Be careful here. Project manager sends in "their people" promptly to help you choose materials you would like but when you inquire about costs of your selections, they're very evasive. Also, If you have any concerns or alternate suggestions of your own, you get the cold shoulder and then put on the back burner. It seemed their way or nothing.
I let my insurance company who had referred Marc Scott know what took place and then took my contracting project elsewhere.
I am pleased with my new decision. My new contractors were up front from the beginning, helpful, answered all my questions and above all helped me stay within my budget.

Don t use this office for anything. The inventory crew is unresponsive and unprofessional. They missed whole areas of the house and I m still finding individual items that weren t listed. The pictures are mislabeled, blurry and dark. Alex never replied to me unless I had Dave from the Fairfield office intervene. I was going to use the Fairfield office to rebuild my house, but at this point I m having a hard time thinking about giving this company any money, even if it s a different office doing the construction.

If 0 stars were an option... 10 months and counting for an insurance job, that if I had known, I would have definitely went with another company. Zero communication unless you initiate it. And always the same reply; we'll get back to you, which NEVER happens. Of course they blame the the insurance company, covid, etc.

I experienced a large flood in my home which resulted in damage to a portion of the ceiling in the family room and all the flooring in my home. Mark Scott Construction was chosen to complete the repairs because of their favorable reviews. Frank Capaldo was assigned as the project manager for the job. My experience with him was outstanding. I was kept informed and he was always available for a personal contact with me. I would recommend the company for your next project and be sure to ask for Frank

We Had a Water leakage the whole first floor and kitchen on August 2019 and I did not Know anyone around, I had to ask my insurance for a construction company and Did it refer me to the the best construction company, MC construction they did The best Job And specially Frank Capaldo Very knowledgeable professional And How he Did work very, All I want to say I am every Happy with there Work and everything Frank Thanks for Everything, I'm Very Happy with His Team

I was subcontracted to do some work for them. I finished and was told to bill out for the work I completed. It's been 2 months since completion and I still haven't been paid!

They never call before they arrive. Bad communication. Not reliable and they drink on the job! Zero stars

We had a roof fire recently. The damage was extensive, affecting directly or indirectly every room since it started on the roof. We never filed any home insurance claim, much less a claim this extensive, so we had no idea what the process was. Fortunately CSAA chose MSC to handle the estimate and the repairs. They were experienced in every aspect of reconstruction as well as meticulous in their repair estimate. Matt True, who was the Estimator, was very experienced and was clearly working to make sure his estimate reflected whatever work had to be done to restore the home to it's original condition. This included making sure the "line of sight" provision was followed to ensure there would be homogeneity throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The estimate also had to be extremely accurate in order to avoid nasty surprises which would entail going back to the insurance company with supplement requests.

We had hardwood floors installed, brand new roof, painting throughout the entire house and structural repairs to the roof. We also had damage to the HVAC, ducting throughout the house as well as the attic insulation. All this needed to be replaced completely. The crews were extremely professional and courteous. But since there was so much work necessary, none of this would have gone smoothly without a top notch project manager. We were lucky to have been assigned Arnie Corral. This guy bent over backwards to get things done right and when there were problems, they were always addressed immediately.

We never had to deal with the city, inspectors, subcontractors or any of plethora of details associated with the scope of work involved.

We could not have been happier with the work, customer service, follow up and courteous manner exhibited by Arnie and his company.

Now that we are just about finished unpacking, we can take some time to review Mark Scott Construction. We thought we were buying a new construction home from a nationwide mass builder looking to make a quick profit and run. We were pleasantly surprised to find the complete opposite.

The MS Construction team (Chris and John) were pleasant before, during, and after our purchase. Every question was quickly answered. Multiple opportunities for walk throughs to fix any inconsistencies before move-in day. Given the project is in the final stages of development and selling, it has been nice having their team around to help us understand our new home and how the units were built. Alejandro, do everything man I call him, has also been excellent. Minor fixes around the house, touching up paint after deliveries and installations, etc. He just says yes and gets it done quickly, efficiently, and neatly with a positive attitude.

We were lucky to find a new construction condo/townhouse in Walnut Creek. We were even luckier to be matched with the good people of MS Construction as the builders. We have only been in the house a few weeks now but so far so good. With the minor repairs complete and the new home warranty, we feel really good about buying from MS Construction. I was not paid any money to write this review. We were paid with an extremely nice house (that we paid for) and good service post sale which is worth more than money.
