Always love attending MSAC to watch some fantastic swimmers.
Awesome water slide. Great for badminton. Have had lots of school PE sessions there. Because it's got a pool the whole centre smells of chlorine
MSAAC is fun for little kids with wave pool, water slide and the swimming lessons are great with only 1 other child in my 3yr old son's class.
Enclosed and exposed swimming pools, all under roof - clean and friendly environment.
Awesome place to play badminton table tennis and to go for a swim.
Hydrotherapy pool upstairs the temperature is very inconsistent, never really warm. Some days in the pool I'll get goosebumps cause the water becomes too cool. Last 3 visits the shower is icy. No difference between the hot and cold taps. For someone doing rehab, it defeats the purpose of going to this "therapy" pool
We play social volleyball games here every Thursdays. Court hires available and various sports to choose from. I have tried the indoor pool as well. Facilities are in excellent condition.
Really bad service .Very hard to get through to them on the phone and when you do they were not very helpful. I have rang at least 10 times to try to organise my son's 8th birthday party. May have to look elsewhere.
Excellent multisport venue. Good courts, good location. Watch the sailboats on the lake.
Awesome gym and spa centre. I really love this place!
One of the best aquatic center so. Multiple pools, heated during winters. Also houses a wave pool and you can go with family to have a good relaxation.
Great coache kids can get to learn swimming from
Good vibe and lots of space. Bit expensive to hire courts for public use but otherwise great!
This time was not enough parking. But the facility is good.
Its OK. The outdoor pool is excellent. The diving boards are some of the best in Victoria. It's a little bit soulless, big, busy, noisy. The gym is uninspiring but decent. It's not bad, it's just not great. It's also quite pricey. If you go late on Friday or Sunday they were doing happy hour swims, I'm not sure if that's still happening, but it was about half price.
5 stars because of the creche staff. They are excellent! Good sports facilities but they are pricey. Parking is bad. Has pool, gym, basketball, table tennis, squash and many different fitness classes and programs, an expensive Cafe and is next to Albert Park Lake.
Really love MSAC. There is lots to do for the whole family. My kids, aged 3 to 10 years, love the diving boards, inflatables, wave pool, different depth/temperature pools, etc. The only downsides are:
-it can be really busy inside on hot days, this can be overcome though by swimming in the outdoor pool (which is undercover) or the deep indoor pool as there are less people in those ones as they're deeper and colder
-often when they're really busy the indoor heated/shallow pools water look a bit cloudy and greenish in colour compared to the other pools, again overcome by avoiding those pools and swimming in the others
-there aren't many allergy friendly food options, we are gluten and dairy free, cant eat anything there except the popcorn. Easily overcome though, bring your own food.
Other the that, the toilets are always clean, the staff are friendly, reasonable pricing, easy (paid) parking, lots of family change rooms. Would definitely reccomend.
The facilities actual sporting facilities are very good. if I had to give any negative feedback it would be the distance you have to travel to the cafe to obtain any food and drink from the diving and outdoor pool area. Especially if you're only at the complex as a spectator you can't walk through the complex you need to walk right around the outside
An aquatic sports centre of international standard. Features Olympic pool, diving pool, kids' play pool, great water slide, wave pool and other pools. Would be improved with family change rooms and cubicles in change rooms. Well patrolled and friendly staff. Lots to keep the kids happy and engaged in physical activity for a good few hours. Ample (free) bike parking, close to trams, no need to drive there.
As a local, I have been swimming here 2-3 times a week for many years now, there are no other places in Melbourne where you have a international spec indoor and outdoor 50m competition pools at the proper temps, during non-peak hours, always a lane free to myself. But for the last year it has gone massively downhill, the change rooms are always filthy as if they have neglected the cleaning, but worst of all is after over a year they still haven't fixed the hot water issue for the showers for the outdoor pool. Firstly there was a workaround where you had to run two showers at the same time, wasting our previous water resources, now that trick doesn't even work anymore and the water is just lukewarm at best. It has been well over a year, there is no excuse anymore.
Best sports and aquatic center I have ever been to around Melbourne.
Water quality is excellent. Have never smelled Chlorine or felt any chemicals. Kids love the aquatic center.
Excellent quality of indoor courts and has dedicated courts for various sports. Badminton, Table Tennis, Basket Ball etc.
Finally has an online booking system for court hire, which makes it so much better and easier.
Worst manned reception of any sporting facility in Melbourne. Not possible to talk to anyone over the phone. All direction is sent to a sub standard booking system online which never works.
2 x 50 metre Olympic sized pools. This facility is outstanding for lap swimmers, spashers and adventurers alike. Flowrider and slide great for kids.
Melbourne's Premier Sport & Recreation Facilities
Recommend:
Squash courts
Badminton courts
Stuff at the help desk was super friendly and helpful, that's one of the primary reasons I decided to join the membership. Facilities are perfect. Highly recommended.
Fantastic place inside and out. My kids love the number of different pool options. They have spent many hours in the wave pool as well as improving their stroke in the olympic sized pools.
Offers a lot of facilities (swimming, spas, hydrotherapy pool, etc etc ), which are all kept immaculately clean and for which I offer 5 stars.
I went there to have another shower though (because mine was not working ) for which I would give 2 stars. Reason being the water was cool only, PLUS I had to press the button every 1-2 seconds to get the water going back again.
Good place for kids entertainment have amazing swimming pool with kids wave pool and also gym, canteen, shuttle court etc.
Everything in one place and easy to get to location
Best value for money to go and have a day out. Have taken the children there several times and they have a small wave pool, water slide with the outdoor pool having a surf machine. Sometimes in the large pool they have an inflatable commando course for children. You can take food into there with lockers and showers available. It is part of a sports club so the sauna and spa are off limits unless you are a member
Great area for indoor and outdoor sports activities.
The best ever
Big like
Great place to go for a spa.... There is a wave pool here they have certain times the waves will run. Beautiful facilities. A gym and other places throughout are also available but may need to be booked
I enjoy swimming in outside pool. There is a lawn outside so after swimming you can have a sunbathe.
Absolutely awesome infrastructure. Loved the facilities.
very good facilities even if though somewhat pricy. The only issues i have is that the cafe closes too early for those of us who prefer evening sessions and am not impressed that to hire a locker one has to input the CVV number from your credit card??? why ??? I refuse to input such private data in a public facility like this..
Good facilities, good location in picturesque Albert Park. Parking nearby is overpriced.
Top class facility but parking is difficult to find, especially near the badminton area. Pricy too, compared to other badminton courts, even if you paid the yearly membership.
Great place for various sports. Has facilities for badminton, tennis, gym, swimming both indoor and outdoor, etc.
Awesome place..It includes swimming, badminton, table tennis, squash and basketball court. Online booking available..
2 x 50 m pools and one 25m and a wave pool. Usually pretty good but check lane availability and events calendar because there's a lot of swimming carnivals on.
Range of sports venue. Melbourne's main swimming venue with indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
Pretty good facilities, however recent removal of all drinks that contain sugar is not good for diabetics who might need a bit of sugar to recover from a low.
Our favorite swimming pool. They have waterbabies lessons too
The warm pool is too small and on the weekend you cant use the warm pool untill aftern 1pm.
MSAC is a well known name among sport enthusiasts. I play badminton and table tennis occasionally.
International standards are maintained for courts and infrastructure. Courts are available to hire and weekend is always full. Online pre booking is essential for hiring badminton courts. Badminton Coaching and tournaments are frequently organised on the venue.
Parking is NOT free but you can find 2 hrs or 4 hrs free parking nearby streets.
This is a one stop for all sports.
Amazing center . great place for swimming and relax
The poorest service around. From a patron & former employee.
Worst customer service ever
No reply for 3 business days straight on my emails
Calls made to the office which was empty for 2 business days.
Not just occasional incident
It happened several times in less than 3 months
Very good but they don t allow to people to jump in water which making me feel very bad
Nice place to go even tho abit pricey. Hard to get there with public transport.
Great pool facilities for all ages. Love the kids water park
Awesome pools indoor and out
Spa and sauna too just do it....
Excellent multi sports centre and swimming facilities.
Great basketball courts, could be better cleaned though, courts tend to be slippery and dusty.
What a wonderful venue, l 2as at the basketball courts, modern and comfortable as a spectator ,easy parking, although its paid parking, but very cheap ,across from the beautiful Albert park lake which l ventured over to ,the weather 2as beautiful a great place to sit and watch the world go by ,or do activities or barbecue or picnic,l watched the swabs on the lake prior to returning to the sports arena, the pool area looks amazing too ,such a lovely spot
Sauna follwed by swimming and sitting in the spa, then back to the sauna. Was a relaxing evening spent at MSAC.
