We usually go for the pitch and putt golf. There's a short and a long course. Just bring a putter and a wedge. It's a nice way to unwind for a couple of hours and start the weekend. There is a beer cart that will sell the golfers bottled drinks. It only runs during peak times, so ask about it when you check in, and plan accordingly.

The ambiance is great, the food petty good, but if you want quality or timely service ... I have never had either at any McMinnemins. Today I asked for a to go order of fries and tots and was told it would be less than 10 minutes. It took nearly 20 to get my order.

One of my favorite places! You come for the variety of welcoming spaces on the property. You're going to wait for food, so plan on spending some time exploring the many different bars or pitch and putt--make a day of it!

It's a pretty cool place to hang out around a fire and have some fancy libations, maybe with a cigar if that's your thing. The spa is nice and it has a bar by the pool, but you'll need to stay the night or book a massage to get in there. The shows on the lawn are great, I'd definitely recommend coming here for concert and hanging out for a few hours before and/or after.

Absolutely amazing! This is the best McMenamins that I have stayed at. Originally scheduled to see a concert, which is on the hotel grounds, and had to stay the night. After the show we stayed and visited the on-site bars. Make sure you purchase the passport if you are a first time guest at on of ghere several locations scattered in the best parts for Washington and Oregon, you will not be displeased. Always fun times and good vibes at all of their locations. One downfall however is that some of there rooms on the main floor have community bathrooms, much like a hostel. The showers are however private rooms so there is plenty of privacy. They have a outdoor spa as well so make sure you plan to take a dip.

Very cool hotel. It's very old so with that comes certain caveats; no air condition, dorm room style bathrooms, etc. But creates a unique stay. They've managed to create their own little village so there's plenty to do and explore at night but it definitely can get hard to navigate on event nights.

We had dinner at the Powerhouse Station at Edgefield and it was good. We had to send back one meal but the waitress brought is back a replacement quickly and took the entire entree off the tab. The chicken strips came out very dark, almost burnt and it seemed to be something to do with the batter. The waitress assured us that she spoke with the head chef and would get the recipe adjusted so they wouldn't come out as dark. Great service. Very busy on weekends!!

I really want to like this McMenamins location better than I do. It has it all, except for decent food. Been coming here for more than 10 years and most aspects of this place are great for a McMenamins. The food, however, is pretty poor and I don't ever recall being served a warm dish. Fries are always served cold and I've had them from every food venue at Edgefield. Fix the kitchens and provide a better tap selection (only Ruby and Hammerhead in Jerry's, really?) and Edgefield could be pretty great.

This place is a favorite of my daughter's. We had lunch at the Power Station and have previously eaten at the Black Rabbit. Of the two, I definitely prefer the Power Station. Great service at both, but I liked the atmosphere at the Power Station better. The Power Station is much lighter inside-the Black Rabbit was a little too dark for me.

My wife and I retired 3 years ago and moved to Troutdale in 2015. One of the first places we discovered was Edgefield! We started playing golf every Monday there. Golf, a Hammerhead for me, a cocktail for her, and lunch at the Power Station became a weekly outing for us! The golf courses are perfectly maintained and great for the whole family. They even have a beverage cart that cruises through both courses 7 days a week with your favorite Edgefield creations! I love this place! By the way, I now have a part time job there!

We visited the "Power Station" pub for lunch. A modest lunch was $10 not including tip. A heartier selection was $15. Both were half orders, so if you are on a budget-beware! McMinemins (no apostrophe) is not an inexpensive restaurant- though modest selections can be had.

All the McM's have an atmospheres Edgefield is no exception, so come on a sunny day and look around. Visit the glass blowing shop, make an appointment at the spa, enjoy the gardens and the winding paths between. It is beautiful- especially in the Spring, but don't hesitate to visit (and enjoy) in the wintertime as well.

Four stars for portion to price ratio.

For the concert in the grass: feels like a very intimate space, but there is actually plenty of room! The stage was in a good spot and the whole yard had a view of it.
The restaurants and bars: always fun! A little spendy. They always seem to have better food here than some other mcmenamins. The antipasti was simple but good. The wings were amazing.

In A Nutshell:

In A Nutshell:

-McMenamins Edgefield is a BIG property.
-Edgefield has many bars, a big open field (for concerts), several buildings, a hotel, soaking pool, a small farm & probably a few other things I have yet to discover.
-Don't be surprised to see people running around w/ a bathrobe on & alcoholic beverages in hand, this is normal ;)
-There's a couple tiny sheds that have been converted to mini-bars, so check 'em out.
-Order the blackberry cider!
-My advice is that you need to check out Edgefield and the other McMenamins yourself b/c they are AWESOME!

Overall, Oregonians know how to party & enjoy life no wonder why so many Californians are moving up there!

Food is too expensive. Rec Shed out back had free Irish music on Tuesdays 7-9pm. Great beer and wine selections. They also have a full bar and pool tables.

I am so used to good service, but was very disappointed tonight. Took our visiting guests to explore the wonder that is McMenamins. Started out wonderful in the wine bar, couple of glasses of enjoyable wine and a wine flight. (Got our Passport Stamps), then on to the Loading Dock for food under the umbrellas.
I wish Brandon had been our server as he was a great communicator and attentive, who started to serve us, unlike Johanna who no one could find for over 30 minutes and then proceeded to argue with guest about how long she had disappeared. When asked about Dessert, stated it was on the menu, it was not, then went to look for a Dessert menu to find out the only dessert being offered in the loading dock all night was Strawberry Shortcake.
I of course will return as I have for more than 20 years and chalk this up to a random challenge of service.

Yesterday we tried to see Portugal the Man at Edgefield. It turned into a sur-really bad experience. We had a family / medical emergency and no one would believe or help us. This is even though there were all of these attendants standing around doing literally nothing. There was a family member the most dear person in my life in severe distress, no one would even help me get back to the car. It was pitch black and we sat in an empty field in a situation that could have become quite disastrous. I will not only never be back to Edgefield again I will never go to a McMenamins again. I cannot even listen to any of the songs of this band right now.

When folks come to visit we take them to the Edgefield. I love wandering through the gardens, through the halls and between the restraunts and bars of this amazing grown-up play ground. Whimsical art covers the walls, the gardens are over the top beautiful, there is something to discover around every corner and the food and beer is good. Also, I've noticed the service has improved from "OK" to "pretty good".

Great casual place with a funky cool vibe. Love the restaurants and bars on site. Always good live entertainment too. Even caught a movie a while back. A must stop when in Portland. Cheers!

The place itself is lovely. The grounds and renovated building are a perfect setting for a night out or large event. The food however, was TERRIBLE. We spent over 3 grand for a big rehearsal dinner and I can't BELIEVE how bad the pizza was. Tasteless, greasy, doughy ...DISAPPOINTED.
