Lordy the cost of everything... Neat venue, but man do you pay the highest price possible for all of it. You'd think since they're on their own property with available stock of their brew things might not be so bad, but they charge you like it's Woodstock and they had the beer delivered from Vietnam. Still enjoy getting beers at mcmenamins, but only when I feel like a baller, which is rare...

Excellent place! Large property with several pubs on the same property! One of the few places you can bar hop on the same property! And yes that means you can carry your drink around while you're walking on their property!

Such a beautiful place and so much to do on property! We did wine tasting, had drinks and walked around the grounds, toured the winery, had dinner, saw a movie, and soaked in the amazing soaking pool. Such an amazing night away for me and my husband!!

We have been coming to Edgefield for more than 20 years. Absolutely love the quirkly hotel rooms and even the shared bathroom idea. Sort of like when you were in college. They normally do a great job in constantly keeping them clean. These shared bathrooms are specifically listed as for "hotel guests only" as per the sign posted in front of the restrooms and your hotel key is needed to open the door to gain accesss to these restrooms. This past visit however was horrible. There was a concert and they did provide porta johns for those attending. However, after the concert, as expected, a great number of the attendees came to the hotel to go to the bars and restaurants. Rather than restrict them to using the public restrooms in the hotel and restaurants the staff removed the "hotel guests only sign" and opened these bathrooms to the concert attendees to use. Needless to say the restrooms were like outhouses and to top it off were not cleaned again until the next day. I went to the front desk and asked about this and was told this was "normal" after a concert and I should go to one of the bathrooms on the upper floors. My room was on the first floor by the way. This practice should be discontinued. Hotel guests, who pay to have hotel guest only bathrooms on the same floor as their room, should not be required to share those bathrooms with hundreds of concert attendees.

This is a great spot with tons of space to explore including several buildings, a soaking pool, and small golf course. The food is fairly good though prices continue to creep up. Beer selection is great but you can't get every beer at every bar so make sure you go where the beer you want is. Concerts here are really fun and the lawn is big enough that the crowds don't ever feel like too much.

A quaintly unique hotel, Edgefield has a storied history which is painted on the very walls. Though the lack of private bathrooms is a downside, the baths are very nice and the restaurants and locales are enjoyable. Clean and friendly staff a plus!

My wife and I love Edgefield, has been a go to date night for years. Every once I a while we will get a room and enjoy the soaking pool. While the food is fresh and made of good ingredients the wife and I both agree that the food has lost a bit of its love over the years. They need to get back to seasoning their dishes.

Restaurants, winery, distillery, brewery, movie theater, spa, and hotel all in one spot.. those are some of the things that McMenamins Edgefield offers. Also, it is located in the Columbia River Gorge with Bonneville Dam Tours, hiking, waterfalls, etc. nearby. We always enjoy our visits/stays there.

2019_16_01 Update:
This hotel is filled with artwork and photos that all pertain to the history of Edgefield and the surrounding area. There are pictures everywhere: in hallways, on doors, on circuit-breaker panels, on the overhead pipes, etc.).

McMenamins employs artists full-time to create artwork that commemorates the people and memories associated with the history of each particular location.

Be sure to take the Edgefield Art and History Tour. It's free, and the guide (her name is Thursday) knows everything about Edgefield and its history and creation.

The entire place is crazy beautiful, but the food and service were pretty average (at the outdoor restaurant). Definitely would go again, especially to stay the night and see a show on the field.

Great venue but it pretty much ends there. The food is greasy and mediocre. The beer is bland and sub par for NW craft brews. The wine is pretty good and the device is usually comically bad. Last few times it seemed as if the wait staff didn't realize we were there. I love staying there for the atmosphere, pool, soaking pool, movies, etc. But the beer and menu need a makeover and the staff needs help.

Spent my Birthday weekend here, what a fantastic place. I loved exploring the grounds, the little bars and eateries. They have golf, a theater, a pool hall, soaking pool and spa. Fantastic place, the only thing I wish was that they had more of a night life for people staying at the hotel.

This is my daughters favorite place to go. We love sitting and reading, soaking in the pool, and they have always welcomed her Service Dog. The vibe is very chill, and people are cool.

Edgefield is one of my all time favorite places! Especially since I live right up the street from it. Great place to hang out on a sunny or rainy day. So many different bars to choose from. Good beer, cider, wine and fresh squeezed mix drinks. Food at Power Station is great. Awesome concert venue during summer! The venue is small enough that no matter what you are pretty close to the stage. Would reccomend anyone check this place out!

Really do like this place. Not a huge fan of the beverages and food but the environments and multiple hidden places to explore makes this a must visit. Especially like crisp autumn mornings up at the pub course with the smell of juniper woodsmoke and a breakfast beer. If you can find the little red shed, lucky you!

It was so nice to have live music. Tables were nicely separated, almost everyone was respectful and had a mask on. There were 2 super spreader groups in their 30s no masks, hugging shaking hands I guess they missed the message that 40% of covid positive cases are asymptomatic. Please where your masks folks.

Been here twice, once for a birthday and for a wedding. Both time were great. Fantastic place for any event. Tons of bars everywhere on the property, with lots of beer choices. Also many restaurants and even a movie theater and golf. This is a great place to go for any reason.

I attended a wedding hosted at the BlackBerry Hill. The venue was nice and the catering was excellent. The parking and roads for the site were confusing, granted they were hosting a concert later that day as well.

This review is specifically concerning the Black Rabbit Restaurant. It is a great place if you are looking for that old rustic feel with a lot of history that others may call smelly and in need of an update. The food was very good though slightly overpriced. If you are visiting with the intent of eating dinner, I would recommend checking which movie they are showing at the Power Station theater and if it is something you are interested, getting dinner and a movie. The food at the theater is fantastic and a bit more reasonable, especially with their ticket prices being quite inexpensive.

The hotel itself is nice. Well kept and quirky. But if you want to have fun, plan on getting talked to at least once. They have rules eliminating basically anything that they don't sell. Want to party in your room? Noise complaint. Want to BYOB, not allowed. Want to bring your own guitar, not allowed. If the staff was more oriented towards a positive atmosphere, and less to upholding the multitude of rules, it would be a much better experience.

This review is for the Black Rabbit Restaurant which is part of Edgefield. When the food is cooked properly it's amazing. With the disappointing table service I was unable to report my burger as over cooked when I asked for it cooked as medium-rare therefore I had to take it to the bar (I waited until I finished my fries to take it up). When the new burger returned it was cooked perfectly and was very well seasoned. Also double check your bill as I was charged double for my burger. Reason for not giving 5 stars: burger was cooked improperly from requested and many people wouldn't confront the issue.

Place is awesome, absolutely psychedelicly amazing. Like a resort for acid heads. The pool is one of the best in the state. The bars are fun a quirky and the rooms are an absolute trip.

This place is good for drinking beer and sleeping on semi comfortable beds. The food is seriously good. One of the better Ribeye steaks I've had, good beer always helps too. Golf course is pretty cool for a par 3 style. Plus there's a beverage cart that rolls around. The soaking pool was probably my favorite part of our stay.

This place is sooo amazing. Why you ask!? Because it has so many different bars, a couple of restaurants to pick from, it has pool/darts/shuffle board, it has a movie theater, you can walk around with alcohol, it has a brewery/winery, tons of art inside, it also has rooms to stay in, it has a cool spa and pool, a gift shop, a vineyard, a few gardens, a golf course, a banquet room you can rent for parties or weddings. TGERE IS SO MUCH MORE! IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HERE I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GO!!! Sometimes the staff can be a bit off but i think that s only when the manager lady is there because she is super rude to her staff. But when she isn t there the staff are on top of it and have AMAZING service. Shout out to the man behind the bar Ben he is fabuloussssss.!

We stopped by for a drink after a long road trip, it was gorgeous with lots of art and hidden faces painted on pipe ends. The drinks were great and location was lovely. I had a rhubarb gin and tonic at the old incinerator shed where there was a friendly bartender and a roaring fire.

Such an awesome atmosphere!! Black rabbit food was really good! Rib eye and chicken were great! Creme brulee was not. Which was very disappointing. The theater was great! Awesome shakes! All the staff was super friendly and fantastic. We loved the soaking pool! But our room was right next to the men's lavatory so all night people were going in and out and we heard it. Its a great old beautiful building but you hear EVERY SINGLE THING!! the big downfall was we are not drinkers, so we couldn't just pass out and sleep, and when people are drunk they are seldom quite. We won't stay overnight again but will visit for other reasons!

You could spend ages wondering around this place. The food and drink options were great. There are tonnes of little nooks and crannys with new things to look at and new places to eat and drink. Could easily spend the afternoon wondering about here.
