Nice spot for a concert, although the line was extremely long so make sure you arrive with time to spare.

Went to McMenamins Edgefield for a company gathering, we go every year. Nice place, the staff is extremely helpful, food is always great.
I have been to Edgefield 3 times now. The first to time was just to enjoy the grounds, the second was to perform with Michael Franti, and the third to celebrate my engagement. We made a reservation for this week and I confirmed all the closures on their website AND covid-19 page. I also called to confirm all those details. When we checked in we were told that NOTHING was open even for take out. We had to stay in our rooms and were not even allowed to eat or drink on the grounds (even though there golf course was open and you could drink out there). Our room was 90 degrees with no AC, just a small fan to plug in. Instead of being locked in our room with nothing but room service (no phones to call or descriptions of where/who to call for what food and drinks) we decided not to waste the $250 we were charged for our single queen room for one night...
On top of being locked in our room, when we did leave our room we were glared at and ignored by nearly every staff member there and the blonde girl at the front desk was an ABSOLUTE nightmare who was so disgustingly rude to us when we tried to ask questions or get clarification on closures and REFUSED to give us our receipt when we checked out! We drove three hours there, stayed long enough to get a quick bite to eat and drove 3 hours home. It was one of the WORST experiences we have ever had and definitely the worst customer service we have ever had. There were 4 other groups of people right behind us just as upset and undereducated about what was really going on there, waiting to cancel and leave as well.
Being country bumpkins we were greatly impressed with the surroundings. But did not like the waiting in line to order at the prices they charged, seating on the outside patio was nice.
Great place to go with friends for an event, drinks, or dinner. We've even stayed overnight and gotten a babysitter :) Check out the m
ovies available and outdoor concerts. Lots to do and great date night!
Awesome space for events! Great time at first ever brewfest at Edgefield!
I was here for a wedding, lovely venue by Portland. They seemed to provide good service and it was easy to get to, but I can't comment on most of what they do as I was just a wedding guest.
Holiday buffet was really good and very well organised.
Excellent place to go for blown glass home brewed beer and great customer service
Such a fun spot. Food, service and options are all great here
We attended a concert here, and it was incredible. I loved the setup with all of the nature around, and yet the area is very well maintained. Seating was well organized and the acoustics we're good. Recommended venue for sure.
Great experience, very popular so there are waits. So worth the wait though. So much to explore
What an adventure! I was hesitant about being in a hostel rather than a room but it was a great experience and would book again :)
I'm planning my wedding at Edgefield and the planners are great!
Love the food love the staff. Great gathering place.
The food was excellent and delivered quickly. However compared to other Mcmenamins the menu was rather limited which was disappointing. Even with a one page menu though, the atmosphere of the place is excellent and really just has a nice feel.
What a lovely compound that produces some incredible experiences!
Booked 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived we were told our reservation had been cancelled but us when it hadn't. They were able to find us a room with one queen size bed for three people. When I asked if anything else was available the front desk was extremely rude and unaccommodating. We went to our room and the paint was literally falling off the ceiling and walls, no fans, ac or any air flow on a very hot day. We felt very unwelcome and will not be returning.
Went for someone's birthday. I didn't get to walk around the grounds but the place is awesome. Try the savory slow roasted boar, I'm glad I did!
McMenamins Edgefield is a lovely property. Walking gardens filled with all different kinds of plants. The building itself is well maintained. Glass blowing in a separate area is really fun to watch. Attached small winery is very cozy. We didn't eat or drink this time. Their gift shop is the best.
Great facility. Enjoyed a movie and some Cajun tots. Great service.
Our server, though busy, was great! She made sure we kept warm, as it was particularly chilly that night.
Bring cash to concert events. When doing your passport, the Little Red Shed is unavailable if it's a concert night and you are not attending the concert. Plan accordingly. Decent place overall. Winery is great. Service in the restaurants is generally slow. It's basically an adult playground. Good for a getaway.
I stopped in for lunch with some friends, beautiful location, service was poor and food was mediocre.
Had a great time but the bar downstairs smells like stale pee.
Always nice place to wander around with your family drink. And the food is just delicious. If you like little adventure with a reward get their passport
Very nice location. Golf, spa, movie theater, and summer concerts. Multiple food and drink locations, from fine-ish dining to burgers, with beers and wines produced on site
Always have a wonderful time here... such a threat concept! People are great, food is delicious, and the drinks... no matter what your preference... are amazing
Quirky but comfortable. Lots of things to do and see on the grounds
awesome concert venue, food is a little mediocre but it's out in a field
What can I say. Go seek and you shall find. Not all are the same. Good beer ( and other adult refreshments) and food.
The his was horrible! What was supposed to be a romantic, relaxing, calling && nice place became the one that we will never go to again!! No one asked if we needed anything or directions when we walked inside. The outside was gorgeous but as we walked to the spot where a "live band" was playing, well turns out it wasn't much of a band nor were or did they look happy up there. No judgement towards them but I felt like everyone was high on something. Our food was disgusting && when I say discussing I mean there was absolutely NO flavor in my food && my husbands hamburger was still mooing!!! It was horrible!!
Had a great experience at the Black Rabbit Restaurant. Waiter was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Food was very good, the sauce on the roast chicken was amazing. The strawberry rhubarb crepes were to die for. And, we got to hear part of the Jackson Brown concert from the parking lot.
Awesome place to spend the night. Take the time to take the tour of the inside of the hotel and learn some neat history!
Simply the finest Mcminamins I have been to. Only three so far. Food and service are fantastic. Staying is ok, but I prefer private bathrooms.
The rooms were lovely, the food is ok but the beer is great
Love this property. Only negatives would be majority of rooms after shared bath and can definitely get noisy at night, especially if you aren't up terribly late
A nice place to visit. However it does get pretty crowded.
Would be neat if the had some kind of ambient noise playing in the hallways to drown the noise of foot traffic.
The grounds and space in edgefield is great. Lots of atmosphere. The food is average.
Power Station has great burgers and there beer is always good
The room was very nice. Very spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful. The food was great as I have come to expect from McMenamins.
This place is amazing, it was a poor farm, and the mcmenamins saved it. The place has tons of stuff to xo, from the bars with shuffle board, to the soaking pool. This place also has hostels for 35 a night, super reasonable. The place is huge! I recommends getting a map, because you can get lost super easily.
Werid, funky and fun. Just what you'd expect from McMenamins. Room was good but the grounds were amazing. The golf courses are really nice yo have right there. Great place to spent a weekend.
All depends on what you are looking for. I know this was a first time for us and we will never com back. We felt like this is a place for a bunch of weird people. Not a place you want to take your family to.
I attended a wedding event. The event itself was very good and went smoothly. As an attendee everything looked great. The couple probably have a few bad stories so do your research throughly
Beer was good...service a little slow. I just wish the Mcmenamins franchise would put some effort and money into the places they already have. Carpets are dingy ....things need dusted. Years of Finger prints on door jambs.
This place is amazing. Well worth staying the night. Drop the kids with the grand parents and treat yourselves here. You won't be disappointed.
I love staying at Edgefield! I could stay for a week without getting bored easy.
We attended a wedding reception at Edgefield and it was lovely! The food was delicious and you can't go wrong with their cider!
Lots of bars scattered around great Oregon scenery without having to trval far.
A great place that provides a fun and whimsical location that is full of history and story. Simple, but very nice rooms that provide free access (and robes!) to the soaking pools. Breakfast can be delivered to bed if requested. During your stay you can soak in the atmosphere, relax at a study, or have a drink or meal at one of the many venues on site.
It's not far from Portland but has a feeling of getting away from it all. Plus the soaking pool is wonderful.
Edgefield Concerts on the Lawn - Nathaniel Rateliff We recently attended Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats at Edgefield, they were great, the venue not so much. While this is a popular venue, I'm not that impressed, and I'm not sure it meets the hype. Many of the view points are blocked by trees and people standing, and the sound quality is pathetic. The lack of venue staff coordinating seating in the arena is bizarrely contrasted to the dozens of people working and coordinating in the parking lot. Inside many people ignored the rules and had huge blankets taking up way too much room, and some had tall chairs. The food choices were reasonable, but there were some limitations when dietary restriction were taken into account. Food prices we're predictably high. The water provided was a great idea. The restrooms were prolific. We would not attend another concert here.
McMenamins Edgefield is my favorite mcMenamins! So much fun things to do at this location. Wine tasting, soaking pool, mini golf, great food and tasty drinks!
The food was good, altho it was boiler plate food that everyone has and a litttle pricy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpfull and the atmosphere was nice. Overall a good place.
I was here for a jazz concert. The parking was easy, the food was decent. Cash
Their fries are delicious! Their black rabbit Porter is a favorite of mine. Beautiful location and buildings. Haven't stayed overnight yet but hope to in the future.
Went for a work Christmas party and had an excellent dinner at the black rabbit, drinks at the bars and hung out by the fire pits, the room was comfortable. I love the old school feel!
The shops and restaurants here are fun for a visitor like myself.
Went to the Ween concert. Show was great, beer was good. The baked potato could have used a little more baking though.
Food was great and the atmosphere here was quite enjoyable. Would highly suggest this Mcmenamins if you haven't been yet. Take some time to enjoy it all.
I have been coming here for 15 years. It is a gorgeous place with great bars and restaurants all over the property. Drinks are well made, food is a bit pricey but still tasty. The vibe is always laid back and casual, this is a spot to bring a date, friends or co-workers. Weekends get busy so if you really want to have the best experience possible come hang out during the week. Make sure to talk to the staff they are great! And the artwork is something else! So unique and historic too!
Didn't get the chance to eat or drink while there, showed up just a bit too late. Still had tons of fun and just walked around for a good 30 minutes to an hour. Theres lots to do, lots to see, but most of it at the time I went wasn't operational. Will definitely try again next time I'm through!
Great place to take a walk around the beautiful grounds, play golf, visit with friends. Stop in to one of little pubs for refreshment.
I am absolutely obsessed with their grilled cheese sandwich! and it's not just any ordinary grilled cheese sandwich this bad boy has truffles in it with butternut squash. Truly delectable!
We had a small group for my wifes birthday,it was very nice.
Cute, funky and eclectic. Loved the entire property, dining, drinking, shopping and relaxing options. We will be back!
I usually enjoy my time at Edgefield. I only eat in the Power Station and, honestly, i don't go for the food, I go for the scenery and grounds. I have found the staff to be very nice although the place does get very busy. There is a lot of variety of bars so you can usually find a small intimate place if that is what you are looking for. One great spot is the Wine Cellar which has wine tasting and only seats about 25 people. They sometimes have a musician that you can listen to as you sip wine. Edgefield is also a great place to bring guests from out of town.
Edgefield has been my favorite McMenamins for many years. Grab a beer and walk around their many outside locations. Black rabbit restaurants is always a good choice. Jerry's Ice House on the back of the main building is one of the more chill bars on site. The Red Shed is surrounded by trees in offers limited drinks but great views in a cozy atmosphere. Power station has a walk-up bar for those of you not wanting to wait and provides a more casual dining experience then the black rabbit restaurant does. If you're looking for a romantic weekend Edgefield offers massages and a soaking pool. Plenty of rooms on site to spend a weekend. Concerts here are outside and are a great time. Can not recommend this place any higher. It is one of the best places to visit in the area and a must-see for anyone who is visiting Oregon.
