Had a horrible stay at this hotel. Not only was my room still damp and the carpets wet when I checked in, but the toilet paper that had been put into the room was covered in blood. A long check in process was also extremely frustrating. Those first impressions just completely ruined the entire stay.

Comfortable and has all you need for business trips.

Mercure is such a lovely, quaint hotel. It's so close to all the essential structures like a shopping mall (BrightWater Commons Mall) and garages. You cannot miss the gigantic, purple sign beaming in your face. Apon arrival, a security guard greets you at the gate. You make you're way to reception and they book you in. The staff are hilarious and very patient. Greeting you when you enter and exit. You can get a smoking or non smoking room and your choice of 2 single beds or a double bed. They offer an all you can eat breakfast but at a cost, and they use environmentally friendly towels. In the bathroom, they put up these saches to inform you that it's been sterilized. They have these cute did you know notes as well. Standard coffee, kettle and glassess as well as soap, shower gel and towels are the bathroom. There's also an outlet to shave. The only issue was that the cleaning staff would knock on your door numerous times while you're sleeping which can be irritating but overall, a pleasant surprise. You won't regret it.

Always nice staying there a central for us ..i love it

Rooms are tiny. Bar fridge is broken on the inside. Had no towels when I arrived, when I got towels they seem to be a 100 years old. Not even a bottle of water in the room. Aircon is very old and stupendously noisy. 2 lights in the room are broken. Just a lot of little things are wrong.

Very good looking online & lovely reception area but room small & somewhat grubby & breakfast not worth the R165.00 charged

Convenient and clean. Although the duvet cover that was on my bed was torn. I had to turn it over each night so that the tear was on top! But at least the sheets were very clean
