When I moved in this house it was one thousand dollars and next it went to twelve hundred dollars then the next year it w went to 1400 and now it is 1780.this house has no patio and no decent backyard. I have replaced their washer and dryer and now I just replaced their refrigerator because it is all junk. Don't ever rent from these people. The only time it was good when Tim was there

I have had the best experience, I post my issues I had with the house and in one day everything was fixed quick. I was a bit worried because of other reviews but I can honestly say best service I have receive, quick, fast and efficient. Thank you!
Prior to COVID, renting was a painless process. A majority of rental companies in Phoenix were very affordable and willing to work with tenants. With that being said, the WORST MISTAKE I have ever made was choosing Metropolitan Reality. They by far are the true definition of a SLUM LORD. I was a loyal customers for two years up until my rent was significantly increased after my first year of renting. I was unable to make monthly payments in full when due and ultimately knew I would have to make other arrangements to find another home to rent. When walking my home for its initial inspection, the interior of the home was ATROCIOUS!!! Walls were cover in dirt, dust and mold. Walls had damages and warped foundations. I reported these to the individual whom I signed my lease agreement with, but nothing was ever done to remedy my situation. My wife and I had no choice but to clean the house from top to bottom prior to moving in while juggling both of our jobs and our children. Within the first year of living in the home, there were several issues with the water heater and the plumbing, which took over a week for Metropolitan Reality to send a service tech out JUST to inspect the issue; not fix. Ultimately I made the decision to move out prior to the renewal of my lease. I paid my last months rent in full on time. I notified Metropolitan Reality after I had moved out 2 weeks prior to my lease renewal that I no longer lived in the residence. I cleaned the house from top to bottom prior to vacating the premises. I actually left the home in better condition than I received it in, but Metropolitan Reality felt that because I did not communicate sooner, I would be liable for another months rent. I was more than confused and told the representative that I would not be paying for a home that I am not living in, nor should I be responsible If my lease agreement has been concluded and I have not renewed. They ultimately submitted my lease agreement to one of there partner collection agencies B Lester Law. Through a legal judgement, I am now being forced to pay a month s worth a rent and damages to the property that I had reported from the get go. I was threatened with wage garnishment and punitive action on multiple occasions. Being a blue collar man, I do not have money to waste, nor do I have expendable income at my disposal. Metropolitan Reality dropped the ball when confirming my lease agreement and scramble to collect a months worth of rent at my expense. If you are a current tenant I URGE you to leave once your lease agreement is up and do not renew!!! If you a new tenant looking to rent, STAY FAR AWAY FROM METROPOLITAN REALITY if you don t want to be manipulated and taken advantage of.
They charge renters for all maintenance requests and do not offer any consultation process for what the request is. When you ask questions or challenge their evaluation the maintenance manager replies to emails with an unprofessional tone and manner. Heir accounting process I two months behind, and assess an administration fee for a service that is unclear...which logically should be assessed to an owner for choosing them to manage properties.
Very poor at following up on rental search. I was in a push to move. I found a home, viewed it and submitted an application I was told the final piece was the lease ledger from my leasing office. Metropolitan uses a third party to get this information and the third party never reached out to my landlord, then when I tried to have the leasing office call they kept placing the call on eternal hold, I called back to Metropoloitan and I gave the guy the email address for the leasing office again and she sent him the information expeditiously. Now when I first connected with him I asked what was needed but I also expressed that I needed to move out by 31 May I submitted my application about 2 weeks out and this final piece that he said he needed took them almost that full two weeks to obtain and had I not continued to call I never would have known that they didn't have the lease ledger or that there was a delay in getting the getting g the information due to the 3rd party fiasco. This totally forced me to resign a lease in the apartment at much higher rent than makes sense for an apartment and I now have to stay for a full year with this exorbitant rent and small space. After I was made to move into a different apartment.
Same story as most of the other people on the reviews. Worse rental company I have ever rented from. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! scam artists who steal your deposit and try to charge for things that are not your fault. Like settling cracks in the drywall on the roof. Now I have to get a lawyer to fight this because I'm not gonna let them push me around
This property management company basically evicted us from our rental property. My wife and I had wanted to sign a multi-year lease when we moved into our rental but Metropolitan informed us that this is against their policy. After one year in the property, we received an email that our rent would be increasing by 31%. This price hike essentially evicted us during the middle of a pandemic. I cannot say enough bad things about this company. The worst part was that they listed the property for only 15% over our rent when we moved out. So I am not sure if they were just trying to kick us out or what but we never received an answer about the reasoning for a 31% increase in rent. There were no improvements made on the property during our time there.
Do not rent through this company if you intend on living at your rental for more than one year. They will jack your rent up. There needs to be laws in place to protect renters from companies like this.
Don t even waste your time with this company. You will never get a call back. I have a rental I was interested in.. called several times daily and no one answers the phone. I left so many voicemails, and nothing back. I also replied on their sites like Zillow, hot pads, etc. No response. They show the house through a self guided system which I see now is because no one would ever show up to show the house in the first place. I feel bad for the owners who choose this company to rent out their house because there s a ton of people interested in the home and it s still marked available because they don t get back to anyone!! Don t even bother with them.
Rented from this company from 2016 to 18.Ran into some difficulty and was served with demand to pay. Sometimes it just takes open comunication We were able to resolve things with no blemish on our record.I admired their fairness and professionalism. Now I am back in the state and inquired about taking us back as renters and all questions were answered in a timely manner I hope to rent again
Do not waste your time or money with these guys. They are the worst property management company I've ever dealt with. They will steal your security deposit, their paperwork is all messed up. And they are extremely unprofessional. Especially Holly. I want to use words here that I can't. I feel like I have to take a shower after renting from them for a year. They also charge for HOA violations including garage cans. I feel bad for the owners who have to deal with them. And please don't rent or use property management services from them.
