We are from out of town with a family member at the hospital. Went to Wausau Mine for dinner one night. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding...will definitely stop again when we are out this way.

Was very disappoint. Actually really angry.
Ordered 2 large pizzas, one sausage and pepperoni , and one house special pizza. They gave me a cheese pizza with sausage going all around the outside of the pizza. The other one had about the same amount of sausage with blond hair in it.

Food was great. Service was not good. No I will not let you "hold on to my drivers license" because I'm drinking a Moscow mule out of your 4$ copper cup.

I personally like a lot of cheese on my pizza and this place has great pizza with an eclectic atmosphere. People are very nice too.

Unique, but you know what I think it was missing? Music! It was very quiet. We ordered the Italian "cheese fries" - Allow me to burst your bubble: They're bread sticks with melted cheese on top and marinara to dip in. Lots to choose from and good prices are some pros of this place. The food was pretty good, too. Was disappointed that the appetizer came out one minute before our meal. It happens, I guess.

We ordered a small Italian fries for an appetizer. It was really greasy and a big portion. All 4 of us couldn't finish it! We also ordered a 14 inch pizza, which was decent. There was too much cheese and not enough sauce. The servers were friendly and helpful.

The food is good. The few times I've been there and just had a drink at the bar, the bartender was not friendly and wasn't knowledgeable about special drinks that are advertised on the website. Ordered a special drink, the shaft, that was suppose to come in a special glass that you get to keep and got a different version of the drink in a regular glass.

Update: Currently at the restaurant now for my birthday. Never gave me my boot beer I ordered until I asked for it a 3rd time. Waited almost an hour for the wrong food to be brought to our table and never got our appetizer, but was still charged for it. Other tables were seated after us and got their drinks and appetizer before our waiter even came to our table for the very 1st time to take our drink order. If I could give this place less than one star I would!

Service was terrible! Food was disgusting, no flavor and over done. Was sat at a end table that kept getting walked into by workers. None of the workers said please,thank you or excuse me. In and out in less than 20 minutes for a sit down restaurant with soup and meal. They just push you out as fast as they get you on the door.

Cool decor. The "italian fries" that they're known for is just a cheesy breadstick with garlic butter. The flame broiler burger was legitimately one of the best burgers I've ever had though. A little short on the serving for sweet potato fries especially since it's an upcharge.

They have great variety of many items. I love there homemade ravioli!

Visited while just driving through. Great food at very reasonable prices. Will definitely visit again when in the area!

My wife, son and I went to the Wausau Mine Company on Thursday December 13 and my wife got violent ill.

Atmosphere was great. Food was under seasoned and just alright. Not really worth a return trip given the cost.

Waitress was excellent and very helpful. Had the Italian fries and Poor Mans lobster. Food was good and quick. Unique building, wanted more mining artifacts or materials. Maybe a little on the history of mining in Wisconsin.Overall good experience.

Good was greasy. Service was very good once we got to our table. The restaurant was not busy when we there, lots of empty tables but no one around to seat us for close to 10 minutes.

I like it a lot. Love the aesthetics of the restaurant! Pizza fries were missing some garlic and thus were a tad bland. The lettuce in my salad looked a bit old, but tasted fine. I ordered the blackened salmon which was rather lovely, tho was too hot for my liking. Tho that isn't the restaurant's fault. Lovely baked potato which was loaded. Loved the sweet potato fries. Didn't get to touch a dessert, but the pictures looked great, tho no prices next to them so the dessert menu looked unfinished. All in all, great place to eat, just needs a bit more seasoning on the pizza fries and prices on the dessert menu. Will be going back, perhaps for a fish fry. I'm excited to try the potato salad!

They sat us down quickly, served us good food in generous portions, and the staff was very friendly. With uniqueness of the decor this is definitely a good stop to go.

The pizza cheese fries are the best! The super thick crust is great with the perfect amount of cheese. The marinara sauce has great flavor as well.

This place is still one of the best places for family and friends to sit down and get a great homemade pizza. The pizza fries are the bomb!

I've loved this place since I was a kid. Every single thing I have ever ordered was always great tasting and looked very appetizing.

I really liked it when I went yesterday. We ate in the bar area.. The main dining area can be crowded and noisy. Had a yummy Martini and some good drinks. They were cheap and had a good variety. I had a salad and their chili. It was very yummy. We all shared an appetizer of cheese curds and cheese fries. That was good. Food came out fast. All of us enjoyed our food.

Ordered my burger medium, when it came out it was over well done. The service was not very attentive and did not even offer any compensation for the hockey puck I was served, even after I pointed it out. The only thing that saved lunch was the cheese curds. I will give them one more chance in the future.

Came on a Tuesday night for dinner. Husband had a beer and I had sangria. Both were good. We had a small order of Italian fries. Perfect size and they were good. We both ordered chimichungas as they were on special. I was surprised and disappointed that neither one came with lettuce and tomato. I asked for some as I have never had chimi's that didn't come with it and really wanted it. I was further surprised that I would be charged $2.59 for a "side salad". Really left a sour taste for me. It may not seem that big of a deal but...jeez.

I underestimated the size of the pizza as I was hoping to eat it all myself. Unfortunately, I only ate a third of it as it was so filling and so much food! It was delicious though! Margaritas were good too.

A personal and family favorite and a required stop when we visit or even just pass through Wausau!!! The Italian Fries are like no other and the other offerings are excellent as well. The staff is always welcoming and efficient.

The food was top notch, the atmosphere was unbelievably cool. Despite being very busy we were seated quickly.

My husband took me there yesterday to celebrate my birthday. Took the waiter about 5 minutes before he came over and took our drink. He then took about about 5 to 10 minutes to bring drinks and are Italian fries. He also took our menus but never took the rest of our order. we waited for another 5 minutes 5 to 10 minutes and he came over and he suppose that all you're going to order and I said no he apologized for taking our menus. you finally took our order we ordered two pizzas one the barbecue chicken the other one the mining company pizza with three meats we asked for half onion and a half mushroom on the pizza. when he brought the pizzas out the one that we ordered with only half onion and half mushroom had it on the entire Pizza. when he came back my little daughter goes and says well there's onions and mushrooms on the entire pizza and you forgot my dad's chili. He again apologize never offered to have the other Pizza remade correctly. when he came back to the table he said that he gave us a 10% discount for all of his mistakes. hey then also brought the cake my husband ask for for my birthday cake out at the same time that we had our pizza. he then brought our check out and walked away my husband went up front and let the person at the front handling the cashiering that the young man needed to be have some retraining. His service was very laxy Daisy not attentive at all I felt the meal should have been 50% off or free versus what we paid.

Been coming here for years, now in new building, unique mine interior, delicious food, drinks and variety. Big portions..

I dont live in Wausau any,more,but everytime im in town i eat here. The food is always amazing.

I will never go there ever again! 1St. The staff is absolutely rude and has no people skills! 2nd the food has no quality to it at all. ARBYS AND MCDONALDS HAS BETTER QUALITY FOOD. i'd rather dumpster dive then eat there again. The only thing that was remotely good was the cheese curds. And the drinks are over prieced and week as hell. Couldnt even taste the vodka in my cranberry juice. Wine coolers are stronger.

Good food (a little pricey), great atmosphere, it's on the louder side, but great for families. Good staff, wait wasn't bad.
