We had a great experience at The Stonehouse Cafe. The service was quick and the food was delicious.
The food was delicious! I reccomend the biscuits and gravy. The drinks though (coffee and OJ) were not very good. The orange juice I think was from concentrate and the coffee tasted burned.
Wait time is crazy busy....pay attention to the busy times. They are accurate! Will have to come back another time. Menu looks promising
I was just driving by and saw the cute cobble stone wall and had to flip a u to try it out. So glad i came in! I got the tri tip dip and it was phenomenal, so phenomenal i had to order a second one for my hubby! My friend got a bacon cheeseburger and she loved hers also. Definitely coming back on a weekend to try the breakfast and drinks.
To the Stonehouse Cafe and all its staff.
We have dined at the Stonehouse Cafe on a couple of different occasions and we loved the quality of the food and how helpfull all the staff have always been.
So when it came to planning our wedding we decided we wanted something small and intimate with good food and good people. The Stonehouse was our first thought so the next time we where their we asked if they could accommodate a wedding, as always the staff where really enthusiastic and helpfull they gave us the contact information of the events coordinator Rea and said they would pass on our information to her. We recieved a call from Rea and we arranged to go in at a later date to see the event space and discuss what we would like and what could be done. When we arrived we where shown the space and discussed all the finer deatails she was so enthusiastic and excited about having a wedding to arrange and made us feel completely at ease with the whole process. We walked out knowing it was the perfect place for us. With a bakery (seperate business from the stone house) on sight it made everything less stresfull. The baker Patrick he was so friendly and helpfull and just as enthusiastic as the Stonehouse to be apart of our spcial day. As the wedding day approached we decided on a few changes to the menu, we phoned up Rea and she was more than happy to cater to our needs. On the big day we got married on the balcony that had been set up and decorated to fit in to the color scheme of the wedding. with a breath taking view of Lake Washington in the back ground it made the wedding photos so special. After the ceremony they brought the food out, it was presented perfectly and was delicious, there was definately no shortage of food. All of our guests commented on how good the food was and more than one person said it had been the best wedding they had been to with the reception dinner so wonderfully set up. The room was decorated so beautifully. All of the staff where so friendly, helpfull, walm and worked so hard with a smile on their faces. We would happily recommend the stone house to friends and family for special occasions as it was definately stress free at an affordable cost.
Thank you to all the Staff and to the owner Lea Ann at the Stonehouse cafe!!
Steven and Linzi
Pretty good food and a nice view from the outdoor seating. Eggs Benedict was good but the homemade crumpets were a little heavy. Slightly pricey and the coffee comes in mason jar mugs that don't do much to keep it hot. Aside from those two minor issues, I would come back. The pancakes looked good and were huge. Worth checking out.
The food was good, the atmosphere was nice. It's pricy though.
I would give it a minus star if possible... worest experience every at a restaurant. Took friends from out of town for breakfast 7/28/18. We live across the street from Stone House....after waiting 1 1/2 hour-and 4 requests to manager for our food order we left with no service, my wife informed the manager in graphic detail how upset we are. Never....every eat there
Interesting interior and nice view. We had a breakfast there. We had smoke salmon sandwiches and Egg Benedict. I wanted to have a soup with the sandwiches but it had to heat up by microwave, I opted to salad. Food were pretty good but the service was slow.
There is a parking lot.
Had a great birthday lunch with my brother and sister in law food was great and service was good....
TERRIBLE FOR GROUPS!!!
4 people from our party of 10 got here at 10:30 to make an 11:00 reservation.
At 11:05, in spite of the fact that 8 out of 10 of us were here, they gave away our table. Now, at 12:25, half of us are waiting outside in the sun, while the pregnant woman and toddler were begrudgingly allowed to sit inside.
I'd like to say that I'll log in later to report on whether or not their food is worth the wait... but it's not!
Exceptionally gourmet food (which was kind of out of place in such a rustic locale) unfortunately spoiled with the equally extraordinarily poor and probably understaffed service. 3 stars only because our breakfast was still so good even though we received it cold...which is truly a crime to the cooking staff. The waitress checked on us once in 20 minutes (I counted) and made no mention of the underservice. I'd give them another shot when hopefully they have their act together.
My Maple old fashioned way delightful. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Solid five stars.
Terrible service. Waited an hour for our food. It came out incorrect. Our waitress could care less if the food was incorrect or brought out timely. Our waitress was not friendly or caring. It is quite unfortunate but we will not return and would advise others to use caution.
Staff was very friendly and the food was great and well priced. Lovely place to eat brunch on the lakeside. The coffee is also good. Only issue was our glasses both had lipstick on them.
Really good food in a laid back atmosphere. The chicken and dumplings are filling and awesome
Great breakfast food! So happy to have this nearby. Biscuits and gravy are very good.
A beautiful location, the house is an amazing place. However the dining room is incredibly small so going there when it's busy will mean a fairly long wait (though in the spring and summer they might open the patio which would double their seating capacity). The food is okay, though I believe a bit over-priced for the quality. And, while I admit I may have gone on a day when they were not at their best, when I asked for extra napkins the ones they brought me were all slightly damp and the sugar packets my date wanted to use for her coffee were petrified and unusable. All in all not the best dining experience for the cost though we the view from our window seat was great.
Ok...I get it it's the airport. But the Rainer breakfast was not worth the effort it took to eat it. Eggs were made like McDonald's formed in some sort of patty. They were cold and so was the bacon.
Ridiculous!
Great breakfast, great service. Today was our first time eating here, and we'll definitely be back!
Service was slow but the menu was creative and the food was good.
My husband and I are regulars here. I try to have something different every time I visit and every time the food is absolutely delicious. They make good strong drinks and have very friendly staff.
Great view, food was and our service was very friendly ~ we enjoyed!!
Always a great place to do. Awesome food, great people, and a great view!
I have been to The Stonehouse Cafe a few times. The service has always been friendly. Their coffee is very good, and their pastries are delightful. I look forward to eating a full meal there in the future.
I've been intending to visit Stonehouse Cafe for ages & finally made Valentine's day reservations. Bold move not knowing the ambiance but YOLO! Parking was free and easy in the gravel lot nextdoor but not good for the wife's high heels. The building is adorable, river stone facade and they offer outdoor dining on the deck overlooking Lake Washington on nice days.
There are two dining rooms, one in the more rustic, gas station themed bar area and one in a more cozy, fireside room. Both are pretty awesome in their own way.
The menu is excellent. One side is lunch and dinner, the other is all day breakfast! Cocktails were excellent. We had the salad, soup, the steak and prawns, followed by peanut butter chocolate cake and red velvet cake. All the food was tasty and well prepared.
That said, our table neighbors food looked tempting too! So we will be back!
Arbitrary location, yet great restaurant. Food did not disappoint, good service and a small bakery in the same building. Only knock against the place is that parking is tough once the small lot fills up.
Great brunch. Service was a little slow but food was excellent and location is lovely.
Great food! Fun place. The country-fried steak was especially good. Portions are very generous.
This place is nice. But. . Yes a little over priced.
Great view, food and ambiance. Only had breakfast tho...
My husband and I have always drove by and kept saying we need to check this place out. Finally did and the food was amazing!! The atmosphere was great and had a nice outside table with a view of lake Washington. I love what they did to this place! !
Great location by the water and I really like the interior. The food is a bit expensive and doesn't taste amazing. But I would gladly go here again.
Nice place! Good food and friendly staff! Drive by here alot been meaning to stop in. Glad I did! Will come back here again! I would recommend this place to my friends! Need to come back when the weather is warmer and try the outside dinning! Would be a nice place to reserve for a private party!
Chicken & waffle was delicious, wings good, onion rings had greasy batter. Nixe little spot to sit outaide. We will be back.
Tasty food and amazing drinks, very limited vegetarian selections hence the four stars.
Came in with my father @ 830 on a Tuesday. Ordered Seattle s #1 biscuits and gravy . The biscuits were old without doubt cooked prior to their closed day Monday - gravy chalky and flavorless.
I would recommend the location - but the food needs some love and attention. Too bad - had high hopes.
Delicious food, great ambiance with a great view of Lake Washington!
We LOVE this place! Even on rainy days it has great views. Food is always delicious and hot on delivery to your table. I keep trying news things and adding new favorites. The egg bake with salmon is my new favorite. Biscuits n sausage gravy and The heater are both mouthwatering.
Quaint and rustic restaurant cafe with a well executed menu of diverse comfort food classics. I absolutely loved the chicken dumplings on a rainy afternoon. On the other hand, when it's warm and sunny the patio is a great place to hang out and watch the view of Lake Washington.
A bit of a wait (small cafe) but worth it for breakfast. Fresh good food & great service. And don't forget to stop by the bakery.
Cheers to a great staff, and being flexible as an event space. I am not sure how often event occur at the place but it went great.
Great food, great surroundings and quick efficient service... we will be back...
You know the food's good when you finished your plate, but wished you could've had everything else that was ordered, too. Fluffy pancakes, brioche french toast two inches thick, chicken-fried steak and gravy from heaven, and eggs Benedict with ham steak cut a half-inch thick. Everything was delicious, we'll definitely be returning.
Nice place with a great food selection and a nice upstairs area for large parties or reservations. Their Biscuits and gravy is the best and their staff are nice.
Not bad, not great. Cool atmosphere and the view is wonderful
Got the breakfast burrito. It was mostly just hot spinach with a touch of egg and rubbery cheese. Staff was not paying much attention. Will not be coming back.
The worst restaurant at SeaTac. Breakfast burrito was inedible, waiter was in a hurry and the place was empty. He got my drink order wrong. Never saw him again at my table but he was wandering around the whole time.
Wonderful location with a nice view of the water. I took the benedicts, and paid $14. The eggs were well done, yolks included. I got about 1 tablespoon of hollandaise sauce... with half a slice of canadian bacon on each muffin. It was served with a tiny dish of passed-their-prime fruits. This isn't worth $14. My friend got the poutine. Which was pretty tasty and a large serving.
Brunch fare is good, not great. Still have to attempt dinner here. Wish they would mix up the menu a little bit. The early weekend waitstaff need to get it together or be replaced. I say this after coming here several times to get a better feel and have determined that it is not an isolated incident. There's one particular young girl--might be related to the owner--has a word tattooed behind her left ear and a huge chip on her shoulder. She's completely rude and has poor table-side etiquette, not only from multiple personal experiences but from also observing and listening to other tables complain about her amongst themselves. It's a real turn off. Granted (at the aforementioned time) they're young and obviously inexperienced, it leave your attitude at home and be professional. Lastly, learn to not reach over my plate while I'm eating and nearly knock me in the head to refill the water glass on the other side of the table. Gracefully walk over there and fill it up. Sheesh.
Loved the poutine. Reminds me of what they serve in Canada. The Adobo chicken wings was great! Wife loves them. Portions pretty good too. Wished we came here sooner.
Ended up getting a biscuit sandwich when I ordered biscuit and gravy, but not like that was a bad thing. Not salty, Yea, but bread on my sweetie crispy chicken sandwich was strangely salty. Home fries just crispy enough, and yummy bakery attached.
This was my favorite brunch spot!!! Over the past months food quality went down a lot. For example, I ordered roasted veggie salad and veggies had little black food particles as if it was cooked in a pan that wasn t cleaned well. great atmosphere and building, but I won t be returning. :(
Nice views and great service. The decor and atmosphere was a little scattershot. Cozy in some parts, retro pieces, modern touches here and there. The coffee was served extremely hot to the point where I couldn't take a full drink until well after my breakfast finished. Would have been great for a to-go order. I got the breakfast hash. The eggs were an absolute delight as well as the jam for the toast. The meat had some hard gristle in it which was a pain. The potatoes on it we're great but not enough of them.
Service was merely serviceable. They were not particularly busy but they were about to close so maybe that accounted for it. Still 5 stars because the food was amazing. A wide selection and breakfast all day means almost everyone should be able to find something they love. Parking is a bit of a hassle but again... The food is the thing.
Lovely spot for breakfast or lunch on a sunny day. Beers on tap (I had an IPA), small but careful menu (I had roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and honey, and fish and chips).
It was my first time at this restaurant and I had really enjoyable experience. Place was clean and well-maintained with interesting design, good customer service and delicious food, definitely will be back.
Mediocre food, and expect to wait a LOOOONG time to get it
Ordered a chicken sandwich via Uber Eats. Where s the chicken!?!?!?
The iceberg lettuce slices are thicker than the chicken.
Service just OK, food good and bad. May have lost some of it's original zest. Limited parking, but good views.
So this was my first time there and it was with a group of 15. There was a larger group upstairs. It was a Thursday night at 7pm. There was 2 other groups there downstairs with us, one of 6 and the other of 4 that arrived after we were seated but hadn't ordered. We order at 745 and didn't get our food until 915 and they close at 10. The food was ok. Overpriced for sure. Kona Mule was good. Service was meh. I'll try it again in the spring or summer when its nicer out and I can enjoy the scenery and not have to wonder when I'm going to eat.
Food and drinks are pretty good, service is pretty good, but their hours are ridiculous. Would love to be able to dependably go here, but they're never open when needed.
View was amazing. We sat outside. Food was fantastic. The waitress was the nicest person ever. Lattes and chai were delish. Atmosphere was awesome, inside and out. Highly recommend
Loved the food. Great view of lake Washington and really nice service.
literally the worst service i have ever had. the woman waiting on me kept demanding i pay the check after everything i ordered, ask me questions every two minutes and kept threatening to call the manager all while severely invading my personal space. I have never not tipped before, this will be a first.
People were very friendly. I ordered a waffle and was the best I ever had
Breakfast here is the best. Try the Benedict with smoked salmon.
And for dinner the short ribs.
Wow! What a great vibe and exceptional food and service. We had a three course Valentine's meal all served within a great time. I love the lighting and great music, made for easy to read the menus and easy to talk whole also enjoying the killer soul classics that were being played. Can't wait to go back.
Not sure why there are negative reviews for this place. Food was awesome, service was awesome, and it has a perfect vibe for the area. Highly recommend. The biscuits and gravy were top notch.
Good menu. The nacho fries were just ok. The roasted brussel sprouts were excellent.
Great food though kinda spendy. If you got stacks then who cares?
Fantastic food, great service, superb view to Lake Washington.
I asked for meat and eggs to be cooked well.
But I got raw meat with blood.
