Can't say enough good things! Awesome food and great service!! Well worth the wait if you go.

Definitely a unique setting. Try the Italian fries with marinara sauce. They're excellent. The host and wait staff could be better.

Neat decor that the kids liked but food a little too greasy. I had the Reuben that the waitress said people regularly come there for and I really have a hard time believing that as it was way too greasy and average at best. I would likely give the place another shot at some other food but based on what the rest of my family got I'm not sure I'd be impressed. I would give it another chance though.

We went to the miners for great grandma's 84th birthday. First time ever going there last time. The setting was unique definitely one of a kind. We got there approximately at 4:30 on April 7th 2018. Slow not a lot of people. I had ordered their 10 ounce sirloin the baked potato and salad was good I ordered the steak medium came out rare and chard. Took probably 10 minutes for the server to come back to the table sent the steak back to be properly cooked. They took the same piece of meat that have been on my plate that I had cut into and put it back on the grill. That is disgusting what if I had some type of disease. Now everybody else would be infected. They overcooked the meat and burnt it even more. The manager never came out to see how things went. Very poor management. Coming from somebody that's been in restaurant management and four and five star restaurants all my life. Definitely not on my bucket list to stop at again. Ended up having to go to Kwik Trip for a cheeseburger.

Forget all other negative reviews! This place is amazing! The drinks are great,the staff is great and the food is great! I had the homemade stuffed cheese ravioli and it was to die for!

I was really excited to try this place based on positive reviews. The interior & exterior are very unusual, but the dining experience was average at best. I tried call-ahead seating & felt like I had inconvenienced the staff when I called; the hostess was very short with me and didn't even ask my name. We were seated immediately upon arrival as they were not busy, however. Our table was very near the entrance and with 3 kids in our party, we later wished we had been seated out of the main pathways. It took a while for a server to greet us and take our drink order. Food was served promptly but we barely saw our waitress after that. Hard to get a refill on drinks. The kids menu was one black&white sheet of paper with a couple activities; nothing fancy. My husband's burger was over cooked and my pasta was bland. Kids' chicken tenders looked like something from a bag (they were triangular, did not seem to be freshly prepared). Garlic bread was good. We were excited to try cheese curds as a local novelty but found them to be basically mozzerella sticks.
Overall, food was average or less and the experience was a poor value. Would not recommend and would not identify as "family-friendly."

Terrible. I am writing this from the toilet. Have not been able to get up for hours. There was so much cheese on the pizza it was inedible. Aside from that it was tasteless. There website was the best part of the experience. Don t waste your money.

This place was suggested as we stopped on our way through Wausau. We were told to try the Italian Fries, that they were the best. Well needless to say we were let down, our favorite store bought brand is better.

The 2$ old fashioneds weren't worth more than that. Looked like watered down Coke and tasted like nothing but bitters. We were later told that they are not known for their drinks.

The entrees weren't anything to rant and rave about.

The least shining star was the service. Our server acted like he was doing us a favor by taking our order. He stopped by once to see if we wanted another drink, which we did and didn't see until the end of our meal when we reminded him he had forgotten. Otherwise it was just to clear the table and give us our check.

Good salads for lunch! Nice service! Interesting decor. Worth your time.

Dark & gloomy. I couldn't eat the Alfredo and marinara sauce duo over pasta. It tasted horrible. The chili tasted like it was from a can.

Why do people say they have awful food. The steak and salads could use more work but those things expensive.. All else very nice.. Especially don't agree with bad service.. People are just rude and nasty these days.

First time visiting and was very impressed. Greated very friendly and asked if table or booth. Server comes introducing himself and politely asking if we'd like drinks. After he served drinks asking if more time is needed to look at menu. Food was excellent and moderately priced. Our server made our dining experience here VERY enjoyable and will return to dine again. 5 out of 5 stars. Keep up the great job.

Awesome atmosphere, has been for 25+ years. Good food, good prices, service is usually good, although we've had good and not so good servers.

Very unique place to eat at very reasonable prices. The inside of the restaurant resembles being in a mine.

Fun and quirky atmosphere- loved all the details to make it look like you re underground in a mine, and the asymmetrical building was really cool! The staff and service were impeccable- our server even brought a cup of dirt pudding out for our son, which was so kind! The food was very good as well!

This place is dull and boring just like it's Friday fish fry. It's not about quality here it's about how many you can serve in a short period of time. Wait staff is friendly that's about the only thing I can think of. Will never come back. I will eat at a Kwik Trip before I eat here again!

Unique outside and inside. Tried the Pizza. Excellent! Prices are reasonable.

Burger was bad. Other partners sandwich was not good and the golden nuggets appetizer they charge u 8$ for were the end pieces of garlic bread you'd get in the store, with way too much cheese thrown on. Coffee and sweet potato fries were ok.

Good, unique atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Pretty diverse menu too! Would highly recommend and will be back again!

I'm giving the Mine Company 3 stars because it offered nothing for vegetarians. The ambiance was super cool. The hostess was pleasant. Our waitress was pretty good. We had to wait a little bit for refills. I don't understand why there weren't refills on Root Beer. And since they tell you every soft drink they offer they should mention there are free refills on everything but the root beer. There menu has a lot of items but nothing for me a vegetarian. I ordered a Reuben with no meat. How hard can it be to have some frozen veggie patties in the freezer? My son wanted to sub his fries for a side salad and she said it would be $3.50 more. That's ridiculous.

Enjoy the atmosphere. Feels like you are in a mine. Also good food and service.

Great pizza! Crust is light and crunchy. And lots of cheese. The atmosphere is really neat. Lots too look at. Took a walk around with the kiddos and killed time before our food came to the table. Interesting stuff. Not from the area but will stop again if driving through.

The pizza fries here are so AMAZING that I stop and buy them when I visit family so I can take them back home to Madison, WI where they have never heard of them! PLEASE!! Build a Wausau Mine franchise in Madison so we can have these succulent, tasty, cheese draped morsels whenever we want! lol LOVE. THIS. PLACE!

Food was good. Terrible service. Got burger with onion rings... Like 5 rings and was told by the server I got the short end of the stick. Waited 1.5 hours for table then 45 min for food. Also made reservations and was told we get the party room. Got there and they said we don't make reservations and they double booked the party room. Thought they didn't make reservations? Messed up

Last week, we got the worst wait staff, and the food was not worth the stop. I was told I couldn't customize my bloody mary (spicy), so I got a water. Glad I did, since my date's was not good. The Italian fries were bland and the dough was overworked to the point of pulling apart in haphazard layers. That was removed from our bill. The Reuben was meh, as well. Throughout the meal, the next table over had the most attentive server. Ours barely stopped out; just f ok r order and delivery.

I remember when this place was a special treat of childhood. I'll save it for the memories, since I doubt I will return.

Went here for my birthday with family and boyfriend and it was amazing! Food and service was incredible. Highly recommend!!

I ordered a Kaleb burger, which was like taking the perfect char broiled burger and when it's done, pouring 1/2 a stick of melted grease on top of it. The fries were awesome after I scraped off about 1/4 cup of salt off them. The cocktail I had- well, put some booze in it for the price you pay please!

I told myself once before I would not return and of course I thought maybe it would be better. I was very wrong! Number one problem was the customer service was so horrible. Our waitress came once as soon as the food came and never came back until I found a hostess and complained. The sad thing is the waitress walked by twice to clean a table and didn't even bother to get us more drinks. The food was blah. I think that is the blandest chili I have ever tasted in my life! Just overall the whole experience was terrible. I WILL NOT RETURN. The only and I mean only positive is that the building is neat.

The best fish fry around definitely best pizza, I would say the state. We drive all the way from Appleton for it.

You'd be crazy not to stop here if you haven't already. Great fish fries. Daily food and drink specials. Italian fries with cheese are heaven on earth. Did I mention you are eating in a mine!?
