Fantastic facilities but parking on the weekends can be a challenge
easy parking, ok staff (hit and miss when asking for help or assistant) if looking to play bball (would need to check website before going; great site).
Been coming here for the past 6 months to train and it s a great venue.
Free hour of parking is available in adjacent car parks.
Only downside to MSAC is that the water inside is too cold for winter.
It's a big big for me, but most facilities are good. Parking is a mess.
Great place if you want to go swimming. Awesome for kids, so many options. Water slides, School holiday program plus more.
Venue was nice and plenty of car parking available, however some very upset people in the car park with over 15 minute waits due to boom gates not working for most of the day. Staff did attent later in the evening to assist.
Generally very good facility most of the time .
Today several areas closed and after ticket has been sold for.entry I was advised that no lanes are availeble except 2 lanes in outdoor pool or half of it .
Staff was polite but had no clue what is availeble to public and what is not . After I made my way to dedicated 2 half lanes outside , I was told after 10 min that these are closing as well And I can wait one hour for lane to be open Inside . None of these information are with alignment what's in the website .
Bit of a management And communication before entry would be a nice touch .
It has an indoor centre for swimming, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and basketball.
Good place to hang around for sports. Need to see gym and sauna rooms yet. love the space and ambience.
I play squash, badminton, and table tennis here often. It's what you expect from a sports facility that is one of, if not the largest indoors sporting facility in Victoria.
Nice facility and heaps of swimming of swimming lanes.
Good place to swim has a sauna, steam room and hot tub
Good place for sports lovers, all indoor sports facilities are available. Hard to get booking if you don't do prior booking
It fulfils its purpose. But I can only speak about the badminton area.
Okay, I take it back. The change rooms are closed again. It feels almost like they want to anoy people...
Thanks for your response. The change rooms are finally reopened, they look nice. The signage still needs to be updated. It looks like it is for women only... (If you ignore the sign coming from the basketball entrance you will find the mens change rooms ;-)
The go-to place in Melbourne for indoor sports. A great variety of facilities, with lots of programs like lessons and events. Great for all ages, from kid friendly play-pools, to Olympic level facilities. However, the on-site cafes are low quality and expensive. Bring your own lunch!
For a public pool there lane availability is limited and is most cases not available at all. Profits before the public is their new motto.
Based on your response I should remind you that MSAC just made the decision a week ago to increase your squad intake which has completely booked out the whole ouside pool and provided limited and crammed lanes inside from 530am. It does not feel like we are being squeezed out, you are actually doing it. Based on your response this now requires the local minister Martin Foley to be contacted to deal with the mishandled situation.
Good aside from the lights and chlorine fumes that give you a headache
Great facilities for the family. Kids love the wave pool and the main pool is exactly what you expect from an Olympic standard pool.
Nice sports hall with indoor and outdoor swimming pools
State of the art facilities that cater to every sport you can think of.
Staff at the front desk were helpful. Don't forget your goggles etc as shops is very limited. Pools are a distance apart which is painful with kids. Food place was over priced, over cooked and staff rude and unhelpful.
Outdoor blow up thing was not opened. Kids very upset. We were there for a big chunk of the day.
One waterslide and wave pool.
Seating with tables is very limited. Lots of toilets and change room facilities.
Great sporting place with parking facilities, having map hoardings could help visitors navigate easily
Great facilities and location. Many things to see or do other then swimming laps
Parking is horrible and so is the food the rest is great
Fantastic facilities for swimming, 50m indoor and outdoor pools, along with all indoor children's and toddler pools. Staff are generally very helpful and welcoming.
Facilities are great, parking is available but you do need to pay unless you park away from facility
The kids love this place. So many things to do. It gets pretty crowded but worth a visit.
Fantastic venue for swimming. Well maintained and never to crowded.
The best facility and value in Melbourne. It's one with the lot. If handy to you give it a go.
Great place if you love a swim! A must visit for any swimmers when in Melbourne
Great swimming pool facilities, 2 Olympic pools, always clean and tidy
Fantastic facilities for anyone, who enjoys aquatic activities, including diving boards, wave pool, slide for anyone over 100cm, outdoor covered pool, inflatable floating obstacle course in summer, toddler Play pool and various indoor pools.
The aquatic Centre is awesome. The leisure pool is very warm. The big wave and the water slide are great features.
Good and clean center. Finding a parking can take a bit of time though.
Easy to get to venue . Direct tram route from the city.
The pools were great, so were the water slides and diving boards. The Inflatables were a blast and so was the wave pool. Anti-Slip mats were placed around the centre which is great for young children. The food was okay, the canteen shut a little early. The only problem I had was the staff, they were very rude. Never smiled at you and were always talking among themselves. Parents wanting to hold a birthday party beware. As I was sitting having lunch I saw some children from a birthday coming off the inftables. The party guide wasn t asking them instead screaming at them to hold on the ledge of the pool. Constantly shouting at them not to run even when they were walking. Her voiced echoed every time she yelled at them. She was very aggressive towards them and if I was that young, that wouldn t have been a good party.
Clean & really well organised. Cafe has great selection of food & good coffee. Indoor water slide & wave pool a real hit with the kids
If you are going to park at MSAC, DO NOT park at the ANCP carpark adjacent to the centre. It is patrolled constantly and they will issue you with an $88 fine. They are completely unresponsive to any legitimate appeals. Instead park across the road from MSAC in Aughtie Drive at the carpark managed by Vic Parks and Gardens. At least then your parking fees go towards maintaining Vics Park and Gardens, and not into the profits of an unscrupulous private carparking comany.
Terrible coffee, great sandwiches, great facilities.
Great place to swim or play a range of sports including table tennis, badminton, tennis or basketball. Central location and ample parking, although you need to pay which sucks but otherwise its brilliant.
I play badminton for APS sport here. There are a lot of courts and they are well kept. The staff were very helpful when I lost something.
Love this place. The pools are clean. Kid's love to swim and have fun. One place for all your indoor sports like Swimming, Squash, Table Tennis, Basketball etc. They even have Yoga & Pilates centre.
Great place for sports, i mean, you shall be spoilt of choices..
Clean and well maintained other than the lack of parents room. A shame really.
Paid Parking, Disabled Access, Sports Facilities including Olympic Pool, Spas and Great Staff ...
Its a good place, you can have a good time with friends
Love Albert Park Lake. Another favourite place to exercise during lockdown. Within 5km.
Great facility for all sports...especially basketball
Answer your phone, its 2020 and I have to sit through 2 minutes of sales only to consistently get an answering machine which I get a call back hours later.
Not sure if MSAC runs the cafe but it's very expensive and considering there is nothing else close by I feel they are taking advantage of people. 5 bucks for a small chips and $5+ for a 600ml drink. Dunno how they justify that.
Too busy. No fee parking. What do we pay fees for and parks Vic taxes for. Public transport is more taxes, no thanks
Really disappointed. Went to join the gym and found there was a suprise joining fee which wasn t advertised. Gym has a lack of equipment for the price that you pay. Probably why they don t advertise the prices on the website. Also the staff member that put through my membership was unfriendly and kinda rude. Safe to say that as soon as my regular gym re opens are this terrible epidemic is over, I ll be back there
Ok so this place is cool as!
I only checked out the swimming areas. There's a wave pool which is turned on once an hour or so (it was very fun), kiddy pool, swim lesson training area, 2m deep lap pool, diving pool which is 3m/5m deep (diving boards weren't open, but you could try asking staff). Sad thing was the giant slide doesn't open until 4pm - it was something I was looking forward to most.... But this might change on the holidays
Showers/bathrooms are large. There are separate areas for toilets, showers and changerooms which were clean.
Great facilities. Easy court bookings done online so no staff interaction required.
First time here and came for the winterfest cheerleading competitions. Outstanding facility with cafes for food and drinks. Coffee was pretty good and had fresh sandwiches.
