We went to the Banksy exhibition; absolutely fabulous. Afterwards we enjoyed lunch on the balcony at the cafe overlooking Aotea Square. Excellent efficient staff, food choice and decor.
The large atrium has a gob-smackingly large tapestry, stunning up close and from a distance.

I was at the Writers Festival 19 May 2019, a person fell down the stairs as the lights were turned down completely. Luckily the person appeared unhurt. There were a lot of people with disabilities. I do think they should leave lights on for people. The speaker asked for the lights to be put up.

Excellent, friendly staff at this theatre. I went to a ballet alone, with a broken arm in a cast and sling. There were things i required some assistance with. Staff were extremely helpful as were patrons sitting next to me.

Went here for a graduation ceremony. After being told by Auckland uni prior to the ceremony that I could take a pram in so my baby could sleep I was then told by staff they didn't allow prams.
At the end of the ceremony during the singing of the national anthem my baby started screaming so I decided to leave so as not to disturb other people but an usher actually physically barred my exit and stopped me from leaving due to the 'sacred' nature of the song. She was very rude and unreasonable.
Baby changing facilities were terrible, only one was open on another level and there wasn't a toilet I could use while baby was somewhere safe.

Great venue, wonderful staff. Amazing shows. A wonderful asset to Auckland and New Zealand. The Auckland Live staff are always so helpful and friendly. If you want a nice coffee stop into the box cafe. Again friendly staff there too.

The conference/convention centre next to the aotea square. Lots of windows/glass-wall which gives you a nice open feeling, though the interior feels a bit dated. The catering are quite nice, but parking is always challenging; your best bet is to either use the Civic Car Park, or even better: public transport.

Amazing venue located in the heart of Auckland and the Aotea Arts Quarter. The Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre is New Zealand's largest modern tiered auditorium & is truly stunning after all the renovations. The cafe is also a good spot for a quick bite to eat.

What a bad venue! We went to see some outstanding ballet performance and got, as we thought, good seats in the stalls...it is not easy to describe our disappointment - the seats of the first 10 or more rows were on the same level, so it wasn't possible to see half the performance. For the first time in my life i wished i was on the balcony. Absolutely terrible- one of the worst venues I've ever been to!
I may safely say that i will never come back to Aotea centre to see a performance again.

Great experience. Had a meal before the show, and the vibe was brilliant even though the weather was cold and wet. Staff were great, but the prices for buying drinks or food within the Aotea Centre was a little high.
Seating was comfortable, and parking is plentiful .

We saw Snow Patrol here recently and it was amazing. The service at the bar is quick with no delay. Lots of toilets to avoid the usual queues in the ladies.
The theatre itself was clean with good acoustics and helpful staff.
