Very poorly run centre by Neanderthal management. Anti-community decisions on parking costs (ridiculous), stupid decions forcing payment for court entry by credit card only, equipment in disrepair. Centre would rather spend tens of 1000's of dollars on landscaping than replace defective basketball rings. Basketball lighting is scandalous in lack of maintenance of defective lights (not to mention the chance of being maimed/killed by falling lights!). Hopeless. Sack the entire board / Management team!

Gym is a tip almost no free weights broken equipment worn out bar and clips make it dangerous not to mention the old creeps looking at the kids in the pool. Not a place for any workout. Stinks of chlorine

OK facility, too many schools using outside lanes. Staff don't care about general swimmers. Inside 50m pool stinks too much of chloramide, ie the bad chlorine. Counter staff is generally good - but some are unbelievable RUDE and INCOMPETENT. The facility has no community feel, if you lose something their attitude is 'TOO BAD - go buy another product form our store'. The facility is only there to create revenue and it shows through their nonchalant staff. STAY AWAY!!

Tried to call in advance to enquire about towel hire but nobody answered. Nothing to do other than the wave pool, the water slide was closed, the flow rider removed and we were kicked out of the spa for 'not having wristbands' by the lifeguards who are very unfriendly - one even laughed at us when we told them we were bored and asked for suggestions. Maybe good for little kids but nothing at all to do there for anyone else. Just go to the beach instead.

Brilliant for early morning lap swimming. Lots of options to choose from with 2 x 25 m pools and 2 x 50m pools. I usually get there around 5.40 in the morning and only get charged $5 for a swim. If you park out on the street before 8am you will park for free. Cant recommend highly enough.

Msac is by the far the best sports facility in Melbourne when it comes to swimming. Unfortunately it is absolutely the most disgusting place I have ever been in terms of hygiene. The last two visits the men s locker room has literally been flowing with urine and have twice in row now found bandages with blood on them in the water. Both times talked to the staff about it and they didn t seem to care one bit.
If you in any way care about hygiene standards and don t want to go in a pool where all the men have been dragging urine from the locker room into the pool, do not go here! My biggest concern is all the school kids who are being raised with hygienic standards like this.

The last and second last time I visited I was harassed by a old man who left me with his severely damaged and disabled son who needed two people to look after him.
He just looked at me and said "you look after him" after manhandling me " I'm going for a swim"
I was totally terrified of both of them. I'm thinking of returning. If I get harassed again Ii I'm calling the police. No one even tried to help me despite lifeguard nearby.

We been using the badminton courts on regular basis at this place for past two years.
But now considering to play elsewhere.
The only reason is introduction of online booking.
It's supposed to be easy but the way they have done it is shocking!
After long and difficult process to register as the members, we can't even login back now.

Some of the best sporting facilities blended with great staff, good location/environment and amazing instructors make MSAC truly unique. I've now tried reformer pilates, TRX, cycle class, hiit, pools, spa, steam room and group fitness and I can highly recommend each and every one of them. You can try everything for 7 consecutive days FOR FREE before you join. With the full membership you get access to a full gym, showers, lockers and 3 hours of parking per day.

It can be a bit pricey, especially when you go to park there too, although you can find plenty of parking here. The staff are polite and careful within the covid restrictions, making sure that everything is maintained and safe. The Albert Park Lake next to it is great to visit afterwards too.

Brilliant facility. Outdoor pool is awesome with zero chance of sun damage under the big roof top.
Pays to check Kane availability in advance on their website as often the 50m pool(s) are closed for events. 25m pool is not a good swimming experience.
Good change facilities for families.
Bit expensive if you just want a quick swim.

I hold a trial membership in the gym. "TOM H" a team member of the gym is very unhelpful, rude and just plain snobbish. Saw him unwillingly assist a lady, not sure why he is so hesitant. He shouldnt be working there if hes not committed to the job. I too tried to seek assistance from him on the first day of gym and he just walked off. Tom usually sits around the gym , chats and fools with his mates.

Certainly lack of "customer service" training.

I was a member and I still would be if I weren't living too far. Two 50m pools, and one smaller one. An impressive gym, sauna, nice change rooms for members. Also swimming clubs available, even divers train there. They have it all

There is a pool where the waves come out, and children over elementary school students can enjoy quite a bit. There is also a zone for small huts for babies, but the facilities are not very well equipped and there are many pools in the suburbs except for pools where waves surf. .
In addition to the pool, there are table tennis, volleyball badminton futsal golf courses, golf practice areas, and so on.
There are some facilities that cannot be used during F1 races.
I think that the price of the pool was low and the regular price was about $ 8.50. I think there was a family discount and it cost about $ 28 for two adults and three children.
The concession card seems to be cheaper.

A large water park, with pools of all sizes and suitable for all types of people. It has large slides and a pool that generates or mimics the tide, with waves. The site is full of lifeguards who are always attentive and very helpful, and it is a place totally suitable for even the youngest children. A good plan to spend a weekend day.

Unfortunately it is very disappointing to see how VERY EXPENSIVE MSAC is starting at $159/month gym membership. One would have thought as a Sports body supported by the State government there would be a drive to get more members in to use the facilities which ultimately should lessen the drain on other State facilities such as hospitals and potentially have social benefits for kids and teenagers keeping them out of trouble etc. Very short term minded and totally uncompetitive compared to other gym memberships which can accommodate your use habits. On top of the totally over the top membership fees there are so few staff to assist you wonder what you are actually paying for because if you hurt yourself in the gym then that's just too bad. I urge MSAC to revisit your pricing and mandate - SOOOO MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING AND YOU ARE DOING A DISSERVICE TO YOUR COMMUNITY!!!!
