The venue was easy to find and parking was readily available. Brought the kids and they had fun with the face painter and balloon artist. We loved hearing the bag-pipers and the live bands/singers. The property is gorgeous! We would like to visit overnight some time.

Great property. Wonderful place to spend a sunny day. Or hang out in one of the many bars on a blustery evening. Food and beer are mostly average, but the whole package is top notch!
Love Edgefield. Been going pretty much since they opened. One of the main places I tell out of town people to go. Great beer, decent food, amazing property and lots of things to do there.
Love McMenamins properties. Buy their passport and start stamping your way to COSMIC TRIPSTER statis. Try Ruby's spa soaking pool.Always a fun time there!
If I could I would put negative stars for this place. Today I had the worst service of my life! After we ordered our food, the server took more than 1 hour to bring it for us. Also, my husband order did not come together :( He was very frustrated, he said that he did not want his order anymore, so 10 min after that the server showed up with his food... really!?? He only said that he doesn t want it anymore. Our server came again and told us that the delay was our fault because we ordered our food in different time. Ok! Why the others in our table already had their plates? After 5 min the girl who was delivering the plates came to us and said that my husband need to be more respectful with his server. We did not believe!!! First we were accused to be responsible for the delay in our order after that we were insulted. It was not the first time we had troubles at McMenamins, but for sure it will be the last one.
25 Minutes to sit at the bar was more than we could wait. 90 Minutes for the main restaurant. Given that it was Saturday night it's obviously a popular venue.
So far this place is beautiful. The staff was very welcoming. I am kind of sceptical about staying in a dorm style environment. For now I'm going to be optimistic. I will post update soon. Thanks
We had the most enjoyable stay at Edgefield. Www had lunch in the Power Station and it was very good. Had a delicious dinner at the Black Rabbit Bar and a nice breakfast there the next day. The saltwater soaking pool is very nice and relaxing. The service in every area was very good. I look forward to returning and would recommend Edgefield to anyone.
Been many times, first time as overnight guests. Pros, big rooms king size bed. Cons, no personal bathrooms, no TV in rooms and no A/C. Probably won't stay the night again unless we are attending a concert.
I went to a Christmas Party on Tuesday the 7th, and I asked for a special food prep for my brother and Courtney was very helpful and made an extra effort so that I get what I have requested. Robert the cook who prepared the food and blended it without any problem and had done a marvelous job, They both had done a very outstanding job. Thanks you so much.
Edgefield has a fantastic wine bar and whiskey 'shed'. If you're going to visit a Mcminnemans, Edgefield is one of the best. It's really easy to get to from I-84.
One of my favorite cplaces to visit! Edgefield is such a great venue. Multiple bars and restaurants, beautiful scenery, great drinks, and awesome decor. I love to look at all the paintings in the hotel and staying there overnight is such a treat! Their soaking pool is amazing and looks whimsical! I love to stay here and treat myself to a relaxing getaway. Mcmenamins has great food and drinks, some that they even make there! Such as wine and beer. My favorite spot to eat is the Black Rabbit bar, they have a great happy hour! I also love the little Red Shed with the firepits outside. Perfect spot to have a late night drink and enjoy the firepits, which are covered, so nice! I love just walking around the property and enjoying the nature. I recommend Edgefield to people all the time! Also a great spot for a wedding venue.
I went to Lucky's Pool Hall for drinks and had a great time. The bartender and staff were extremely friendly. The environment is fun with lots of games to play.
Have eaten here many times over the years, always excellent. Great food, beverages, and service. A nice little getaway not far from Vancouver and Portland.
My wife and I got married at McMenamins Grand Lodge so, for 15th anniversary we thought we'd celebrate, and get a room at Edgefield. We did. Great meal. The staff and kitchen at The Black Rabbit always deliver. The food was hearty, flavorful, local, balanced, and over all...lovely. The staff friendly without being bumptious. We've seen movies at the theater there. Not at this visit. At different ones. I'm not reviewing the Theater or the restaurant. Let's talk about trying to sleep there. In a word: fuggetaboutit. Let's be honesty. There is no way to sleep comfortably there. The bed (a queen size) was insufferably lumpy and squeaky. It's a brewpub, Winery... a theater. It never really quiets down. Even after One or Two in the morning you'll still hear the odd drunkie or two slip and fall down the stairs. I can only imagine trying to "sleep it off" there.
The vegan "burger" is so good! It is fun to walk around the grounds with your drink in hand and the soak pool is so relaxing. You can stroll through the vineyard with a glass of wine in hand and take it all in. This place is beautiful. Great golf course as well!
Stopped by the Power Station late after a Gorge hike. Busy room but the servers handled it well. Had happy hour menu cheeseburger with huge basket of tots. Brewers salad was tasty with pickled red onions and hazelnuts. Prices seem a bit high at $11 for a plain burger, but McMenamins isn't really about cheap food anymore. I do enjoy coming here on a occasion.
Get the wings at the Black Rabbit you're life will be changed forever! Then go watch a concert in the grass and forget about your kids, while they have the time of their lives playing with other kids (yup that is still a thing) THEN check out another Mcmennamins hotel or restaurant because they are amazing!
I've seen the Avett Brothers here a few times now. Overall it's a pretty great venue. I wish they weren't cash only though. It's definitely stopped me from making purchases. I'm there to see a concert, not to stand in line for the ATM then stand in line for food and not even be able to see the show while I'm waiting.
Spendy, but worth every penny...the rib eye, the thick pork chop, the beets, blueberry-lemon ice cream, all delicious. But the buildings, the land, the grounds, the winery and bars, the furnishings, the comfort...we came an hour early but it wasnt enough.
This place is amazing. I had a great time exploring the grounds and visiting the grove, the vineyard, the distillery, and the spa. The staff was friendly all around and the experience was top-notch.
Amazing campus, tons of amenities. The spa and soaking pool made for a relaxing evening even on a chilly night. Staff was very professional and accommodating.
Each time here is a different experience, but it is a bit overrated. The food is quite good too in regards to pub meals. Service is average, but the atmosphere is why I go here.
Great brunch at the black rabbit. The food was very good and the environment at any McMenamins is always a special experience. It is a little pricey, but the experience makes up for it.
Got terrible serves at the front desk. Was literally told I couldn't rent a room. Granted, I wanted to rent a room for access to the spa pools -which are awesome- but when I was willing to change my plans and stay the night, they told me "No" just because I mentioned that was my original intention. This blew my mind and leftme with a sour taste for this place. I would have left it at that but Google Opinions asked me for my review so...plan accordingly, I guess. Or, just don't mention the spa pools. :p
I like to call this place a playground for adults. Although kids are certainly welcome, Edgefield is a great place for adults to get away and have some fun. They have a large game room with billiards, shuffleboard, darts and pinball games, a pitch and putt golf course where you get a 3 iron and putting wedge, excellent food, wine and craft beer. The great part is if you want to extend your stay they have rooms you can reserve at really affordable prices. There is even a Zen wading pool and they host awesome concerts. If you haven't been and any of that sounds interesting, then you should.definitely check it out.
Best place to stay the weekend with your spouse or significant other.. Great drinks, shows, spa, food, accommodations, salt water pool....just all around great place to be with the one you love.
Edgefield is one of the best properties owned by McMenamins. So much to see and do. Drive out for dinner, spend a weekend spoiling yourself with a staycation or anything in between.
