Well spaced area. It gets rather busy at times with a lot of kids. Wave time is a hit for all ages. Would be better if the pool was bigger and bigger waves. Splash out is a must for the kids. Adults...be warned you exit pretty fast. Parking on event days is troublesome as all the car parks pack out quickly.

Facilities are good but the online booking system for courts is insane. It's excessive to ask for birth date/gender/street address/post code simply to book a single court for half an hour. Name, number and emergency contact should be all.
Been playing badminton at MSAC for many years. Due to moving to outter suburb have not been there for a few months. Thinking of going back there today. Went in at 1:30pm to book a court for 2 hours tomorrow morning and paid. 2 hours later my friend call to cancel on my. I then call MSAC to cancel my court. A lady picked up he phone and said if you booked and paid then it s too bad so sad. No refund. That s is insane. Guys, do not book your court in advance to try out others places. There are becoming more and more badminton courts around melbourne. Don t go to MSAC.
Great facility but impossible to book as website doesn t work, they hide their phone number (which incidentally tells you to use their website when you ring it) and after searching around to find a different phone number hangs up on you every time - just tried five times with same result. I d be broke if I ran my business this way. Get you act together!!!!!!
Very nice swimming facilities with two 50m competition pools for lap swimmers like me. Parking is hideously expensive though, so probably won t make this place worthwhile as a regular swimming venue.
Online booking makes life easy. Clean and well maintained. A good number of facilities for a variety of sports and activities, though not cheap during peak hours. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wonder place ! plenty of classes in pool gym and wellness center - Wyser classes for older adults fantastic - parking and access to lockers for members - somewhat busy on school holidays and in summer time with school carnival and kids classes - some disruption during Grand Prix ..
Great place for a swim loved the water slides kids had a blast are the recommended for a hot day and anybody looking to take a swim or challenge of selves on the different height diving boards
There is something here for everyone, from babies to the elderly. I like to use one of the 5 pools that always have lane availability. The outdoor pool is my favourite, 50m, fresh air but still covered incase of rain. Plenty of post workout recovery options too, sauna, steam room or spa. I like to make the most of the location abd walk around the park. Pool entry is quite cheap, even cheaper on a Friday evening or for a 20 pack. There are sometimes specials with 4-6 bonus entries. The showers are super clean and there are plenty of them and there is a great cafe with good coffee and healthy options for the post swim munchies.
By far the best basketball court I have ever been to. I take a star away due to the hours of the courts...very inconvenient if you have a full time job. Other than that, great price and facilities
A great place to have s swim with the kids. Plenty of pools. I dont like the fact that you have to now pay for parking as well as a $13 admission fee just to use the pools. Gym membership is about 120+ per month and that includes pool access. Quite pricey to be honest.
Take note they're doing works in the kids area like the slide and wave pool until June. It's a world class facility with two 50m pools, what's not to love about swimming here?
In the last year, it has become increasingly difficult to use any of the swimming pools for lap swimming. There's always something: an aquatic event, a swimming course, sports training or kids events. And the members who are paying to use the facilities are always the lowest priority, with little to no effort to accommodate for paying members when there are events. I won't go into other deficiencies, like the lockers which have been half broken for years and no one has bothered to improve them, despite the fact that they cost $2-$4 to use. I'm tired of paying for facilities I can rarely use, so I'll definitely cancel my membership. There are way better options in Melbourne for lap swimming.
Make sure to go when they don't have all the lanes closed for swim schools and other swim companies. It's a good pool but it kinda defeats the purpose of going when you they have all the lanes closed.
I love this venue for sport. Unfortunately the food range is limited and expensive and they are currently doing renovations on bathrooms which is slightly unpleasant.
we decided to take the family today to MSAC for a great day of water activities, but was very disapinted due to the lack of information provided by staff , we were not imformed that we needed to pay for additoinal activities such as the spa or flowrider.
after entering and having children waiting for 15 minutes at the slide, we were informed that the slide will not be opened due to lack of staff( only because we asked as no staff member had the forethought to inform us!!!)
we were told that the slide will now open at 3pm, so we all waitied again for half an hour and then had to find a staff member a second time as it did not open !!! what a joke!!!
and surprise surprise , the wave pool was cut short due to a lack of staff!!! the large pool was closed due to renovations, and the only other pool was the outdoor one which was too cold to use!!!
what a waste of an efford travelling all the way into the city for some fun with the children, we were not offered an oppology or refund and were still asked to pay the full fee!!! how dissapointing .
i dont think we will be visiting MSAC again in any hurry!!!
I think this place is great and one of my favorite spots in town, difficult to enumerate all the activities they have. The gym is also good and not always crowded.
My experience today 13 August at the hydro pool the life guard cleaning the pool with rod and connected to a small compressor on arrival I ask can i come in. After he stopped and I started my excerize 10 minutes later another life guard started cleaning again I ask them to stop I have a pacemaker and not feel this is ok for me they checked with a supervisor and he told them needs to do it now .I got out so my question is why a pool cleaned BEFORE opening hours and can put a sigh to Pool closed 5-10 min and defenetly rereeducate the supersiver otherwise everyone very nice and helpful allways
Jaw-dropping facilities! They have everything you can ask for: diving pool, indoor & outdoor standard pools, large courts... I wish I can move to the neighborhood one day.
Just wanted to say how much my kids and I enjoyed our day at the MSAC pool yesterday. Everything was wonderful, from the lovely lady who helped us at Reception, to the clean facilities, to the variety of pools available. Special mention goes out to the lady lifeguard on duty at the wave pool around 3.30pm, who was given a hard time by some boys in there not following regulations. She stood her ground and was firm, and cut short the wave pool session due to ongoing misbehaviour. Much as I didnt like to have the session cut short, it was the right thing to do. Rules are there for a reason and no doubt, the rulebreakers will the first to complain should there be an adverse event resulting from not obeying the rules.
We did get charged $5.20 at the carpark for a 9min overstay of the hour, but I guess that was technically our fault! :)
