Sorry, but I simply do not understand how this firm has a 4 star rating! They were the closing attorney on our new home last year. I recently discovered that there were some errors made on our HUD1. After numerous voice mails, emails and speaking with support staff, NO ONE has contacted me! DO NOT let your Realtor and/or mortgage broker use this firm. They know NOTHING about client service!

I only rate 5 stars for Paris Clayton...she has outstanding customer service..

They handed my real estate closing - very professional folks

Attorney was 10 minutes late to a mid-morning closing, apparently did not verify whether money was being wired or a check would be needed for the sellers. I had called the office the day before to verify the time and any other details, the person I spoke with assured me I would receive a call from the attorney later in the day. I didn't get a call from him or even a paralegal or secretary. I've read some reviews about deeds not being recorded for two months so I will absolutely be keeping an eye on this.

I have had the pleasure of closing multiple deals with this law firm. Parris Claytor is an absolute gem and has a passion for ensuring a smooth closing process. Very thorough with my clients as alot of information is covered. Excellent and patient in explaining the closing process to new home buyers.If you are looking for a law firm who goes above and beyond just being a closing attorney, I highly recommend McDonnell and Associates:)!!! Not only will you have your legal needs met in purchasing your new home, but you will walk away feeling like family:)!!! Kudos to a humble team:)!!!

The employees of this place are amazing. They get stuff done. Whenever I need their service it is easy and I know I can trust them!

Do not recommend. They are used by our mortgage company. This was our first home purchase so we didn t take advantage of shopping around for a closing attorney due to convenience. We will definitely shop around next time. Thankfully I have researched up and down and combed through all of the paperwork before closing and had a good understanding of what things meant and didn t require the attorney to explain in great detail what was being signed because our first exchange when we arrived was very abrasive because she was clearly annoyed with my husband reading through what he was signing. 15 mins into closing the attorney was notified by the assistant that they hadn t received our funds and hubby pulled out his checkbook. Apparently they had sent him 2 emails within that week before about what form of payments are allowed. No phone call for communication or to verify closing costs instructions and funds have been sent. Only communication about closing cost instructions was sent via email which may work for some but not us. Especially if you re spouse works 60 hours a week, doesn t check email often and is not good with electronics. So we had to come back since that required a trip to the bank and banks were closed for that day.

Things happen and we are really easy going couple. I don t normally write negative reviews but we left this place in awe of how unprofessional the attorney was. The bad taste we were left with didn t have anything to do with closing instructions. That s a non-factor in influencing me to write this review. We were already discussing A few minutes into the appointment how rude she was before she and we were aware of the funds not being sent electronically and them not accepting a check book check (we are old school, i guess). I just brought that up because others have commented on terrible communication and I wanted to reinforce that since we, too, had that experience. Things happen and we are really easy going and

She was even ranting about an attorney who was new there had just let her know that she was being quarantined because of covid. She was upset because the attorney didn t tell her if she was positive or negative. I understand the frustration but it was just unprofessional. As a client I don t need to hear you rant and def don t need to hear you talking about your co-workers or employees.

Side note, it can take up to a week before you receive covid results, depending on the lab the specimen is sent to. Maybe the attorney didn t tell her because she didn t know. She said that it was that day that the attorney let her know about being quarantined. So it s very likely results were not back and she was being quarantined as a precaution.

5/26/20- sent email as requested. I did not reply sooner. Just had surgery.

I think this is a great Law Firm and it has one of the best paralegals working with them

Cole Portney and his team were AMAZING! As a first-time home seller, they walked me through the whole process and made things really easy. Cole was very personable and approachable, and answered any questions I had. I will be using his company again for my estate planning in the future!

Man, they came to my house for the closing- how cool was that. I had nothing but good service with McDonnell and Associates. I highly recommend them.

I would give them zero I could. First they did not have our paperwork ready, second they did not add my wife to the deed like I wanted. This office was very unorganized. This was the worse home buying experience of my life.

McDonnell and Associates are the closing attorneys that you need. They will come to you to make it easy. Give them a call for all attorney needs.

I only wish I could leave zero stars for the abysmal service we received from this law firm. They were not slow in responses to us, because there was very often in fact NO response to us. They do not answer the phone. They do not return messages or e-mails. I had to go to the office at one point to find out what was going on with our file because it had taken so long to get the title work done for our lender. I would NEVER recommend this business. The one redeeming employee they have is Stephanie Argoe. She is incredibly helpful, professional and courteous. Our experience was totally awful, except for our interaction with her. Save yourself the time and frustration and go elsewhere.

We did our re-finance paperwork with this law firm. They are very thorough and friendly. I will recomment this place for any real estate properties.

Worked with McDonnell and Associates to buy my home. They were professional and did the job. The only downside was I had to wait about 45 minutes to get the paperwork printed after the assigned appointment time, but part of it was due to my loan provider not getting them the paperwork until about 1 hour prior to appointment. I'm planning on going back for more real estate needs.

Closed on a home in September of last year and I had to pick up paperwork from this firm..the staff was more interested in something that was on a coworkers phone than assisting me...

Messed up multiple details on my closing, almost cost me $5,000- I went with another local Real Estate Attorney as was much happier. Avoid this company please

McDonnell and Associates are always very detail oriented and always have everything ready to go for all of their real estate closings! Very easy to work with.

My husband and I purchased a house and was given the unfortunate opportunity to work with the Real Estate "team" at this law firm. This has been the worst home buying experience we have ever had. The only word I can use to sum up the "professionals" working here is: lazy and deceitful. After wondering why our house had not been recorded for 2 months, I called McDonnell and Associates and was completely brushed off - "they were working on it". So, I then called the recording office and was told that my recording had been rejected 3 times and sent back 3 times to McDonnell and Assoc. I was furious that I did not receive a call or email or anything telling me there were so many delays.

Finally, after another week or so, it was recorded. Then I was told that my recorded original power of attorneys and recorded deed would be sent to me in the mail. Now, here I sit, another entire MONTH later. I have heard nothing and still have none of my documents.

Please don't waste your money, time, and energy on working with this company. There are MUCH more competent law firms to work with.

My overall experience with McDonnell and Associates was good . However , the person that stood out most was Paris...we were having problems with the title company getting the new deed filed and Paris went above and beyond to assist us with this issue . I highly recommend Paris for helping with all your needs !

Refinancing is never an easy task but Megan made it so!! She is personable, friendly and walked us thru each step making sure that we understood everything before signing. She was a pleasure to work with.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY DO NOT SHOE UP WE WAITED 2 HRS PAST WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE HERE After waiting from 6 pm to 8 pm we decided your lawyer wasn't coming I talked with several people today from your company due to issues Pinny Mac also talked with you we thought you would do what you said you would and be here at 6 pm to close the notary was here at 6 and waited we called the lawyer a little after 6 pm she was at the Atlanta airport her story was she was told 7 pm we know that not true But still ok she said she would come straight to us we know that is a lie also we are 45 mins from the airport with traffic so all of time was wasted by you I have asked Pinny Mac to never use you again If you are not going to come just say so but you will not get another chance with me ! I hope Pinny Mac will charge you for all the extra cost that will be involved with the next closing If I choice to give Pinny Mac another chance
