonderful access to the warm Indian Ocean. In October we had 30 degrees water and 35 degrees air temperature. On the beach there is also a shower, changing room, toilet, a terry toweling station and a large bar as well as a water sports and diving station. Always enough pool chairs and umbrellas that belong to the hotel and are included. Service with the couches is offered.

In the main building there is an office at the entrance of the concierge and you think that is the reception, but there is no reception in the arrival hall. That is the bizarre, hidden by winding paths in the back area, not easy to find on arrival is the reception.

In the main building there is a large buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a large lobby with a bar and plenty of seating. Everything is fully air-conditioned. Also a Thai restaurant.
The food in all restaurants is very good and adapted to local conditions. The selection at breakfast is good, but unfortunately there were always the same sausage and cheese, little fruit and no dates. All Inclusive Plus is an advantage because of the extremely expensive drinks. Oct. 2019 a can of beer 10, - half a liter of water 5, - etc.
The entire staff in the bars, restaurants, at the pool and on the beach is extremely friendly and courteous.

In the outbuildings, quiet, large rooms with a large bathroom, good air conditioning, safe, minibar and balcony. The rooms are very clean and everywhere in the area the whole area is constantly being cleaned and maintained.

Various trips to Fujairah, Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, etc. are offered.

The only not nice experience:
After we found the reception, we were not greeted, just asked for our passports. We arrived in the morning after a night flight. We were only informed that the rooms would be ready from 1 p.m. and that we could not have breakfast but lunch. We did not have the option of having breakfast for a fee or, as in other hotels, a refreshment or a welcome drink after the long and exhausting journey. We were only offered to change in the spa for the time being if we want to go swimming and to keep the suitcases. That's it We have never experienced anything like this as a welcome.
That should definitely be improved!

The nice stay, the beautiful grounds and all the nice and always friendly staff in the service area made us quickly forget this experience when we checked in and we definitely recommend the hotel to others.

We love the hotel. Very nice. Have been there three times. The staff is so adorable and scary person. We have never experienced such an atmosphere anywhere. Goods 2017 in Abu Dhabi. It was not a comparison. Come back to Al Aqua Brach Rest in 2018

Hotel beautifully located, right on the beach, mountain view. On the premises quite large swimming pool with bar, spa. Rooms comfortable, quite large. Delicious food. Full professionalism of employees. recommend

I think you should pay more attention to the guests! Agreements are not adhered to. We were here for 14 days. Every day was a complete disaster. Never again and not recommended.

Absolutely a brilliant place to stay with family or friends... lovely service.. clean and smooth operation through out.. the restaurant La Cucina is a must try for authentic Italian food .. the rooms are nice and comfy..kids enjoyed the pool.. beach.. archery.. the billiards and of course the pool side bar .. all in all a great stay and must visit place.

I don t know in which hotels the people who leave here 4-5 stars, but in fact here:
- there is no food (the same thing every day, only the signs above the tables change)
- there is no service ... Nobody explains anything, does not help, does not want to work.
- it s even worth going to the restaurant in the evening ... Incomprehensible stew, everything is relocated, service is zero
- on the beach constantly algae, then plankton bites, then a storm, then jellyfish ... (May month)
If you think that you are lucky, and something like this will not happen with us, then I would choose in your place a "lottery hotel" closer ... But not this whale's ass, which still needs to be reached

I visited Fujairah / Al Aqah in July/August and stayed for 13 nights at Miramar Al Aqah.

Hotel:
The Hotel looks beautiful and has the typical arabic building style. Awesome! The rooms were clean and had all the important things you need. Clean service was everyday done and everything allright. What we did not like was the very very cold temperatures in the hotel. Outside it was 40 Celsius and inside maybe 10-15 Celsius. We got sick from these temperatures.

Location:
Al Aqah is in the Northern part of Fujairah and it is in the middle of nowhere. The next "City" is Dibba (15mins by Taxi). There are only 2 Stores Lulu Supermarket and Nawras Market. The next bigger City is Fujairah which is 1 hour away by car. This Hotel is ideal when you just want to relax at the beach.

Transport:
The Hotel has weekly shuttle buses to Fujairah and Dubai Mall (2-3 times). During our stay we had a car rented at europcar, which was quite practical. For almost 2 Weeks we payed 600-700 AED at Europcar in Fujairah. We recommend NOT TO RENT A CAR FROM THE HOTEL!! The Prices are extremely expensive. Compare the prices in the internet and you'll find better offers.

Check in:
Was very fast and the staff did his best. After we came late in the evening, the staff had prepared a little lunch extra for us in the room. AMAZING!! THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR GUESTS!! We also got a better room that fitted us better very quick.

Restaurant & Food:
The Food was during my stay ok, but you dont have too much choice in the offered buffet (compared to other 5 Star Hotels in UAE). Arabic Nights were the best!! Breakfast is everyday the same. Mexican Night, was very bad. i suggest the Hotel Management: Keep the original arabic Food like Emirati, Omani, Yemeni, Lebanon, Morokkan etc. This is more authentic than something mexican, french, german waste food. Music in Restaurant was extremly annoying!! its like Super Mario Music everyday. I would love to hear something arabic: My suggestion: The Band Le Trio Joubran has some light chill arabic music. This fits better in your hotel.

Beach & Sea
The Beach is very clean, long and well maintained from the staff. I didnt really like the sun loungers, because they did not really were comfortable. The Sea is amazing!! Crystal clear water, perfect for diving, snorkeling etc. i had a lot of fun. But be careful: Compared to the coast in Dubai/Ajman/Sharjah/RAK are much more waves! Sometimes quite strong!

Hotel Facilities:
The Sea temperature is in Juli/August quite high (30 Celsius). But the big Pool in the Hotel cools you up. The temperature is refreshing and perfect. Beach Volleyball and other activities happened every day. Very nice!

Water Activites:
We booked one day Parasailing which was a lot of fun. But we payed 500 AED for 10 Minutes Parasailing. There are plenty of activities you can do like kayak, parasailing, jetski etc. BUT: The prices are wayyyy toooo high!

Hotel Lounge Shisha
There were 2 Lounges, one inside and the other was outside. Shishas outside were very good and also the cocktails! Big up and respect to YASSIN who everday worked hard but always had a smile and a lovely character. Hotel Miramar needs more employees like YASSIN'S character!

Massage & Spa
There was a Jacuzzi, Sauna and a Massage Station. We did the massages 2 times. I recommend the Thai Massages, which are awesome! Prices are also here much more expensive than in the City, but you have to deal hard with the people.

Hotel Employees
First Man is Yassin with his amazing hard work and nice character.
Also the people at reception and Car Service were always friendly and helpful.

Checkout
At the end we had to pay a discount price of 200 AED because we used the room for 6 hours. In my opinion this is NOT MY PROBLEM! The Hotel should find a better solution for checkout problems. (We were not the only guests)

Last words
Nice Hotel but too far from "civilization"
Strategy of German/Austrian Management: Achieve more money than last year is more important than guest satisfaction.
Prices: are not cheap, i would rather go to Ajman next time.

Beautiful location in Kalba, nestled between the hajar mountains and the sea. Nice restaurant and bar by the pool.

How much is the change in the level of the hotel than before, in terms of reception, credibility, service, price, and staff, a loss that is booked with them

Our friends had gifted us a room night as a wedding gift. We had a great time and really enjoyed the resort however since our voucher/ gift was prepaid and was nearing its 1 year expiration, the staff, at the time of booking, made it very difficult for us to get the night we wanted. They denied 4 to 5 dates that we had requested until we finally picked a date that was over a month away. They also put us in an economy room that was neither pool facing nor had an ocean view. It didn't stop us from having a great time though as we spent most of our time in the sun and sand and the beach bar was awesome!!

One of the best resorts in Alaqa Fujairah everything was great except the food is very expensive I don't know why!?

its huge property, may make you tired, somany things to perform- Table tennis , dance in pool , water sports , beach , ....

Nice beach, tried scuba diving here for my friends, hotel was totally full during December, looks like this one attracts lots of tourist, and rent was expensive. Pool bar and beach is amazing. Staffs at pool bar was not friendly as expected in resort bar.

A cosy warm world class resort with good restaurants and great helpful staff....we had a quiet lazy staycation

Beautiful place, wonderful staff (especially Sunday ). The beaches are beautiful, the pools fantastic. Really the only bad thing was the food. The food was not to our taste and pretty expensive. But hey, don't let that stop you from taking some you time ans relaxing here !

Very nice maroccan style resort hotel. Cool animation. 90 minutes drive from Dubai Airport. This area is very quiet. I tried the buffet only, is very ordinary, nothing special. But all staff super friendly....

A beautiful place with a beautiful beach. Large, spacious rooms with terraces, very clean, tidy, daily change of bed linen. Water is even exaggerated !!! Delicious food !!! Hotel service, staff at the reception, in bars and restaurants przesympatyczna, always helpful, smiling !!!! The beach is very near, hotel. All-inclusive option not available (for a lot of everything).
With a clear conscience I recommend even for picky eaters !!! Families with children will not be bored (animators always ready to play)!

The hotel is very clean, I liked the beds, not too soft or hard. The staff is extremely helpful, but for my taste the demand "everything all right" when eating (about 4-6 times) too often. Too bad that cloth napkins are always taken, the environment probably does not help. The 5 * would be okay with paper napkins. Who like us booked half board, is surprised with gigantic drink prices: cup of coffee around the 7 , espresso also, the 1liter bottle Evian in the room is disproportionate with 7.50 . Anyone driving here should be able to speak English to a degree. The sea was very bad during our stay, also jellyfish were there. Otherwise it was nice days here.
