Interesting Place. First McMenamin I've been to If it wasn't for a colleague mentioning 'You guys need to check out Jerry Ice House, you just have to go.' Didn't have time to check out every nook of the estate. Did have some good Fish and Chips and the Power Station Pub.

Such a fun place to meet or stay!!! You'll live the funkiness & the history of the place!!! Different restaurants for different flavours... golf, wine, spa, glass blowing, and magnificent gardens, too.

Good place to see a band, really not a bad seat in the 'house' due to the size of the venue.
There are so many beautiful varieties of well established shrubs, trees, and flowers to enjoy when walking the trails that weave all around the buildings and grounds of the well kept landscape. This is really a charming place to visit for a summer rock show.

This place has it all. Great food and beer along with wine and sours. There is so much to see here. All the buildings have art work of different kinds. While we were there we saw a glass maker and a clay artist. There's a Dead Head bar, golf, and they have concerts here. It's also a hotel and they have a pool and spa. We had no trouble parking at all in a Sunday afternoon. Go, see, enjoy!

We went to Edgefield for a concert. The sound quality is surprisingly good for an outdoor venue. The drink prices at the venue are reasonable, considering. I didn't like that Lucky's (one of the many cool little bars in the complex) had significantly limited their menu options compared to previous visits. It also takes an inordinate amount of time to get out of the parking lot if you leave right after the music ends. In short: fun summer concert venue (I will definitely go back), but nowhere's perfect.

This is probably my favorite McMenamins. Whether it's for the 2 pitch and putt golf courses, the Spa, the on-site distillery, wandering in the garden, the concert area, the Loading Dock outside patio area - there's just something about this place that's always interesting to see and do.

The "compost" standard of funky, dyslexic, eclectic, disorienting and otherwise fun establishments. It takes equal measures of bravery, and innocence to enjoy fully the environment. The Inn is something that grows on you as it features an "early old" look and feel. The accommodations are very adequate save for any high end amenities. The spirits, wine and beer are the real attraction. If, by chance, you try the Black Rabbit Porter, it will be an epiphany of flavor done right. Over the decades this place has reincarnated again and again into the same thing. A great place to visit, explore and savor.

We love McMenamins Edgefield! The soaking pool is AMAZING! Summer concert series are great & the gardens are beautiful! Drinks are kind of spendy. A few days ago I got a gin & tonic at the small grateful dead themed bar. It was so weak, it tasted like plain tonic water. I poured it on the ground.

Had a delicious Thanksgiving buffet dinner here at Blackberry Hall. Here is a photo of a pre-dinner hot buttered rum we had in The Distillery building on the property near the dinner venue. Wonderful!

Rooms are dorm-style where the bathroom is down the hall rather than connected to the room. That can be a turn-off for some. That said, the rooms are huge and the bathrooms are nice. Rooms include the use of fluffy robes. The beds are fairly standard. The warm spa soaking pool is amazing - it's enormous and surrounded by plants. Rooms do NOT have A/C, so be aware if you're coming in summer. Overall great place.

Horrible! If your a family it's great. You can be as loud as you want and rude and even if people do complain staff won't do anything they write it off as "well their just kids". If your a single person simply listening to your tablet in your room watching TV like I was the staff has no problem telling you to be quiet or reprimand you they discriminate against the single who are without children.

It was truly a treat staying here. I came for a wedding and stayed a few nights. The grounds are absolutely wonderful. So much to see and do. I highly recommend the wading tub at the end of every day. The food is excellent at every restaurant, and there is a bar at almost every location.

Came here for a round of golf and some dinner. Ended up also watching a movie after dinner. The movie experience was very nice and the food was very delicious. Seating was also quite good, the only complaint was the occasional soot from the fire during dinner.

Always a nice visit. Great atmosphere. If only the business model was less fascist and the employees were better treated. Would love more vegan options also.
The service is nearly always great. The quality of food has definitely give down over the last several years, but that's what happens when things are degrading

Go here if u want to get mad. The staff is horrible. The decorum doesn't make up for the fact that the staff is horrible. I will never return and I live a mile away. What a crap attitude for a crap menu. Save yourself the headache.

Nice but generic and expensive. Everything here just feels kind of touristy. The food and drinks are okay, but fairly overpriced. Feels like a theme park with no rides. The movie theater is really nice though, you can get a full meal and drinks while you watch a movie in reserved seating.

Great place! The historic build is awesome, the eclectic theme of McMenamins really adds to it. Rooms and lavatories are clean, staff is nice and very helpful. Everything you need to unwind and relax.

I live in the area and have been going to this place for years. I've sat through 10 minute waits, 30 minute waits, and even 90 minute waits for my food. Something I can always promise: the food is good, the beer is cold, and the bartenders always funny. The hotel is worth it, breakfast in bed is the best. And hotel guests get access to the absolutely glorious bromine soaking pool at the Ruby Spa as part of the room deal. Artwork is everywhere and it is gorgeous.

Lots of parking. Working on getting that cosmic tripster status the spa is the hardest stamp to get. Because its open the least hours. I love all the little bars and their quirky themes. There are lots of places to walk and explore. It's great for groups and even alone. We went to an 80s night here and I was definitely the youngest one there (24) it was alot of fun. But the 2 bartenders were very very SLOW!
