NigelHastibeer. Bought my Caddy from him, live in Pietermaritzburg. He not only organized NP number plates, but delivered the car to me at home. Owned it Three Days, had a problem, picked up and delivered to Barons in OMB. They kept the car for TWELVE DAYS and didn t do Anything to it. I went in and told them, amongst other things that they don t care about the vehicles for repair, or their customers! Nigel called after 12 days,Sorry they don t have time to fix it. He organized to get it down to the Umhlanga workshop. Collected it on Wednesday, delivered it to me at my home in PMB on the Friday evening. He has always worked to ensure l was, and stay, a satisfied customer. 10/10 for your willingness to help, often returning my vehicle after hours, and promising that any/ all issues will be dealt with in Umhlanga, so l Never have to go near Barons again. Thank you. Deserve #1 , no matter how good the rest of Umhlanga VW staff are.....

I have been battered by VWSA.
Umhlanga VW Service is pathetic on all levels. From communication to the actual physical labor.
They will take away the reliability of your people's car with substandard car washes and deceit.
No properly skilled technicians or manager.
No torque wrenches in the workshop. How do they correctly torque those steel oil sump drain bolts in those Aluminium oil sumps ...I wonder? How do they torque anything to spec as per service repair manual? Do they have or read a repair manual?
Service advisors lie constantly.
Your car will not be serviced according to its German standard.
Vw customer care does not CARE and will blame the dealer. To and fro bickering between dealer and factory, leaving you stranded. Don't bother with vw service complaint calls. Rather we all lodge complaints at the motor ombudsman.
Take your vw elsewhere or learn to service the people's car/van etc yourself. Or simply move to the 3 star or heli propellor signs.
They will damage your car and your expensive oem alloy wheels at service.
They will attach your motorplan service parts to someone else's vinn. Then they will leave you stranded with malfunctioning and broken wipers and other consumables till your next due service change.
These are just some of the issues I have experienced with my current vw premium 100000km automotive motor plan.
To date no senior factory service personnel has contacted me, despite my numerous written and telephonic complaints. The highest point of complaint is their call Centre personnel. You will not be directed or given any further management contact details by the call Centre.
You will not find anything any senior vw Uitenhage factory management contact details anywhere.
If any other vw dealership in the Durban/umhlanga area are professional and beg to differ, by showing us loyal vw fanatics the excellent 5 star service, kindly contact me.

Most shocking service I got now from this VW group bringing a second hand Amarok to test drive that's steering is all out of sorts.The sales lady said the bakkie have 17 000 km on and there is a big fault with the steering.

How must I make a decision based on a faulty Amarok bakkie.To purchase a new bakkie and spend R650 000 on a new 1 but could not get a proper feel of what's the bakkie all about.

And then to tell me there is no new Amarok bakkie in the whole of Durban how must I purchase 1 then based on a second hand peace of rubbish they brought me to test drive.

To tell me I the sales agent went trough so much trouble getting the vehicle to me to test drive.And bringing a faulty vehicle to test drive just blows my mind.

Please go and learn at Ford and Toyota what service is all about lost all my respect for the VW brand as a whole and as n keen bakkie owner the Amarok can go and sleep.

Hopefully if they work with Ford they can learn what good service is.,

Waste of time.... never will I go back there.. lost my lock nut for my wheel... had a slow puncture so I went to them to buy a new set cause that's what they told me to do... only to find out the new set I bought is completely different... I explained to them to remove it as they have a master lock nut set but told me to book the car in.. took the car to weiss vw within 10mins they opened it and put the new set on for free....

Looks very professional. We'll see when service is done.
