Am I spoiled or what? I came from Philly and aquariums in Camden, NJ and in Baltimore, MD are way way better. I was really expecting a lot from Florida. C'mon guys, you've got some much stuff going on in Florida, but that mediocre seaquarium is a major let down.

Overpriced for what s inside. $10 for parking is ridiculous. We paid $55 for a picture with dolphin, but got a newspaper quality, very low quality picture, and told if we want better quality picture we need to pay $16 more to access it from More

Had a great time at Miami Sea Aquarium. The shows were great. The only issues we had were the 40 min wait a cone of ice cream and an hour long wait for a pizza and over an hour long wait to leave the parking lot.

I'm a local in the area, so I've been there multiple times when I was a kid. Then, I didn't understand how small the tanks were compared to what they would normally live in. Now that I've seen just how awful the conditions are for all of the marine mammals, I will never set foot in that establishment again.

please don't buy a ticket to visit this whales prison! She was taking from her mother at 6 years old and has been worked as a slave for the last 43 years!!!! The size of her cage/prison is illegal and despite the animal welfare company recognising this nothing is being done! The depth of the water isn't even the length of Lolita! She can rest her tail on the bottom and her head will sick right out of the water, she lives in her performing tanks so the small tank you see isn't just a tank she is transported to for people's entertainment she lives in this small bath tub every single day! Please please please do not visit or buy tickets, if everyone has a spare 7 minutes visit YouTube and watch a day in the life of Lolita it truly is heart breaking she is the loneliest whale in the world! The park is run down and the owner has made more then enough money off this poor creature! She will be worked until on morning they wake up and she is dead in that bath tub if people continue to buy these tickets as ridiculous prices! Please guys don't visit! If you really want to see whales in their natural habitat take a boat trip which will cost effectively less and you will see the real EDUCATIONAL experience !!!!

For little kids could be fine. However for adults... very boring. Even the dolphin show is pretty simple and boring, it doesn't match with the money, resources and potential of this country.

Theres alot of shade everywhere, lots of benches, and the staff are pretty helpful. But the animals don't look like they're treated well as they don't get feeded for 3 days at most sometimes.

We absolutely had a blast at this place! It is a smaller park but still, it was awesome. The staff showed utmost respect for the animals and always educated us about them. The killer whale show was great! The whale was born in captivity so therefore has to remain in captivity its entire life. It would die instantly out in the wild. Overall great experience and less commercialized as SeaWorld. Much more down to earth.

Overall: Utterly depressing. Not worth the money.

Overall: Utterly depressing. Not worth the money.
It is definitely educational. So if you bring time and patience, there are a lot of educational displays etc. teaching in a very interesting and interactive way. Loved that piece. BUT. But the animal exhibits have clearly seen better times. So not state of the art. The way the dolphins, penguins, manatees etc. are kept appears so cruel it should be illegal. Just some relatively VERY tiny concrete pools and basins. Nothing even trying to resemble their natural habitat. Looking into the tanks, you cannot see anything clearly unless it swims right up to the glass. Really, really sad.

the encounter with the dolphins was great as expected, the trainer our group had was unlike the other trainers very unfriendly and unpleasant. The other trainers very enthousiastic, lively and friendly as you would expect paying that amount of money. I would recommend other people doing this at any other place but the seaquarium would it be with instructor Cynthia. Not only was she unfriendly to the guests but also to staff and photographer. not having a good day should not affect your proffesion.

Great shows, but the facilities for the public are old and need to be renovate. The concession stand lack good service and their foor is just awful. It is a great place to take the kids for a good afternoon.

shows are boring and rely simply on the animals spraying water on the audience. i finished the whole park in one hour because it s so small and not much to do. the best part was the touch tanks but i was surprised there wasn t a single employee to monitor the touch tanks. i saw little kids grabbing the animals but no employee was there to stop them. the enclosures were also very small for the large animals. the dolphins had a bigger space than the giant killer whale. $10 for parking is ridiculous too

It is disgusting what this place does with marine mammals. If you have a conscious, if you have compassion, if you have empathy, you will not continue to support the slave masters. If you you think this is a gross misrepresention of what's occurring, do your research, another sentient being (humans) were also kept on display for human entertainment and nobody is going to argue that that was ever a humane thing to do. Orcas and other dolphins are as socially complex as humans are, in fact, they have more loyalty and put more stock in family than we do. Is it the lack of human features that narcissistically keep us from empathisizing with these creatures as we would our own? Have a heart.

Have you people seen the tiny bath tub they call a tank for lolita! She has a family in the ocean. They promised a bigger tank in 1978. She hasn't seen another orca in 34 yrs. How would you feel?

I went to aquarium with my family after hearing how they had a new pool with sharks in it. I was super excited when I saw then however I was instantly confused when I saw one of the workers grabbing shark eggs and carelessly throwing them into a bucket without any water in it. My mom who doesn't even know much about sharks knew that wasn't proper or right asked the guy what he was doing and he said they weren't "fertile". As someone with a degrees in marine biology and someone whose hatched these specific species of sharks from eggs I can definitely say they weren't infertle and definitely had a perfect yolk. This employee was a "class act" all around because after watching that horrifying scene I watched him try to catch a lobster and he pushed a little kid out of the way to try and catch it. The poor little kid had no idea what was going on. The employee was rude, had his shorts
pulled all the way down with his underwear showing, and definitely did not respect the animals he was dealing with. Great job Miami Seaquarium, I really hope this doesn't represent your entire aquarium staff.

This Miami Seaquarium is amazing to visit with your family members or friends. They have variety of animals that you enjoy, different type of foods, pictures or swim with the dolphins that you pay for it. You can hear different types of stories from some rescues animals, how they helped them, and how they are protecting them worldwide. The only thing that I did not like was the killer whale in the small place that she is at for being such as a big animal, but of course releasing her to the nature will be catastrophic because she is used to human providing her food. I love dolphins and I had a blast time having a close picture with them and having the opportunity to touch them. They sell junk food, ice cream, different types of drinks like Gatorade, water, sodas, etc. The bathrooms on this place were amazing, I recommend you to wear sun block at least 60 percent or more because your chance of receiving sun is about 70% of your visit or maybe less. The parking is $10 and is secure, there are some coupon providers that may help you with the entry cost such as a groupon and others. Miami Seaquarium makes a comfortable visit and most people that works here that I ask them about something they were extremely kind and helpful. You can rent strollers here and little cars if you want to move around, they have a variety of things that you can buy and different types of animal to explore.

Lots and lots of fun. Great shows and nice variety of fish and wildlife. Only complaint is they should put more shaded areas around the aquarium. In the summer it gets really hot with the pavement.

Great place to visit for all ages. The venue is mostly outdoor so it's hot and there is lots of walking however that is not a negative. Staff is very fun and friendly, live shows were cool and the dolphins and kill whales are amazing. This is less of a traditional indoor aquarium experience and more of a show / outdoor vibe. Food on site is not great but also not terrible.

Extremely overprices, and even though my 3year old loved the touching pools and the shows, it was definately not worth the money. It felt dirty and the tanks were way to small for these animals alyhough the staff kept expressing their wellbeing.
The manatee cafe was a joke, we stod in line 45 minutes while one poor lady made and put together all the food for the whole line. The booth was so sticky and dirty i wiped it all down with antibac... food was Ok, but pricy and the straff looked tired and uninterested..
The whole place is in desperate need of a renovation - it had kind of a melancholy ghost town feel to it. I was spilt with the feeling of joy for my little girl happily experiencing sealife unknowingly of the conditions, and the feeling that it was just so wrong being there supporting this.

Love this place, though it s quite pricey. We were there several times with my parents and our son. It s better to visit this park in winter, when it s not so hot outside. Especially if you re with children.

Tanks were SO dirty you couldn't see the animals unless they were right next to the glass. Way over priced. Also you aren't allowed to see the orcas unless there is a show. You have to pay for parking as well. Enclosures are very small and the park is a lot smaller than is seems once you are in there is not a lot to do. We only stayed 30 mins.

I've lived in Florida all my life and after 40 years I finally visit Miami Seaquarium the animals looked healthy but the location looked really run down and for the drive down there and for the ticket cost it's really not worth going but for you no fun and Giggles it's worth going it's only good for about an hour and a half and then we left

I had such a blast taking my son and nephew. The staff throughout the entire park was so nice. It was kept clean. They even had a little playground for the kids to run around. Loved to hear all the good they actually do and not just about the captivity. Nursing sick/hurt animals back to health and even prepping babies to be put back into the wild. Definitely going back

The aquarium is alright but don't expect and decent service when you go inside. I went to the ice cream shop 1 outside of the dolphin show and ordered a hypnotic funnel cake. This funnel cake is supposed to have one cream, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, whipped cream and cheesecake. I was handed a funnel cake with a lot of whipped cream some strawberry sauce and ''ice cream" when I asked about the cheesecake I was told the didn't have any. At that point I read their menu back to them. The girl at the counter said oh they are false advertising. I said ok so do I get a refund I paid for one but ended up with something else. Raymond said well you got extra toppings. I said yes but not the ones I wanted. I tasted the funnel cake it was heavy. And my friend noticed he was just dumping batter in the oil. Then ice cream was actually frozen whipped cream with pecans mixed it. I threw it in the trash. That os absolutely ridiculous. Terrible service and terrible food.

This place has seen its time, and it was a looooong time ago. It's sad to see the size of the tanks that the animals are kept in here - obviously way too small. The park as a whole is pretty dilapidated, and for the price of admission, you'd think they'd keep the place up a little better. And the bathrooms are disgusting! Don't waste your money.

It s great for the kids. There s drinks and food and a play area for the kids to have fun. The shows were amazing, you might get splashed so dress accordingly. The exhibits are cool and give you a chance to escape the sun. It s a great place for everyone to learn about sea life and the daily challenges of the sea animals. Human beings play a huge role in planet and environment well being. We all need to change our ways for a better outcome! It s not just recycling we need to stop littering now! Everyone has a responsibility!

I enjoyed my time spent there and it was exciting seeing the unique shows and animals. One thing I was disappointed in was they had signs up for animals that had not been there in months. Other than that it was clean and reasonable.

I visited here with my mom and we had a good time but the pricing wasn't worth the experience we had. First you pay for parking, which was $10. Then we paid over $100 for just two people. We also didn't realize that it was an outside aquarium which wasn't a problem, just a surprise.

PRO'S: The best part of the experience was the animals by far! The whale and dolphins performed amazingly, the manatees, the sting rays, everything about the animals was great!

CONS: It was a scorching hot Saturday and almost all of the concessions were closed. The food in the restaurant (the BBQ one) was way too over priced so we decided to wait until we left the facility to get something to eat. And of the 3 ladies who performed with the whale and dolphins, 2 of them looked like they really did not want to be there. But the one woman with blonde hair in a ponytail, looked like she was really enjoying herself with the animals. And also there wasn't any outside music playing while you walk around, and the atmosphere wasn't very cheerful. Most of the employees didn't seem happy.

P.S.
Sorry this is so long

They need to shut down the Orca exhibit
Do sad to see this gorgeous animal in such a tiny tank with no shade! All the other parks are getting out of the Orca business, so should this place. But it's all about $$$$$!

This is my second visit to Seaquarium. I feel like i didn't enjoy this place for various reasons. 1) During summer, its too hot and there is no resting area to get some cool air and relax. You will end up sweating all day. 2) The shows are not great. Most of the shows lost for 20 minutes out of which more 75% of the time is just they talk but no activity. The shows are not enjoyable. 3) You will have to pay $10 for parking. 4) Food options are not great. Overall, its not a fun place at all.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Over priced is an understatement...simple as that. Plus the 10 that they charge for parking you'll end up spending 100 or more (on two people) just to see a couple dolphins and gators..
