I love the Edgefield. I have only ever had one staff member be rude, otherwise they are generally very accommodating. The rooms are great and so is the campus. Many little bars to find.

Friendly staff, nice large grounds. Can spend the entire day here easily and not get bored
We went their to watch find dory and eat dinner but it took them 2 hours to make us dinner because they kept forgetting about us the movie was good though.
The warm wading pool was a great way to spend an afternoon with friends.
Food was good , but th e service was not. We were not offered refills on water and had to flag a waiter down anytime we needed something.
We came here for lunch and will definitely be back to stay overnight, go to ruby's spa and hang out in the gardens! Wonderful history to the place, you can feel it in the air that this place has held the stories many lives.
Great venue for concerts and good food at the black rabbit in the hotel.
Very nice relaxing atmosphere. I definitely want to go back for a concert.
Amazing food, good customer service and friendly staff!
Great venue for a show. Great food and drink. Awesome friendly service. I'll be back.
Best place ever! Been here before and will come every chance we get. Get a room and stay, too much fun to have in a day.
Edgefield is great! Love the atmosphere, the many different bars and restaurants, and the scenery in general. Great place.
Great value for your money. Perfect venue for a bachelor party event
LOVE THIS PLACE . This is our favorite place. During the summer it's so fun to walk around and enjoy our beer! I drink the Ruby it's more of a raspberry beer. They have a bar called lucky pool hall which has pool tables, shuffle board and a place to sit down and eat. We usually go to the bar i believe it's called the distillery. It's by the golfing area and you can get your clubs and balls there too. If you have a dog you can hang out with them and the restaurant outside the power station let's you eat with your dog's out there too:) we have stayed the night here a couple times. Obviously it's an old place so it's not "fancy" but a good place to hang out and drink then sleep it off in the rooms. Each room gives guest acceas into the soaking pool they have ! We did the couples spa as well. Like I said I love this place! One of the best massages I've ever had. The winery is fun as well. Sometimes they will have singers in there for entertainment. Every year we go for their new years eve event. They will usually have a big white tent with heaters and have a bunch of balloons that will drop when it hits 12 of clock. They have another room you can go into as well if u want to go back and forth and this room is the black berry hall where they have wedding placed in there. The pizza is great. And the pretzel and cheese is to die for. I'm obsessed with there cheese to dip it in. They throw concerts here as well. Its in a big field and alot of places for parking. I hoped this helped people!!
The venue was beautiful but the 45 min wait for a drink and a table was what gave it a 4 star rating
Wonderful welcoming place to have a function. All bars close at 10:00p.m. which sucks but They have a huge property with a display of bars available
The Power station is very consistent for a average Mcmenamins Location, Black Rabbit is one of the best all around Dine dining restaurants around Gresham. the assortment of small bars throughout the property are very convenient.
Great place to visit, different little bars around the property to have beer or wine, food was great also.
If you've never been here, you need to go. That's it.
Pretty cool place, has a lot to do there on site ya dont really have to go anywhere
Edgefield is a really fun place for food and drinks with all the different venues in one location, but arrive early as it gets very crowded and busy as soon as work hours are over.
Great service, friendly staff, and a one of a kind hotel and farm.
Only went to the restaurant. But the service was great in the food was very good.
Beautiful hotel! Little noisy, restaurant and bar can be crowded. Food swings from excellent to mediocre. Quirky, interesting.
Awesome experience, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic a place of escape from the madness while feeling protected and safe. McMenamins has done a thorough and comprehensive job of applying various protocols and methods to protect their guests. We really enjoyed the laid back vibe, truthfully some of which responsible to the lessor amount of people there due to the pandemic (and being middle of the week), yet the service provided by the staff, quality of the food and beverages as always awesome, and the gardens and surrounding grounds being so well manicured and maintained made our stay wonderful, as it always is time after time.
Everything is awesome! There's something for everyone. Our daughter loves the soaking pool and it really is the best pool of all the McMenamins properties. Love the free concerts in the summer!
It's a beautiful place and all of the staff is very pleasant and helpful
Had a beer in the pool hall. Staff was friendly and had great atmosphere. The prices were a bit high, and they seem to have slowly been creeping up over time.
Took an Austrian friend who is a bit snobbish about American beer & he enjoyed the German Pils style bier! Also took him around the grounds for a walk because it is so beautiful= a nice reward for hiking Multnomah Falls
My work takes us to this place for collaboration each year, and it s by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. The soaking pools are fantastic and open late in the evening. The bunk rooms are clean and you are far enough apart from other people so that you don't feel invaded or like you re at a cheap summer camp. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The food is amazing and there are so many options. Playing pool and shuffleboard was super fun, as well. Remember to take a tour of the brewery and winery. Don't forget your passports!
Great facility. My brother and his wife picked this venue to get married. Historical location. Very unique great food and drinks.
I've been here a few times and it's a very cool spot to see live music.
We had a great dinner experience. The waiter/waitress were really helpful, funny and quick and the food was great as always. The hostess could use a few more lessons but other than that it was great.
Location, building, food and artwork A+++. Prices D---
Very fun place, lots to see and do! Plus I highly recommend picking up their McMenamins Passport for additional fun and challenges!
Super fun 20 hole course. Great cigar bar. The Ruby ale is amazing, and that's just the surface.
Food and location is great. Staff are super friendly and very helpful.
The staff was great. The chicken fried was the bomb. Ruby beer delicious.
Nice, relaxing place to spend the evening. Local brews are excellent - bartender suggested the Ruby and I was in love.
Good food and nice environment. Staff was friendly.
Its the best of both worlds OVERRATED AND OVERPRICED
Love walking around this place as it offers all kinds of art, glass blowing, eats and drinks of all kinds. And so much more.
Go here almost exclusively to play the 3 par golf courses. My friends and I have a blast every visit.
Really great outdoor venue for summer concerts with great sound. Music starts early because there is a 10pm noise curfew but that is great if you are seeing a show on a weekday. Edgefield itself has a ton of little quirky bars scattered throughout the hotel that are really fun to explore. It is a bit outside of Portland, about a 25 minute drive. Public transportation does run there so that is a bonus. I'm not crazy about McMenamins beers but their spirits are quite nice. Food is hit or miss in my opinion and a bit overpriced and not many options for those with dietary restrictions. Overall a great summer concert venue with cool bars but eat dinner before you go.
Fun place to go. Plenty of beer to go around. Great place for an after work get together to knock back a couple beers in Lucky Staeleys.
I LOVE this place. We stopped in on a whim one day on our way home from Hood River for a bite to eat and I couldn't be more happy we did. Since then we have been multiple times as it is our go to place when we need to relax and get away. There is something for everyone here from golf to movies to winery to a brewery to a distillery. I could spend days here getting pampered and sipping on wonderful Edgefield wines. I recently spent the night. The beds were comfortable and the wi-fi was great as well. The bathrooms were located down the hall but were always clean. In the morning they brought our breakfast so we could enjoy it at our leisure in bed. It is an amazing place that I never want to leave but alas I have to return to real life.
The food at all McMenamin'slocation is pretty consistently good. Service is also consistently good. We are working on completing our Mcmenamins passports and were not pleased with that part of the experience.
Decent spot to drop in for some beers and a snack, pool downstairs, hotel, tasty burger.
Went to see a movie. Tickets were affordable. Quality was good.
We hiked Hamilton mountain, then came down for some beers. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. Service was friendly and fast. Beers and food were delicious. I can't wait to go back!
no air conditioning and impossible to sleep. terribly hot and had a room fan in the room loudly going. was not told there was no air conditioning prior to booking room. other than that, the rest was just okay.
Food was great but it took a long time. Also we didn't get happy hour prices enough though it was happy hour.
McMinamin's Edgefield's is located in Troutdale, Or. Along the old scenic highway, it once served as a sanitarium, for Portland's mentally ill patients. For those interested in staying a night or two, this building has been known to be host to a lot of ghost activity! In fact, I was ordering a drink in the Little Red Shed during this visit, only to hear shattering glass next to my arm. When I looked over...startled by the noise, I found that in a stack of shorty drinking glasses, one glass had shattered into a million pieces... from the middle of the stack...without causing an avalanche of glasses and broken glass to tumble over onto my arm. It just shattered right in place within the stack. The bartender assured me of the fact that nothing like that had ever been documented in the Little Red Shed, in the 7 years she had worked for McMinamin's. So....if you are looking for a ghostly experience in Portland...Edgefield's is the place to call!!
Very good food, but it it is way too expensive. Seriously, $20:00 for a burger? Jeepers that's crazy.
I was at Edgefield for a concert most recently. The line Q is different this year, and it has gotten better from years past. Earlier access to food, drinks, the merch table, and the restrooms. The staff there was very friendly, and we did not have any issues. The food was fairly reasonably priced for a concert venue, as was the beer. A beautiful setting for a concert, especially during the middle of the summer months!
Another great McMenamins location... this one featuring several buildings and an outdoor garden area. Grab a beer and tour the grounds.
I love this place. Make sure to ask about getting the passport.
Great food and drink. Awesome summer concerts, winery, golf, spa, hotel, distillery, theater, bars, two restaurants, brewery, and delicious ice cream in the summer months. Even onsite glass blowers. What's not to like?
Kind of a weird place for a conference. The meeting rooms were quite small and not actually equipped for presentations. Event worked out.
Great outdoor concert venue! Only improvement I can think of would be to put card readers at the concessions stands. There are 3 ATMs in the concessions area but you end up paying two $2.50 fees to withdraw funds so bring cash beforehand. The merch booths typically takes cards so I don't know why the concessions booths which are run by McMenamins do not.
I was recently at McMenamins Edgefield for the Oktoberfest. I found it to be very enjoyable.
Beautiful place for wine, beer and whisky lovers... Food and drinks are perfect too! Golf, walks, nature around the perfect everything
Quick Hogs Breath in the Distillery best Scotch Whiskey ever. My new favorite at 52. A bottle worth every penny. However a rude experience in the gift shop Saturday afternoon from a clerk who was quick to tell me my artistry would not be excepted by the Mcmenamins buyers. I moved on then came back and asked for the contact anyway.
We went for the Garbage/Blondie concert. It was great! It was my first time at that venue. The lawn was excellent and had a nice slope for visibility. The sound was great, and there weren't any hiccups with equipment (that I noticed). The food and drinks were typical of McMenamins, and good. We explored the property after the concert to get our passports stamped. It's a very cool place. Lots of neat little bars. Service was some of the best I've ever had at a McMenamins. Everyone was very nice, and my friend and I were both made delicious cocktails. I want to go back sometime and stay at the hotel, and explore the rest of it!
Quick visit cannot wait to check it out further very cool property.
I officiated a wedding in the Barley Room in the hotel. Very nice venue.
