It's the public defenders office, don't come in expecting them to get you out of a crime you actually committed. A public defender can only work with what they have from you and the court.

Since the child advocates from the defenders association of Philadelphia violate court orders, falsify reports, twist stories, lie under oath in court & block our children from speaking up in court families that have recently rallied, spoke to the media & protested against the family court judge who has a history of violating parents rights have now decided the time has come to expose & protest against the advocates. Not that I disliked place, but since people care about fairness and second chances , and on the other hand.

My experience was great. Luke Trama is one of the brightest, kindest, public defenders I have ever met. Not only that, he gave me that personal touch you don't usually find. He is the BEST OF THE BEST. He really cares about his clients and their families.

I am currently fighting for a loved ones freedom with a public defender and I really had high hopes of her being a knowledgeable and caring person and I am being proven wrong every single time everytime I speak to this woman. She has done nothing she doesn't even know how to spell my loves ones last name this is so depressing I've only spoken to her twice and I'm losing hope in her every truly lifting a finger for him this is sickening how much she doesn't care.

Not very helpful and quick to push you off on someone else

The PD that is fighting to release my loved one during COVID has never stopped fighting despite Judge Coyle s ridiculous ruling, denying everyone s petitions and even raising bail. Communication is phenomenal replies every time and most of the time the same day. I wish every PD had the dedication of Harshila

This is an over worked under staffed organization that works for the DA and not for you

very cheap and good people that are ready to assist you

They do a predominantly good job at representing the public who can't afford attorneys

I deal with public defenders only if I have no choice but I prefer a PC which is a private counsel because they more or less dealing with your situation. With the public defenders Association the overworked underpaid and when you're in the courtroom with a public defender there's one the sign for all the cases for that courtroom which means they are just brief very little on your situation and the outcome could be critical and I can't afford that.

Everyone deserves good legal representation. In Philadelphia, the "Defender Association of Philadelphia represents approximately seventy percent of all persons arrested in" in the city!

Can Be a Rewarding Experience, IF you Do Not Need to be there!They make an Effort to Educate Citizens about their Constitutional Rights. Valuable Asset.

I was told that a motion was placed on my behalf. Afterwards the PD quit the firm and lied about my motion. This was 4 months ago and my new pd never contacted me.

She has been so helpful!!!! She has kept me posted & up to date on everything! Even texted me at 10:30pm to tell me more info

No one helps at all.. They just want to pawn you off

Extremely horrible service. If the employees have trouble dealing with people, a job consisting of answering phone calls shouldn't be in the question. Called just to get an unnecessary attitude.

I had the opportunity to have Mr. Byron Cotter work on my case(s). Mr. Cotter managed to Have all 3 of my warrants lifted even though the 1 warrant was a V.O.P., which was my second violation of probation, not to mention I was on the run for 2 years. He managed all this from the confines of his office without either of us stepping foot in court OR state road.This being said I would give them 8 out of 10 stars ...............

Public pretender is more like it ! In this country and Philly especially, if u do not have money for a proper defense ur going down. These guys just keep the wheels rolling for the corrupt DA withnew power just waiting to get even.

Our first court appearance was stellar, then I don't know what happened the next one they were unprepared, one of lawyers walks in the courtroom late with sneakers on with important documents that were needed and my husband felt like the lawyer did not fight for him at all. Everything they went over for two hours to prepare for court was never addressed in court and needless to say my husband ended up taking a bogus deal that the attorney advised. It was really unfortunate because this is serious and it affects not only the person being accused but there family as well. I know its free legal help but it reminded of the saying, you get what you pay for.

Went to court and the child Advicit and their attorney request that parenting capacity evaluation be part of the case, PEC has nothing to do with parenting or kids, but they made sure that the PEC wanted details of my rape when I was 10yrs old. I'm now 38yrs old. It's nice to be re-victimize by the system.

This firm gives the worst possible meaning to "Philadelphia Lawyer." Search this address on Google Maps and see what this place looks like. Also, be aware of the shenanigans you can expect if using this firm: They are spamming cell phones with texts with the following message: "You have court on Jan 25. If you haven't already, come to the Defender office ASAP to meet with an attorney, 1441 Sansom St, M-F 9-4pm. Test STOP to opt out."

Food was awful, my first time ever eating at Friday's and it will be my last ..... I'm sticking to my Applebee's

They don't defend ppl if they have a dhs case it's dead
