McLeod Auto Sales rock. They are the best used car lot in Killeen. I was kinda skeptical about going their because i did read a few bad reviews about this place but I know see that they are just angry and since they could not get what they want they wright a bad review. Well my experience was awesome if i could give them more stars i would give them a million. I have horrible credit and 2 repos i doubted they could help me but Dean and Michelle made it happen. I now have a great 2016 Chevy Impala fully loaded thanks to them. I love my new car. I never in a million years would have seen my self driving a almost new car.

Staff wasn't friendly, the offer they advertise is not true .response to Jay I was there March last year and what kind of a replay is that ?I ain't someone that sells cars and you have no right to look at customers data base until there's a business going on that right there shows what kind of business you are guys I was not blessed with your employees attitude at all and I'm being honest and neither you or anyone can stop me from saying my opinion.
Went in just to look, I have a '97 Dodge Ram and thought it might be nice to have a truck that is younger than my daughter. Tim was outstanding to work with listened to me and showed me what I wanted at the price point I wanted to be at. Stanley the sales manager was really great to work with as well. Did not purchase a vehicle today, but I will go back when I am ready to pull the trigger. One of the best experiences I have ever had at a car dealership!!!
Husband and I purchased a truck yesterday at McLeod and could not have had a better experience! Kaila was straight and to the point which my husband and I really appreciated. She didn t try to sell us and was genuine about Every aspect. We all know how time consuming the car buying experience can be, but was not the case with Kaila. Hi I've been there three times and the second time they would not even talk to me that's when they had the dime down going on they always want a large down payment, I know my credit isn't good but this time they said they would buy your vehicle they told me to take mine back to were I was buying it from and turn it in that's good on the credit but you had better have good credit when you go there or a lot of cash. I looked at a truck Saturday they wanted $10,999 for it a 2006 with wires hanging down tailgate would not open either without grabbing the guts and turning that truck was worth about $7,000 and that's in good shape sorry they over price and lie to you I will never go back and hopefully you won't either.
We went everywhere to find a car...EVERYWHERE!! Finally after some doubt being there hearing the same thing at first....we were shown something we liked and given the information we needed and made a great decision with the help of Stephanie and her manager. Great customer service and very nice atmosphere. I have been in and was unable to purchase a vehicle the day I was in but they worked very hard to get me an approval and were able to get me going in the right direction on how to purchase in the near future. Thank you for all the work y all did trying to get me into a vehicle when other dealerships said there was nothing they could do for me without a massive down payment.
It should be -100million statrs but you can't post unless you select a star. Stay away from this place if you really have bad credit.. They will not finance you... They will tell you a bunch of lies just to run your credit and then ask for $6,000 down. Next they will act like they are giving you financing options" like do you have a co-signer or have a trade in. If I had that I would have told you. They pray on people or maybe they have to have a certain amount of applications to turn into the bank approved or denied. They do not listen nor do they care...Don't listen to commericials or false advertising. The fact is if you have bad credit no one can help you unless you have $2,500 down or more!! Below is the message I sent to the owner. Hello Travis, I am extremely disappointed in your business. My wife called and spoke to someone on Saturday and explained our situation. She practically begged the young lady not to run my credit and don't take advantage of us. Because I am in the process of rebuilding my credit and we didn't want my score to be lowered because of hard inquiries. We also explained that we did not have any money to put down because we were just now able getting on our feet. She again assured my wife not to worry. That you provide in-house financing if the banks did not work out. My wife also told her that we have 4 kids and that we need a 7 passager vehicle to accommodate our family. So we trusted in you and your companies word that you all would help us. So here it is Monday I get a call from Emily saying the same thing that your employee assured us wouldn't happen. "oh we are so sorry we can't help you at this time. We need $6,000 down to help you"..Huh?? didn't your employee just assure my wife that McLeod is different and we actually are interested in helping people get back on their feet? So now my credit is knocked down yet again. Then she offered me a Sudan. Where are my children going to sit?? Next, she said that we didn't live close enough for the in-house financing??? Are you serious I am going to spread the word that your place is not interested in helping people? Maybe your employees should try to honest with people and say if your score is over this then this will be your truth not sell them false hopes.. It is absolutely disgusting how people prey on people. Have a nice day I hope you sleep well at night
Paul Nolte helped us out today on an oil change. He has great customer service and gave us honest replies on our questions about the vehicle when driving it in the snow and etc. We need more people like him!!
What can I say. I can t even express how McLeod Auto Sales can go above and beyond for your needs. I walked in the building not knowing what s going to come next but with a slight confidence that I was going to walk out of there with a car.. and I sure did! I have been trying to get a car for the past two years and it has been a frustrating process because I had went through bad experiences. However, McLeod Auto Sales was nothing like a bad experience.

So we walked in today not knowing whether or not we would be getting a car. We were helped right away and greated by multiple people as soon as we walked in. Our salesman, Mikal, made things happen. I went into McLeod Auto not really knowing what to expect because of my situation! I was surprised by the welcome me and my husband received! Alex Vega was our salesman and from start to finish he was very nice, professional, pleasant and really good at his job! If you are in the market for a new vehicle stop in to McLeod and ask for Alex!
First of all, let me begin by stating I have bad credit. So I fully expected a challenge to be approved for financing, however, I was in need of an automobile after mine was totaled in a wreck. Basically I was in between a rock and a hard spot. No car. Not a lot of money for down payment. BUT, all I hear on the radio is about all this credit amnesty and credit issues NOT being a problem at this dealership, dime down, right? I've been with my job for 18 years... I make more than $350 a week... I met all their requirements that they so freely advertise constantly on the radio for what they claim is up to $30,000. I even filled out the prequalification prior to driving the 2 hour drive to the dealer and was "preapproved" for $25,000... What a bunch of bait and switch. This dealer says and does whatever they can to bring you in, only to hammer you for a large down payment, put you in a much lesser vehicle than you were "supposedly approved" for, or not finance you at all...wait, "credit amnesty"... "dime down, approved for $30,000"... this is the worst experience and waste of time I've ever encountered!
There no different than any other lot. There is no credit amnesty they just say that to get you in. The staff is OK, just don't waste time unless your credit is good.
Kyle helped me right as I got to the dealership ran me through some options and I ended up getting a nice car low in miles at a great price. He was willing to take the time to get me in the car that I wanted.

They ran both mine and my husband s credit said they were going to be able to help us WASTED TWO WHOLE HOURS for them to tell us they could sell us a car for 4,000 dollars when we told them that was above what we could spend Austin was not helpful at all I would not go and give them your money just so they can screw you over this was today nov 2 2020
Told me to come up there that 1500 down would get me in something for sure. So not only did i have to get the one and two year old kids out but i got there and waited 4 hours to find out that they wanted 6 thousand down and that we could leave and they would call us and let us know what the leanders say. Been 2 days and never got a call. Sorriest most waste of my day ever

This place the worst place to go! First off me and my husband who is in the military came to get a second vehicle for me. They seemed really nice and helpful at first but then they tried getting us to get a 2008 Honda Accord for $13,000 and wanted us to put down over $2,000 down and our payments would be 450 sorry but I had a 2014 ford focus that was 13,000 and the payments where 400 so my husband said he didn't want the car and that I would be bringing it back since he had to go to the field for a week they said I couldn't bring it back he had to and they would give us our down payment for the car back. So we went back up there after my husband got back from the field and gave them the car back. They said they couldn't give us our money back till Monday. He came back in Monday and they said again sorry we can't give ur money back till Wednesday we will have it ready in hand so of course wed came and he went there on his lunch break and they tried getting him to take the car back and my husband said no I want my money back please they said sorry we have to take half of it for keeping it for a week and for giving it back to us ummm sorry but we never signed paper work for that car to be ours they still wanted more money out of us before the car was ours and the person told me I couldn't bring it back the next day because my husband was in the field and it was In his name on the paper work. This place should not be for military families or military at all! I'm sorry we will never tell people to come to a place like this!
Well, I've experienced Good and Bad service at this place.. Maybe, because my credit wasn't all that great. No need to get into details but I will say that they will do what that can to help you out....

So I sent in all the paper worked needed. And was told I was aproved and would be hearing something back from a finance/sales manager. But never got a call back. I called a few times and spoke to a salesman. Hey told me he was busy at the moment and would call me back. Yet never got a call. Then I recieve a letter in the mail stating that everything they need was good. But we couldn't come up with term and agreement.. well of course not.. no one ever wanted to call me back. Pretty sad, cause I was refered buy a friend who bought a car from you guys. Best advertising is word of mouth but in this case you guys dropped the ball.
My experience has been very unfavorable! I had to give one star to be able to post. If I had an option for negative stars I would have done that. The sales person, Evonne, when asked if I could get a $300-$350 a month payment for the vehicle I was asking about (2009 Jeep Wrangler), responded with "that is reasonable". They had the vehicle listed on Craigs List with a $2000 down payment you could drive away with this Jeep. They advertise "For the People" but that is nowhere close to being accurate. They make promises, which I have in text messages from Evonne, and then don't even come close to honoring their word. Evonne says, once we have your info we should know pretty quick if you are approved. Again, not the case. Gave all my info on a Friday. Called the next day and spoke with Nate in "finance". Said he didn't know anything yet and would call me back. Didn't happen. I called again. He told me he was in a different building and would call me right back or text me. Neither happened. I called back on Monday, asked for Nate, not available. Left a message and no return call. I called again and spoke with Nate who again said he was in another building. Never called back. At this point I asked to speak with the manager, Dean. He didn't really listen to my concerns but said he would rather move forward and to talk to him. He said he would call me back Tues morning by 11am. Didn't happen. I called him and was told he was on the phone. I left a message. Didn't get a return call. I called back around 5pm. Was told he wasn't picking up and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I told them I would just leave a review. Now if you are thinking this is a guy who is upset because he was denied, please think again. I was never told anything. I was kept on the hook for 5 days. My credit score shows "fair" with all three agencies. Even if I was denied, at least have the professional courtesy to let me know. That didn't happen. Just be warned that even though they advertise, we accept all credit, just give us $2000 down (and I offered more) they may or may not keep their word and treat you in a professional manner. Very disappointing experience and I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Sorry Don't be swayed when Dean writes some kind of excuse as to why this happened. The point for him was that he knew he was dealing with a customer who had already been told things that were not true and had not been followed up with in a professional timely manner as indicated. He choose to show the same unprofessional characteristics as his employees. I wonder where they get it from. You have the freedom to choose and I suggest you shop around for the vehicle you want. You may find a better price and most certainly will find better customer service. "For the People"???? Not here!
This place was AWESOME!! They had so many super nice cars. I had so much to choose from. With my not so ok credit i was worried i wouldnt be able to get into anything. But the great staff there made it happen for me and i drove off in a great truck!! I recomend this place to anyone looking for a sweet ride!

So the commercial saying "It's a crime to pay more than a dime". IS A SCAM to pull you in! Also they don't make anything on sales so they don't call you back as promised. I have had to call them! They don't even have any inventory on what I asked for when I get there but the FIRST thing they try to do is run your credit, when they tell you on the phone that they have what you're looking for! Also their prices are outrageous WHEN THEY KNOW THE PRICE! I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!
Spent two days trying to get a car. They made me wait 6 hours in tgeir lobby . and then they had to start over because they put my name in completely wrong.
I was a little disappointed that three referral lead me to this dealership and in all attempts to help me get a car was difficulty with credit situation but when I got offer a lemon. I can't speak on others behalf but they do have nice vehicles, just make sure you know what your getting into.
I have to thank Reuben for the attention and kindness that he treated us but above all for giving us his great help and looking for the best options. Very good place to buy a car, 100% recommended.

They sold me a lemon. Took it to a shop after turbo fault codes were popping up they put a top notch obd code reader too it and saw the codes that had been deleted and when they were deleted. And let me tell you there was a lot of them. Now I m in a couple grand to fix a car I shouldn t have bought in the first place. Good people but the reason they have you sign the as is papers is because there is more wrong with the car then they want you to know so they hide it.
