Noisy too next to the bathrooms I'll avoid next time but still love edgefield. Soaking pool is the best.
Noisy too next to the bathrooms I'll avoid next time but still love edgefield. Soaking pool is the best.
My favorite place on the East side of Oregon, have both indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. Love the beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages that are featured monthly. I love the atmosphere, the grounds spreads for miles with beautiful green vegetation....I can go forever about this place
Always a good time at this place, get a room and stay the night!
I love this place, the service is always fast and exceptional. I recommend it to anyone looking for a bar to go with their friends!
We went for a birthday dinner. Had dinner, drinks, and dessert. Everything was excellent, carolers came by our table which our kid loved. Very memorable night, everything was perfect! I recommend the wild boar and kolsch.
Good visit today. I took 15 seniors out for lunch and to wander the grounds. The staff was very accommodating. Parking was really difficult since I was in a large bus. Very limited parking for large rugs, the field was closed and the front desk gave little assistance to help me.
We were there for a catered brunch. While the location was beautiful, the food was lack luster. My husband and I both has the smoked salmon eggs benedict, and it had no flavor beyond just salmon. The hollandaise was just flavorless goop on top. I will say the bacon that was on the kids dish was delicious, but the rest was meh. The servers were helpful, and attentive. And the grounds were awesome to stroll in. I might go back just to visit the spa but avoid restaurants.
Love coming here for a drink and food, especially enjoy going to Lucky's downstairs for a lucky drop and a slice of pepperoni pizza with their house made ranch!!! So yummy!
Love the grounds, don't go unless you have plenty of time to spend there.
Edgefield is a wonderful, fun place! My husband and I stayed overnight in a king with a private bathroom. The soaking salt water pool (heated) was in a beautiful setting and allowed you to bring drinks into it from the nearby bar. There's also a spa located right next to the pool. The Black Rabbit restaurant was exquisite--fancy and somewhat pricey, but it was an elegant experience. If you are looking for the traditional pub food that McMenammins restaurants have, there are several pubs and bars that serve burgers and other items. There's a beautiful garden, and a fun glass blowing demonstration and shop. We didn't have time to explore everything, but will be back for more!
Was there for the first time and thought it was very nice
Par for the course, there was plenty to drink and eat. Beautiful site, even in the rain. I recommend the Black Cherry Hard Cider or the Ruby Red Ale.
Amazing place to visit. Beautiful charm and lots to do. Wine tasting, beer tasting, glass blowing and pottery. Loved the facility.
O.....M.....GOSH!!!! do very little research into this place and you will fall in love with it. There is truly something for everyone (unless you just wanna keep sitting on your lazy a$$ and slowly killing yourself). There are several different places to eat, tons of attractions (like glass blowing, tours, wine, beer, or spirit tastings) and a LOT of history to learn about in a fun, happy environment. You owe it to yourself to see this amazing bit of history and culture (and seriously, get up and move around a bit, dang!).
Have been a few times and enjoyed it but can be super busy on the weekend
Nice fire pits and lots of areas of interest to explore. Often live music in the many pubs.
We had one of the greatest lives of our night here. 5 stars! We will be back
It was pretty good! Really beautiful landscape outside and the food is fine!
The food was excellent, as was the service. Love the atmosphere.
Loved staying here! Lots to see and do on the property, including lots of places to eat, a large soaking pool (basically a giant tropical hot tub with a pool side bar), a movie theater, a golf course, a winery, a distillery, and lastly lots of beautiful gardens to walk around. We went on a day without any big events so it was quiet and wonderful. King size bed was very comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are shared but there are multiple bathrooms on each floor and you have your own room with a door inside the lounge. It's not like a tiny shower stall or anything like that. No AC in the rooms so on a hot day it might be a bit uncomfortable, but we just opened the windows at night and a box fan was already on in the room. Great deal for the price. 15 mins outside of Portland or 15 mins away from hiking multnomah falls. Will definitely be staying here again, if only just to visit the giant warm pool surrounded by plants.
One of my favorite McMenamins locations. This one has it all. The pub, the tiny bar, the fancy restaurant, a brewery, winery, distillery, the little red shed cigar house and much more. You can easily spend an entire day here.
Excellent rooms, great food and delicious cocktails!
What isn't to like about this place!! It's got a lot of variety of entertainment all in walking distance of each other at this beautiful property. They have a pub house with a movie theater where you can enjoy delicious pub style food with a beer from their own in house brewery or any cocktail of your choice and all while watching a featured film, my favorite brew is the Ruby. Their historic hotel is lovely, has a very interesting history, is very well managed and is home to the "Black Rabbit", an upscale restaurant with a wonderful menu and amazing fresh quality food. You can grab a refreshment of your choice and walk around and explore the beautiful grounds, wine vineyard, herb gardens where they grow their own herbs used in preparing their amazing variety of foods in all their eateries on the grounds, visit the local glass blowers and watch them create their amazing art pieces and purchase something if it catches your eye or visit their spa and relax and rejuvenate. They also have a outdoor concert venue where you can enjoy music from a variety of genres, I love classic rock and have seen Heart there and Steve Miller plays there often. I love this place and highly recommend you visit and experience it for yourself!
Employees are very nice. Walking the grounds enjoying the scenery is to die for.
Nice restaurants to meet with friends. Good food and waiters.
Definitely the most exciting spot to visit in Portland. The little red shed is a gem of a scotch and cigar bar too.
Everything is awesome here. The concerts, the soaking pool and spa. The movie theater. Pitch and put golf.
An all together pleasurable experience. So much to explore, great food and drink.. it s good to have options Buildings and grounds are drenched in an unbeatable pulchritudinous charm!
Huge place. Many places to see. Wine tasting room, golf, movie room and more.
We love Edgefield! No matter when we are there or what time of year it is, it is always a great experience here. Awesome food, awesome people, awesome options.
Cool place. Lots of things to do and see. Good food and drink. Staff is very friendly. Only downside is bathrooms are down the hall. Room rates are excellent.
Great vibe, good food and drinks but a long wait at the bar.
Great place with lots of different things to do, restaurants, pool hall, winery. Great blackberry cider and pinot gris.
Attended my first Edgefield concert. The outdoor venue affords good views from most everywhere on the sloped lawn. Plenty of food, drink, and porta-potty availability, although at almost double the prices you will find at the Edgefield pubs outside the concert fencing.
Must go beautiful, lots of stuff to do. Try to stay a night or go to a concert. Definitely a bucket list
Fast service in the pub. Grabbed a quick snack and beer in under 30 min. Family friendly as well.
Whimsical, creative, fun, spooky. Good food, so much to look at. Spa uses excellent products.
Loving the landscaping and multidimensional feel of this beautiful place.
i haven't been to all thr McM's, but every one i have been to has been great: great food, decent prices, excellent staff. Biv thanks to the McM's for saving so many historic places.
Hit and miss service. Good selection of beer and wine.
Delicious eats and great beer. The whole grounds are open to exploring. Don t miss the Jerry Garcia statue near the east entrance.
I love the Edgfield. Like always they do seem to be understaffed at most bars and restaurants. Just plan to spend some time waiting and relax. Your food will eventually come.
Superior food, drink, and atmosphere, all come together to make this a weekend getaway. Once you park, everything you need is available. Gentle ambience makes this like a petting zoo for the happily drunken.
I was here for my birthday and to get my passport stamps. We got to enjoy all the great places on the property they have to offer. We had lunch and many drinks from many bars. All the staff was very friendly. Can't wait to go back.
All time favorite place for family time and adults after hours
Perfect spot to stop at on the way back from the gorge. I bring a lot of visitors here.
Beautiful campus with tons to do. Definitely worth a trip.
This place is fantastic. Multiple bars, multiple restaurants, day spa, pool, 18 hole chip and put golf course, you can watch them blow glass and make art out of hot glass. They have an outdoor auditorium for concerts and festivals. They host weddings and other special events. They also have a hotel. If you're in the Gresham/ Troutdale area you have to stop by and check this place out.
Great place, cool vibe, tasty food and drinks, amazing soaking pool
Awesome place to visit, watch a movie, see a concert, eat, drink or just check out.
Best ghost hunting hotel.Ask for the ghost log at check in and stay in the most haunted room.
The venue for the concert I saw was very good. The staff handled things well. Food could be better.
Lots of fun stuff to do. Bars, golf, shuffleboard and darts to name a few
We love Edgefield so much we were married there. Beautiful place, relaxing nights, great drinks, wonderful food, and friendly staff.
Probably my favorite McMenamins, tons of food options good beer even a par 3 golf course.
Power Station pub was very busy but had great food and service
Vegan menu was very limited. Bean and seed burger was soggy and not good. Vegan soup excellent. Server took the burger off the tab and comped our fries. Excellent service, wish the food was as good.
Visited for a concert. As usual the venue was well maintained and staff was friendly.
I attended a fun run. I was not an overnight guest, but I did view a king room and the spa. Very nice!
The Artwork is so unique and amazing really gives this place a soul.
Not bad for food. Don't care for the smell inside the Power Station
Amazing. Love the gardens and various bars and restaurants. The art is spectacular
I could spend a whole week here exploring! Great local cider and wine, I loved the black rabbit restaurant and the grounds are amazing!
Always a favorite go to with friends. Great drinks good food awesome property with so many options.
I actually loved this place. Good. Drinks. And history. This place is a good time for sure
Visited the bar for dinner and drinks. Typical McMenamins flavor. A bit expensive, but nice. I forgot to bring my passport. I'll be back.
THIS WAS A KICK ASS LEEANN BACK LEANN. SPOT. AWESOME PLACE LOTS OF OPEN GROUND TO HAVE A FEW GOOD TIMES. DEFFINALLY ON MY LIST. I SHALL RETURN WITH MORE BACKUP.
We went to the Avett Brothers show. As of the other two shows I have seen at Edgefield it was over booked and the space was extremely tight. We got there two hours before the doors opened and the line was already around the prison.
The hotel is very nice, and looks amazing. My experience with the staff at Edgefield is terrible. We stayed there may times on off weekends and busy weekends. There is always one or two team members that make it a bad experience.
I don't drink alcohol but i do enjoy the property, experience, and all the magic Mcmenamins offers to there customers. Its unfair that some bartenders and hotel staff at edgefield don't care about you or the vision of Mcmenamins.
We did just stay in September on a Saturday through Monday and we had an amazing experience no bad staff this go around. I say they earned a 5 star rating this weekend. When we go again next time and its as good as this one I will adjust my rating to 5 stars.
They have Pokemon go stops, and killer tater tots. Would recommend.
I absolutely love bringing my kids to the Edgefield theater.
Love walking around the grounds, and learning about the history. Food is always good
