My father's life dream was to come back home to Boston to see his team The Red Sox at Fenway. . 77 years later we are here..
I booked two king size rooms. Both were great! My parents room looked over Quincy Market.
Ours had a balcony for an extra $100. Not worth it I suggest not getting it, as it's not what I thought it would be. Not for sitting.
Peter at the front desk made my father's dream a reality and sent up to their room a nice bottle of wine, cheeses, and a bottle opener set!! Everything was perfect!! Food, services, and location was spot on!! Thank you!!

For what I got, everything about the hotel was waaaaaaay overpriced. There were fees on top of charges plus admin fees plus taxes plus tips plus plus plus etc etc. If I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars per night I would like to have the product I receive be at least a tiny bit higher end than any other 50$ night room. The employees all seemed friendly and the room was clean. The Tesla electric car charger they have on site is NOT a Supercharger, and it'll cost you just under 50$ a day to use it, even if you are a hotel guest.

Perfect location, large comfortable and clean rooms, polite and quick service. It may have been the time we were there but a little overpriced. Would have liked a larger gym and maybe pool as we had super hot weather. Overall recommend - ask for a room with a view.

Nothing "superior" about our superior room..

Holes in a bath towel, missing trim from mini bar (exposing electrical components) and marks on sheets carefully hidden by a throw..

I absolutely love the location of the hotel. It's right across from Faneuil Hall and other historical places. A very shory walk to the harbor and aquarium. Easy to get to all the restaurants on Hanover and Salem streets. The hotel is doing a pretty great job on keeping guests safe during covid-19. However they should fix the front doors because you need to pull on it first for it to be automatic. My biggest inconvenience is that we were charged for things in the mini bar that we did not use!! I spoke to the staff and they said the would remove it, however more things were charged! I can see in previous reviews this is a constant problem here, so maybe management should consider doing away with this feature. Shout out to Nick for always making sure we had ice!

Central location was perfect for a weekend getaway. Spent the day exploring. It was so easy to pop over to the North End. The room we had was larger modern and clean. Valet was nice so I didn't have to think about parking. Staff was helpful though we didn't downs much time there. I will absolutely go back.

After staying at the Bostonian for over a month, I can attest to what a lovely hotel it really is. Located just across the street from Faneuil Hall. They have a restaurant, banquet halls, and a fitness facility on the property. The Bostonian is my preferred choice for accommodations when I'm spending time in Boston.

*** (I will continue to update my review as soon as I've completed my extended stay)

The hotel has vastly fluctuating rates, as you may pay $175 one day, and $900 on the next. (I guess what you can expect in a touristy town based on occupancy, events and seasonal pricing)

Very fancy and clean in the eyes of this back woods boy. The bed was comfy and the pillows were squishy. My only two gripes are that you have to be on 6th or 7th floor to have any sort of view and that there is a club somewhere near by so it wont be quiet till 2am (depending on what side of the building you're on).

I have stayed here multiple times and it s just...fine. The best thing about it is the location and it has a decent hotel bar. Otherwise, the amenities don t really match other similarly priced and rated hotels. Generic bath items, fine bed, okay sheets/towels, no complimentary waters. Again, fine place just nothing very special. Once the Langham has finished its renovations, that will be the place to stay in downtown Boston.

This hotel not only has an amazing location but it also has an amazing staff to follow. Nick, the front desk manager was there for both days we were there and was truly exceptional. While we were visiting this awesome state he directed us to Boston Sail House which has some of the best clam chowder in life. The day of our departure my vehicle wouldnt start, Nick directed me to the nearest rental location and let me keep my three year old daughter in the room with her dad. The amount of stress that he took away was nothing short of amazing.

The service at this Hotel was HORRIBLE! Dave the manager, a complete, utter, buffoon. I booked a room through expedia had an issue with correspondence expedia admitted guilt and the hotel still charged me $100 for a no show, I did book another room through orbitz and everything was fine but never received anything from expedia regarding a double room. So the hotel charged me a no show fee. Dave told me to take it up with expedia and I did , but there isn't a thing they can do because they didn't take any money from me, the hotel did.

The location is perfect, near Faneuil Hall and Quincey Market. Price is a bit steep, but you're paying for location. The Bostonian boasts great service, but I suppose my idea of great service is a bit different.

They still have the outdated mini fridges that charge you if you remove any beverage to look at, move slightly or give it a wrong look. You have to order ice to your room, which of course goes with a tip. They don't give you an option for that. So warm drinks, 6.50 mini fridge water, or tipping someone to get ice. Polyester pillows, chipped mirrors, previously used body wash.

I expected a bit more, but I suppose it's price is mostly just for the location. Next time I'll probably stay farther away and use the subway.

We went to a wedding here during a heatwave in July. It was all planned indoors but the AC at the venue was not working. Turns out it had not been working for more than 24 hours prior to the event. Staff was slow to alert the wedding party and guests to the problem. Instead of having a solid Plan B it seemed like the were just scrambling. Hotel rooms were fine but the event was a mess.

I've stayed multiple times. Unbeatable location. Walk to the north end, quincy market, fanuiel hall, and boston public market.

It's pricey and rooms are iffy - there are nice ones and there are also ones where the view is a literally a brick wall 18 inches away from the window (i legitimately laughed when i saw this, it looked like something out of a cartoon).

My big complaint - The $25 "resort fee" is a farce. It's not uncommon for 4 star hotels to charge for all the little extras you'd get for free at a 3 star hotel, but at least give the guest the option. They highlight all the "amenities" you get for $25/night like "coffee in the room!" "newspaper!" "business center access!" "(very slow) wifi!" "handling of incoming or outgoing packages!" - it's a slap in the face at check in. Build it into listed room rates if you're going to charge for those things - by no means is this a resort.

The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. We were upgraded into a tremendous room with a balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall. Any concerns were addressed promptly. Everyone truly cared about their guests. You can't beat the location.

Rude staff, wanted to pre charge my credit card $200. When I objected, I was given the worst room in the hotel. View of a nasty alley full of dumpsters that were emptied at 2:30 a.m. Concierge can't get a reservation for you in a decent restaurant. When in Boston, stay away from this overpriced "boutique" hotel. Any other place better. I'd give zero stars if I could.

We had a wonderful stay here while on our honeymoon. Troy who checked us in at the front desk had sparkling wine, chocolate and berries delivered to our room. Our room overlooked Quincy Market. What a memorable stay!

I always liked this hotel and have started here multiple times. When checking in I found out they've started charging a separate mandatory "facility fee" of $17 per night for extras such as TVs in the room and access to the hotel gym. Not mentioned anywhere until you check in. Totally ridiculous gouging of the guests. Will not be back.

Great hotel in a great location, staff very friendly and accommodating, its worth the valet parking, rooms are very comfortable, ancient fruit and vegetable market on sidewalk, Freedom Trail at the doorstep, 10 minutes walk away from the Aquarium, Harbour, and other historical sites

Room was smaller than I would have expected for the cost, but otherwise was a beautiful room, and the staff was extremely attentive. If you're looking for a boutique hotel at a great location (Quincy Market) it's certainly worth a look?

This is THE perfect place for a wedding. The location couldn't be better. The Bostonian is located right next to Faneuil Hall and across from the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Boston's Harborwalk. There are so many amazing photo opportunities around and inside the Hotel. The 4th floor has this perfect little patio area, and the ballroom has wonderful views of Boston's Custom House and skyline. I love photographing weddings at the Bostonian!

They have bed bugs! My friend stayed here over New Year's Eve and had a disastrous experience which included three rooms and two separate instances of bed bugs. The staff was barely apologetic.

Not good! Issues with the app trying to book. Have no idea why the inside of the mini bar is on top of it plus the doors of the tv cabinet were broken. Tv kept trying to shut itself off. Heat was unbelievably loud. Bathroom cosmetic mirror was useless as it wasn t adjustable. I call the front desk-they didn t care. I called 800 # nothing. For $285 I will never go back!! Don t waste your $ on a suite!!
