A totally disappointing experience. My wife an I decided to try a new place since i was looking for a steak we choose McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks. Let's just say we should have left because things started off bad and went downhill quickly.

When we came into the restaurant the hostess wasn't at her podium but returned pretty quickly. We said two and she grabbed two menus and started walking us to the dining room. That's when another hostess stopped her, said something, then said to us, "I'm sorry, but all of our dining room is filled up with reservations, but can sit out here in the bar which has our full menu." Honestly, that wasn't the worse thing in the world because the Orioles game, which was on delay, would be on the TVs so we said yes.

So we sat down at the low top and started looking over the menus. 2 minutes turned into 5 which turned into 10 minutes and no server showed up. If it wasn't raining outside and we only had a small umbrella, we would have left, but we decided to stick it out. Finally a waiter cam by and asked, "Has anyone taken your order yet?" We were like no and he was like, I'll be right back. Three minutes later he comes back and asks to take our drink and appetizer order.

We each get a drink and we decided to spurge for the blue point oysters at $2.70 a piece because well, if you ever had blue point oysters they are great. When he returns, he brings as some bread and our drinks. Another 5-7 minutes go by and our Oysterds come out. If they were bluepoint, they were the smallest, baby oysters we eve saw. They were worse then a bull and oyster roast oyster. We got six so we each quickly slurped down the small little oysters that cost us $16.20. $16.20 for a half dozen tiny oysters.

He took our order and I order the Rib eye at $39 and my wife got the stuffed swordfish. Our sides were extra and I mean like $7 for mashed red pepper potatoes and $9 for sauteed mushrooms.

The food didn't take too long to come out. I was thinking my $39 steak was going to be pretty good, but what i found was a chewwy, tough steak. It was cooked to my specifications of medium rare, bu the piece of meat was not better then anything you could have gotten at Texas Roadhouse or some other chain steak house. My wife's swordfish was dry and was average at best. Halway through my steak and girl from the kitchen comes out and asks me "Ribeye" and I was like, "Yes" and she starts to give me another one. I pointed to me half eaten rib eye and tell her there's a mistake and she takes the ribeye back to the kitchen.

Overall the food was below average for the amount we paid but not terrible, besides the ridiculous oysters which were probably not real blue point.

Now here comes the fun part, the bill comes over and I glance at the itemized list and thought it said $120 which seemed about right. I give him my card and he comes back and gives me a non itemized bill of $178. Doing quick math in my head this doesn't add up so i ask him for the itemized bill. Well when he comes back it becomes real easy to find the problem, remember that other ribeye they try to bring me, well they charged me for two $39 ribeyes.

I call the waiter back and he goes, "Oh, they were supposed to take that off." He takes the check back and about five minutes later, he comes back with a new check. I look over it again because now I have no trust, and sure enough they tried to charge me $6 for something I didn't order. We ask for a manager and manager goes over and fixes the check. when he comes back he says a quick little "sorry for that" and takes off.

So if you enjoy overcooked, average food, servers that can't get your bill right, and and overall confused staff and unapologetic managers, then this is your place to go. For us, we made a $150 mistake on our special date night.
