A hotel placed close to the Amsterdam Ring, near A2 Highway, where you can find everything you are looking for in a City Break, such as comfortable rooms, tasty food at breakfast, good services and above all, a very kind and well informed personnel.
Located at 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station ( 5 minutes till M51 station, then 15 minutes with metro ), it can represent the right choice for a temporary dutch home.

Received in a neat way and kindly helped. Dinner is good, but quite pricey. The breakfast is extensive and delicious! The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but clean and complete. The air conditioning works well and there is a television with the standard Dutch television channels and some foreign channels. Bathroom is fine, not luxurious but complete. The shower is on the small side.

Overall a great hotel.

Stay very enjoyable, hotel very smart. The rooms were OK, the only issue was that the room was very dusty, with the windows opening very little and air conditioning I appreciate that this is difficult to avoid but not a great experience for someone like myself with dust allergies

During all my 4 nights stay between 0800 to 1500 the hotel team was heavily working ( drilling included) - in the reception no one told me that it will be like this. It is also not written in the hotel promotion and in registration. They take your money big time & BUT give you the wrong service..

The hotel is awesome, the room was great, really large space, comfortable and the bathroom too.
We enjoy the sauna and the steam room.
It's close to the metro station, around 8 min walking.
The only issue was the fridge that didn't work well..

Very disappointed with the service. I suffered an allergic reaction in their rooms due to dust and mites. The hotel could not provide a better room so I left the hotel at 2am to stay at my friends place instead. Mercure Hotel would not even reimburse the taxi ride as they asked for sth like a medical proof. I suppose breathing problems and red eyes while talking to the staff were not proof enough.

Overall the stay at the Mercure Amsterdam South was very enjoyable. The room was great and the staff friendly. The buffet breakfast is also very good, with a wide selection of both hot and cold food. The hotel was perhaps a bit further out of the city center than first expected, however, there is a metro within a short walk and a taxi to the center is not that expensive. Overall, I found the hotel to be excellent value for money.

The hotel is located outside the center, but with good public transport links. In addition, a direct boat connection once a day to the center is offered. The rooms are furnished in a modern style. The restaurant offer (breakfast and dinner) is fine. Car parking is available directly at the hotel room.

Unfriendly staff. Overpriced hotel. "Hotel Amsterdam !!!! City !!!!" but 20 minutes from the city. Has nothing to do with City. 30-40 taxi costs to the center. Lt. Reception is the train station "just left" from the hotel - at least 10min walk! Price / performance ratio very bad!

Ideal hotel for business trips and couples who decide to take a break. A bit far from the center .. good thing because the area is very quiet, safe and quiet at night. The metro is about a 7-minute walk from the hotel.
The staff is very kind and helpful. The room, above expectations, is clean and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious, clean and always well stocked. The view was great.
In the hotel there is a small sauna, a turkish bath, a bathtub with frozen water, a gym with attached dressing room and showers and a small relaxation area with table football, all for free.

We were satisfied with our stay.

We were satisfied with our stay.
Thanks to the accor card and an early booking we had an interesting price.
The hotel is a little out of the way but it is very easy to get there from the airport. You have to take the train to Amsterdam Zuid station (1st station) then Metro line 4 to Gein and get off overamstel station. a train ticket then the best is to buy a pass for transport. quickly profitable.
The hotel is 7 minutes walk from the metro station. It is visible from the station.
We had a nice, quiet and cozy room with coffee and tea making facilities, mini bar with complimentary drinks (water orange juice, coca) and toiletries.
The bar is nice with a small outdoor terrace.
If you agree that they do not clean every day you can have a good 5 euros to spend in the hotel! You will find a paper in your room explaining the details.
With the metro line 4 direction central station it is easy to get to Amsterdam.
I recommend this hotel for travelers who wish to have a comfortable hotel at a reasonable price. Those too who want calm and prefer to visit Amsterdam during the day because it is obviously a constraint to have to take the metro.

Nice hotel with good service.

Nice hotel with good service.
The views from the rooms on the 17th floor are amazing. There is easy access to the hotel from the motorway and fine parking options at the hotel. We took an Ubertaxa from the hotel to Amsterdamcentrum for 12 E. Easy!
The breakfast buffet is large and varied. Rooms are clean and OK standard.
Choose Mecure when easy access from the motorway, good service and orderly conditions are a priority.

We just stayed for 2 nights, and we used the hotel just to sleep. Overall it was a good accommodation. The only negative point was the parking. We went on a weekend holiday, and the receptionist told us the value for the parking was 24 a day, a little bit expensive by the way, for a place that does not take responsibility if something happens. But in the outside parking, because it was sunday and the next a holiday was a free parking, and in the normal day was only 14 per day. And that was never mentioned to us. Next time we will now and won't be need to pay anything extra.

Great hotel! Surprised by the hotel in business when we arrived, the rooms are top!
Spacious and comfortable bedding.
Breakfast relatively expensive but great choice and the hotel has a mini market, sauna and bar.
These "next door" are open late enough which is very convenient.
However, the cost of parking can significantly increase the bill of your stay.

A well organized hotel. Checkin quick and easy. Then with the elevator to the well furnished and clean room.

The rooms are well equipped, even with an ironing station. Exactly what you need to iron on the items of clothing carried in the suitcase.

WiFi is fast, and the technology is generally modern. Doors and elevator are operated with the chip card - it works great.

The lobby is tastefully decorated, we felt very comfortable straight away.

The breakfast buffet is opulent. Lots of goodies, everything presented fresh and friendly. I don't know if that is the case every day, but when we were having breakfast a singer was sitting in the room with a guitar and making pleasant music. Very nice.

The hotel has a bar and conference rooms and a 24-hour vending machine shop. We didn't use all of that, but it's nice that it's there.

By the way, checkout is super easy: Simply put the key card in one of the boxes when you go out. No queuing - just go. Finished.

Reception excellent. The receptionist helped me in a very customer-friendly way. Room fully equipped. The service at the bar was not entirely efficient but problems were solved in a customer-oriented way. Food restaurant was good.

Nice hotel modern rooms. A friendly welcome at the reception, wonderful rain shower, nespresso machine and some drinks in the minibar in our privilege room. Our extra bathrobe and nespresso cups were unfortunately forgotten ... Had a wonderful stay.

Once again it was a very nice stay, I was in this hotel for the third time and will probably book it again on my next trip to Amsterdam.
We had a very nice reception with Lars, a very friendly employee who speaks excellent German.
The room was very clean and my request to live on the top floor was granted. We stayed on the 18th floor, it was lovely.
The breakfast buffet offers a lot of choice and the staff have everything in view and fill up immediately when something is empty.

The room was big enough and looked nice at first glance, unfortunately the room was not very clean. In addition, the room was cleaned after two days, after complaint at the front desk and a tablet with leftovers from other guests from the hallway.

Nice hotel, good rooms, service and staff were outstanding!
Small drawback: water in the shower did not drain properly, sauna was at about 50 degrees only, and under the bed the carpet was pretty dusty.

Stayed July 2017 with family. Lovely modern hotel. Great restaurant food. Comfortable rooms. Easy access to metro station into Amsterdam centre. Metro day, or 3-day tickets can be purchased at reception. Highly recommend. Not recommended for young kids though as no play areas etc.

It was wonderful experience with Mercure Hotel Amsterdam , Room was very clean and quite big, front office staff was excellent, truly professional and willing to help and provide any information we asked for. The staff at bar was also very helpful. It was our anniversary and to our pleasant surprise they organised breakfast in the room next morning, which was wonderful and made our stay even more special.
A very nice bar full of guest and excellent breakfast. Hotel is not too far from city centre, we used Uber all the time and was very cheap and quick. The welcome by staff, hotel room , food and bar impressed us so much that we will definitely go back again next time and will highly recommended to friends.

Okay but not a 4 star hotel. Room was dusty, paid 30 per day for upgrade that wasnt worth any money. Room was super dusty and badly equipped for a 4 star hotel. They provided a sponge that was less than 2 inches cubed and the facolities in the room were generally lacking quality.

INGRID !!! She was amazing when we checked in, if it was not for her help (and the complimentary map she gave us) and very descriptive analysis of where to go, I don't think we would have enjoyed Amsterdam as half as much as we did. She's the reason we saw, literally, everything. I'm itching to go back. The metro is not far from the hotel, 5min walk. Once you're on the metro you'll be in the key hotspots very quickly. You can even buy metro passes at the hotel which was very convinent. The hotel it's self is very smartly presented, with a bar and restaurant downstairs. The vending machines and the little tuck shop they have, are a little bit pricey (coming from an East London girl so it may not be to you ). Our hotel window did not, like others we just had Air Conditioning, which wasn't bad, just an observation. Similarly with our bathroom not having a lock but it's not an issues. The room was a decent size with the bathroom looking beautiful. They have 24/7 support which was great. The only downside was the breakfast that we ordered was not what we expected at all, very continental when we expected Full English - but never mind, we may have ordered it wrong. I cannot rave about my experience here enough, I can't wait to come back and stay at the Mercure. Dank je !

First impressions were good and the receptionist was great. We booked breakfast for the next day and it was very disappointed. Being a Brit we like our breakfast! There was too much variety of poor quality, small sausages, not good quality meats, coffee was bad quality etc. We went to get a refund for the following days breakfast and even though the money was returned there was no apology from another receptionist, or enquiry as to why. It was quite rude. The pillows in the hotel were also quite uncomfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights. Staff were welcoming and room was awesome, with range in room facilities tea and nexpresso coffee machine. It was on high floor and good sized room. Toiletries were of high stranded too. Proximity to metro was great. On other side,it was walking distance to markets and eateries. There were trams connecting to Central station there.

Near by the overamstel station. Only 7minutes walk from the hotel. Right at the back of the hotel, there is a boat service to taking you to the city central. The breakfast is nice with variety of choices. Groceries store (Albert Heijn) quite far from here,10 to 13 minutes to walk. The hotel also rent a bike and motorcyle for the guest

The Hotel is pretty nice. So first of all it's pretty easy to get there either by car or public transportation. It's not located at the hotspot but since the next subway station is pretty close, it is totally no big deal.
The employees are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast with 23.5Euro is a bit expensive, but yummi. You have a great choice between sweet and salty or healthy breakfast. Fresh orange juice, coffee and water types.
The rooms are fine as well. You have aircon', dryer, towels, shampoo and so on. And if you forgot your brush, dont hesitate to ask.
Also you can find a 24/7shop there with food, coffee, some sweets and drinks.
The bar is nice as well, the design and atmosphere are very lovely. I liked it. If you dont want to go hang in the city, try the terrace!
