Went there for lunch. Got the Portland dip and it was good. Went around the place and it is pretty cool. Bars and places to hang out all over the place. The gift shop was nice and staff were awesome. Definitely have to go back to check out the other places and maybe stay.

Lots to do.

Beer, wine, movie, eat, golf, spa, soaking pool, haunted hotel, concerts.

Stayed on 11-21. Edgefield is not the place it used to be. Loud party on our floor, but the stay was fine. Just a little more crowded than it used to be. Every bar was full and there was and wait to get drinks everywhere. Maybe don't go on and weekend or stay at the Kennedy school. The expense is just too much at this point vs the experience.

Great

This is a McMenamins, much like all the others, but the grounds are much nicer; my kids like exploring the garden when we go there and watching the glassblowers.

The beer is very good (I like the Hammerhead a lot). The food is decent, standard bar food for the most part.

The best McMenamins property, hotel, theatre, wedding locals, golf (if u like torture) and enough unique drinking locations you can have wine liquor and beer in their own venues. Stay 2 days at least!

Visited over spring break, my daughter and I came to enjoy Ruby's spa! Great messages and facials. Breakfast at the black rabbit was delicious! But most of all loved the lazy salt water pool!

Edgefield is a beautiful place. Every time I visit it's an enjoyable experience. I'm usually there for a concert. Their outdoor venue is fantastic for summer shows. Great beers, food, and vibes. The hotel is a great place to stay, with beautiful and unique paintings and murals throughout all the halls and rooms, and staying there gives you access to the soaking pool at the spa, which is the perfect way to end the day.

I was here for a buddy's wedding. It is actually a great venue for those with weddings under 100 people or so. The caterers were all great. The rooms were pretty nice that we were in and the bathrooms were nice! Obviously there are drinks galore here. There are plenty things to enjoy around venue.

Ate at the Power Station pub. The ambience was good but it was crowded. Our party of five was seated at a booth and one of us had to sit in an uncomfortable chair with servers and other guests constantly squeezing by. But the food was excellent and worth the small wait, and prices were comparable to other dine in pubs and restaurants.

Such a beautiful building! We had dinner at the Black Rabbit. I had the 3 cheese ravioli and it was excellent. There seems like a lot of interesting places on the property I will be going back again.

This place is like a second home to me. Hang out in your Edgefield provided white robe all weekend. It's OK.

There is a hostel on the 3rd floor that is inexpensive and nice with roomy lockers and plenty of towels and bedding, while the Edgefield's regular rooms are wonderfully unique and relaxing. The rooms do not have TVs or phones. You're on vacation.

None of the bathrooms/showers are in-room, but rather are down the hallway. There you will find numerous separate ladies and men's "lounges" that contain several private locking rooms with showers/toilets. The third floor has a co-ed lounge that contains private locking rooms with huge antique claw foot tubs. All lounges require a room key for entry.

On Saturday nights I found there to be a lot of people drinking and partying since there is an on-site brewery and several bars on-site as well. If you want to guarantee the most relaxing quiet (and less busy) time, I recommend coming on a weekday. Don't forget to book a massage or other spa service well ahead (2 weeks) of time at Ruby's spa which, in my opinion, should always be a part of the Edgefield experience. What better way to end a massage than to soak in the hot saltwater soaking pool (anyone that gets either a massage or a room can enter the soaking pool), which resembles a small winding lazy river and has a bar attached.

There's plenty of restaurants on the grounds but hardly any vegan friendly fare. I'm vegan so can't comment on the food. The best experience I had was in the summer when their gardens are amazing and I picked and ate a fresh apple.

The Edgefield is a highly recommended getaway for a diversity of people, from a single person seeking peace and some time to think, to a group of beer loving buddies who want to drink and then retire to a room, to lovers wanting a warm unique and romantic getaway. The beautiful building, grounds, and staff along with everything you need being on site makes it a fantastic experience. I am obviously a HUGE fan!

This is one of the best places, for pretty much anything. Multiple restaurants and pubs make it the ideal place for meeting up with people. Great atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, help to make it a new experience every time. There are a lot of things to see here, and you could spend the entire day, without staying the night. There is a spa, soaking pool, movie theater, and a golf course. The only real way to know how great it is, is to check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone from the wait staff to the sales team was very easy to work with, and communicative during all stages of our event, from setup to completion. We greatly enjoyed the use of Blackberry Hall and Meadow, and I would recommend it to anyone else looking to host an event of 100+ guests!

This place is such a jewel for folks in the Portland Metro area to have so accessible. Whether you are spending the night, attending an outdoor concert, soaking in the heated pool, or having a meal it is always an enjoyable experience. We have brought out kids here to spend the night on multiple occasions, they love soaking in the pool, eating tater tots for dinner, and eating dinner while watching a movie in the table service movie theater.

Used to come here every month back in the 90s. Visited again last week. Still doing great things, there are enough bars that you'll get good service at one of them! The Disneyland for beer drinkers.

Edgefield is a wonderful place for events! Weddings, concerts, gatherings of any sort are always enjoyed. Be warned service in bars and restaurants at busy times can be absolutely nightmarish. Usually service is well below standard but at times it can be much worse. They have a good security team and enforce rules which can be refreshing, or at times seem excessive. I highly suggest attending St. Patrick's day celebration at Edgefield.

A place you go to spend a whole afternoon or evening. Several bars, wineries and restaurants all together in a gorgeous outdoor setting surrounded by beautiful gardens, a golf course, and set in the entrance to the Columbia Gorge. Choose an outdoor courtyard to sit and enjoy a handcrafted beer or local wine or sit inside. There is a hotel that years ago was an insain asylum (spelling?) So it's reputation is it is haunted. The decor everywhere is unique from the fixtures to the art peices. Order a "Ruby Red" honestly the best beer Iv'e ever tasted. Prices are fair but on the higher side for upscale bar food. The restaurant in the hotel offers more classy expensive meals. An atmosphere you just can't get anywhere else.

I have not been a fan of McMinn food in the past, but my friend held her birthday dinner here and I was pleasantly surprised. My end of the table shared some castelvetrano olives. Usually these are buttery and luscious. These were not quite ripe (so a bit bitter) and in a weird herb dressing that didn't suit them at all. Fortunately my apple blue cheese pecan salad was terrific, and the Brussels sprouts were excellent. For dessert, we split a sampler of bread pudding (5 stars), chocolate cake (4 stars), and creme brulee (I don't like coffee so it was 2 stars for me but my fiance gave it 5). Service was excellent.

I was taking senior portraits. We walked the grounds and stood all over. We enjoyed the scenery and the location was fantastic for our photoshoot! We did order cajun fries from the substation restaurant and we're told we would only need to wait up to 10 minutes. In reality it took 25 minutes!

Saw Ween here 2 nights in a row in 2018. The place was really damn cool. They had some tasty food and decent alcohol. The stage was awesome and the place was a fun. Ween were on total fire both nights. Smacking out unexpected songs along with their graceful hits. They were in great spirits. The performances both nights were truly superb. The sound quality was completely top notch. Would heavily recommend this place.

One of the best McMenamins in my opinion. Amazing hotel and great restraunt and pool hall. Has a soaking pool if you stay overnight or use the spa. Wonderful multiple little bars all over the place. Also has a winery that features live music usually every night! If you stay here don't forget to get a tee time at one of their two golf courses!

What a magical place! Great food, wine, beer. a beautiful wedding was going on in one corner of the property, kids were picking black berries in another corner, people were laughing and laying in the shaded grass. Take away the cars, smart phones, 2016 clothing and you would feel lost in time.

Such an amazing place to just wander around. Almost everywhere you go there is a bar or drink station to refill you, interesting sculpture or garden, or just something really cool about it's history. Always a great time visiting Edgefield.

We went to a concert @ the ampitheater which was amazing. Cash only though which caught us by surprise. Edgefield is a huge complex w/ lots to explore. We ended up after the show @ Jerry's Ice House. Since we love the Grateful Dead, this was a perfect place to celebrate our evening. Small little bar w/incredible memorabilia on the walls. We tried Rubberhead, a combo of Ruby & Hammerhead beers which are brewed there, yum!! We also had shots of spirits from the distillery, Monkey Puzzle & an apple flavored whiskey which was a bit too sweet. We will definitely try to make it back there someday.

I highly recommend visiting and making a day of seeing the whole property. Definitely don't miss the gift shop!

We went with friends and had a great experience. It was enjoyable to take our drinks out after dinner into the garden to enjoy the summer air. I would definitely go back next time I'm in town. The server was honest about the kitchen and certain menu items taking longer than expected and our party appreciated that. No one likes it when different dishes come out at different times.
